The Basics
Name: Suekeichi Minamori
Nicknames: Fox, Kitsune, That Bastard
Age: 41
Orientation: Bisexual strongly leaning toward men.
Desired Rank/Job: Teacher, preferably Botany, but can teach Biology as well.
Play By: Mansai Nomura
Powers: Plant Manipulation & Photosynthesis.
Suekeichi can only manipulate living plants and seeds. He cannot manifest plants out of thin air, bring dead plants back to life, or bring life from a seed that wouldn't have sprouted in the first place.
He has a preference for flowering plants.
His powers work better the more direct sunlight he's in. He's also more energetic when outside in the sunlight. He suffers from S.A.D. in the winter months.
The photosynthesis is strictly an energy process. Suekeichi still needs to eat, just not as regularly when he's spending a lot of time outside. His appetite sees a seasonal shift. In the summer he'll go a good week or more between substantial meals, whereas in the winter months, it's as if he's preparing for an eating contest of some sort.
He's almost constantly drinking water (or tea, he really likes tea) as he's prone to dehydration otherwise.
The Details
Hair Color: Brownish black...most of the time.
Eye Color: Brown.
Any Piercings? Wouldn't you like to know? (No.)
Any Tattoos? Tribal fox tattoo on his arm.
Any Scars? Nothing big, if anything noticeable, it's under his clothes and from years ago and faded.
General Appearance: Suekeichi dresses fairly casually. Sticks to button down shirts (with or without ties, he's not that picky). As a youth, he usually wore his school uniform, and nicer clothes. He didn't start wearing jeans until he attended Eisai and met Vincent. Now jeans are a fairly regular thing, and he can be found in them (as well as either barefoot or in flip flops) when he's in the greenhouses especially. He's very comfortable in slacks as well as he wore them almost predominantly before attending Eisai.
His hair, nowadays, is kept short and neat. He went through a "rebellious" stage during his time at Eisai where he grew his hair longer and shaggier. It also went through various color stages (ask him about his red phase sometime...) The "colorful punk" stage lasted the majority of a year, but proved to contain some interesting stories. (Ask Vincent about the time Suekeichi dyed his hair blue. Vincent was unamused. Suekeichi was extremely amused.)
While he doesn't have a need for corrective lenses, Suekeichi has varying colors of contact lenses (and a notorious pair of John Lennon-esque glasses). Some for the "what the crap?" reaction, some because they are colorful and pretty.
Suekeichi loves color, always has and always will. He likes to be remembered. His love of color, plants, and personality in general usually make him stand out. He likes that.
He ranks in at 5'11" and slim in build. He used to pull off rather convincing cross-plays in his younger days. With age, his shoulders have gotten broader, but he can still make a convincing woman if he puts his mind to it (okay, a really tall woman, but still...)
Suekeichi almost constantly smiles. Even if the smile is only visible in his eyes, it's there. He's got a friendly demeanor, and resembles a fox (hence the nicknames). He's very relaxed in posture and stride. Sometimes he can be seen walking with a limp, but it's slight until the weather is cold or he's been in a single position for way too long. He loves to laugh, he loves making people laugh, and it shows in the way he holds himself.
Personality: Suekeichi , as previously stated, is a very happy individual. He loves to smile and laugh. He absolutely loves pranks, and will pull them on just about anyone. He leans toward harmless ones, and won't sacrifice professionalism for the sake of a prank.
He's very comfortable in his own skin and extremely extroverted.
Suekeichi could almost be considered a hippie with his barefoot, plant and nature loving ways. He's not vegan, and while he's fine with vegetarian cuisine, he absolutely loves chicken and steak. Mmmm steak. He stays as natural as he can in clothing fibers mostly because synthetic fibers irritate his skin. He makes his own shampoos, conditioners, and lotions because most commercial ones contain non-natural ingredients that also irritate his skin.
Suekeichi doesn't have a firm grasp on his emotional state. He's a short fuse and extremely protective of those dearest to him. Though his anger is explosive and quick to cool, he doesn't forget and has a hard time forgiving those that have wronged him. He can cry at the drop of a hat, especially if he's had too much to drink. He doesn't prefer negative emotions, so he tries to keep his moods up as often as he can.

History
Suekeichi was born to Daichi Ueda and Shiori Ueda on June 2, 1971. Daichi, a member of the Japanese police force, was shot and killed in action in 1973. Shiori remarried in 1978, bringing Ichihiro Minamori into their lives. Suekeichi and Ichihiro never had much of a father-son bond as Ichihiro, a businessman, spent the majority of his time at the office or traveling. Shinji was born in 1980.
In 1983 at the age of 12, Suekeichi came into his powers. Growing up with a mother that owned a flower shop helped develop his love of flowers, especially cherry blossoms. Hanami became his favorite time of year, not only for the flowers, but it was the one time of year his family spent together. 1983 would end up being the year that Suekeichi didn't want to let go of this special family time, and threw a tantrum when the time came to leave. He climbed one of the cherry blossom trees, refused to come down. When his father climbed the tree to retrieve him, Suekeichi clung to the branch, screaming how much he didn't want to go. That particular tree retained blooms after the others around them had lost theirs. It wasn't long until young Suekeichi was whisked away to Eisai.
During his student years at Eisai, he learned that aside from plant manipulation, he has some degree of photosynthesis. He also became rather unlikely friends with Vincent Meian. Vincent had stopped a group of boys that had been on the receiving end of one of Suekeichi's pranks from pummeling him senseless. Their friendship eventually blossomed into a relationship. Suekeichi holds Vincent in high regard, even to this day, and even though they are not as close.
His last year at Esai, he met Arisa Kinomoto and promptly fell head over heels in love with her. Impulsive as he was, their engagement happened rather quickly, and was announced to their families just after graduation. Their engagement ended abruptly with Arisa's death at the hands of a drunk driver. Suekeichi was devastated.
After Arisa's death, and subsequent moping on his part, Suekeichi ended up putting his mind to being accepted to Oxford University. He got his Bachelors in Biological Science, and went on to obtain his Doctorate in Plant Sciences. After completing his studies, he obtained a teaching position at Kocher, and taught there for a few years until deciding that he wanted to reunite with Vincent and applied for a transfer to Hammel. Besides, Suekeichi always wanted to see the United States, and now seemed to be the perfect chance to do just that.
Roleplay Example
(This is from a separate roleplay of mine, if you need more from that, I can provide links or something.)
One last drag and the cigarette was done. She snuffed it out on the tray and paused to listen to the radio. Some advertisement for something she didn't care about. Well, that’s enough of that. Emma stood now, folding the paper and setting it on the table before making her way to shut the damned thing off. She hadn't heard Marcus through the closed door, but she decided that it might be a good idea to check that her guest wasn't dead yet. That'd be terribly dull. She frowned a bit, but it faded by the time she made it to the door.
It gave a slow, drawn out creak as she let it swing open. It had scared the wits out of the lady she'd had down here the week prior. It was a pity to see her die. She was pretty, and had some decent fight in her. Had some money, or at least knew someone with money. She'd been well dressed, and took care of herself. That was one thing Emma always insisted on. Her guests couldn't be slobs. That was one thing she'd liked about Marcus. It was evident that he took care of himself, took pride in his looks and the state of his body. It made him the perfect target.
She was at the base of the stairs now, a good ten feet or so from where he lay, peering through the plastic sheeting. "Oh good, you’re awake." Excitement laced her voice, and her eyes gleamed with anticipation. This was going to be fun. Well...at least for her it was.
