General Appearance:
Being of muted Sioux descent, Tak has some features of her Native American heritage - thick, straight black hair; mildly tan skin; and strong features, such as high cheekbones, a sharp nose, and a somewhat thick-lipped mouth. Her eyes are intense, and a deep olive-green color that she often enhances with dark liner, brown or violet eyeshadow, and mascara. When she's feeling more adventurous, she does like to play with her appearance, whether pulling her hair into intricate braids or going with more daring make-up. She does this especially when taking self-portraits or being photographed by someone else. She's at a small 5'3", and weighs in at around 120 lbs, with an athletic build she gets from running, swimming, and occasionally working out.
Clothing-wise, she generally wears whatever she finds at thrift or used-clothing stores, which can range from cute dresses to slouchy shirts to baggy sweaters and anywhere in between. She has no set fashion choice, so it's impossible to know what she'll wear on any given occasion. However, she does have a feather necklace she wears almost constantly.
Personality:
When one meets Tak for the first time, the first thing that will probably come out of her mouth is the name of an animal. So first of all, she's not the best at socialization. While she has some friends, she doesn't open up very easily to people, and can come across as cold or aloof. However, those few friends she has she feels extremely loyal towards, and if she trusts someone enough, they can get a deeper sense of who she is and what she's feeling. For the most part, though, she will talk to someone if she finds them interesting; it will just take a while for her to really trust someone new. She doesn't anger easily and isn't easily offended, but when she is, she will let you know. She dislikes authority of all kinds, and hates people telling her what to do. Stubbornness is her middle name.
She feels a strong connection towards animals, namely deer, which she considers 'her' animal. She spends a lot of time outdoors, mainly to take photographs or find inspiration for a photoshoot, or to just watch the sun rise and contemplate life. She loves and appreciates nature, and even performs Sioux rituals on her own, such as the Sun Dance Ritual, though not nearly as complex since she is so far from home and has few people to perform them with.
Tak enjoys body modifications of all kinds, whether they're her own tattoos and piercings or someone else's. She adores henna as well, and nearly always has at least one somewhere on her body.
She also enjoys singing, whether by herself or in a crowd - she's not particularly shy, and she thinks her voice is quite soothing and melodic.
When it comes to romance, Tak is open to it, but isn't sure what her feelings are towards relationships. She'd like to test out how she feels about someone before making any solid arrangements, so she's more than likely to date two or three guys at a time before either settling on one or deciding she doesn't like any of them. Confessions of love would be few and far between, so if she does admit her love for anyone, it would be totally absolute. She does, however, find enjoyment in casual closeness and kissing, and, yes, sex.

History
Tak was born on April 15th, 1995, in the Fork Peck Indian Reservation in northeastern Montana. Both of her parents were half-Sioux, but fully embraced the culture in which they lived. Her mother was a meta-human, gifted with terrakinesis, but her father was a normal human.
Living on the reserve, though different from many other parts of the United States, was a nice enough life - she attended school, learned both the Siouan language and English, and was intrigued by pop culture and photography. She sometimes felt underprivileged because her family was poor and they didn't have a lot of material wealth, but she found contentment in nature and the culture in which she lived. She was always a bit shy and unsocial, especially because she was paler-skinned than many of the other children in school, but she had some friends to keep her happy. When she was six, her mother gave birth to her sister, Niabi, whom she loved dearly.
When she was thirteen, her tribe was performing a Sun Dance ritual, as they did often throughout the year. These rituals consisted of dancing, drums, fasting, and smoking from the sacred pipe, along with body piercings, traditionally done on the back, chest, or arms. This year, Tak decided to get her first piercing, the one on her back that she still has today and spurred her love of body modifications. While high on the fumes of the smoke, she began getting strange sensations when she came into close contact with people. Of course, strange sensations, even visions were normal during these times, but something about this was different. She began knowing things about people before meeting them, such as how they would react to certain stimuli or how they handled stress. It was a weird sensation, and the more people she came into contact with, the drowsier and more fuzzy her head became, until she fell into a slumber.
She hadn't realized at the time that her power had manifested, not until the recruiters came and told her and her parents. Soon afterward, she found herself being pulled away from her family and culture, as much as she hated to leave and defied it as long as she could. Still, she had no choice in the matter, and soon was living at Hammel, feeling homesick and very alone. She's still there today, finally having found a place in the chaos that is the Institute and continuing to develop her abilities, which she loves. She visits the Reservation as often as Hammel allows, and hopes to soon move back to attend college there at Fort Peck Community College.
