As Ellie pressed down the keys on the piano in the rehearsal room, she closed her eyes and sang along with the song. It wasn't for anything in particular though she'd have loved to sing something in the talent show. Ever since her and Jack had talked about it, she had wanted so badly to do something like that. Her best bet of getting out there and showing someone her talent was through choir though.

Solo opportunities were usually given to the older members first and on down through the ranks. Ellie was getting close to being a senior, but she still had a couple years before she got first dibs. Lucky for her some of the older members weren't exactly comfortable with singing in front of an auditorium full of people. Elisia was a wallflower by nature, but when she was on stage, she opened up and it was like she was comfortable enough to express herself in front of all those people as long as she was singing.

Ellie finished up the song and sat there for a moment. Choir was fun and all, but being stuck in the background wasn't going to get her anywhere and it was frustrating to know she'd have to wait a little longer.

Rayne knew he was going to have it this year. He wanted it all. It was his final year, and then college and then who knows what else. It was exciting, knowing that what you do or plan this year will decide your entire future. He wanted it all. The new boyfriend, the new friends, the new experiences. And most importantly - the solos. It was traditional that final year seniors got the solo's in the senior show choir competition in May. May was only five months away, and he seriously couldn't wait. Like - seriously! Every morning he was waking up for a run. He was doing laps and then singing in the choir room before going to class. After lessons he would rehearse in the music room, always with a new number to keep the juices flowing. Music was what he wanted to do, and if there was one thing he had learnt being with Logan was to follow your dreams. Maybe in that particular instance that whole idea backfired and turned to crap, but the idea still works here. If Rayne wanted it all this year, he was going to have to fight for it. And if he wanted a solo, then he was going to need a partner. The question is - who?

There is Noam. A good kid, killer voice and is into most musicals that Rayne is into. Also he has the kind of bicurious vibe about him. But everyone knows how reckless the dude can be. Rayne is smarter then that. If Michael's intensions are directly on the choir, then Rayne would be 'right on!', but he has doubts. Also they don't really get along. And singing with Amara, with empathic abilities he would almost see it as cheating. God, so much talent in this school right. But in order to do the best performance, he needed someone who reached his range. Someone who knew how to love music like he did. Walking down the hall, bearing a straight brown jacket and a black and white scalf, accompanied by yellow rimmed shades he walked into the choir room. Someone? Anyone? Then he heard it.

Peaking around the corner, he heard Ellie's vocals. Ellie! Of course! He knew that doing a duet with a junior was risky, but that voice. Adele would freakin' tear right now! Moving in a bit more, she finished up as he walked in smiling. Why didn't she think of her first, she was the coolest chick out. That innocent stage presence, the cute fashion sense and not to mention he had three classes and was in choir, drama and cinema club with her. It made sense. But she definitely needed some kind of standing ovation. Clapping subtly as he walked in, giving her an impressed smile he walked up with his bag strung over his side. "That was amazing, Elisia. Some people can sing Adele and then some people completely show Adele up". He smiled as he tossed his bag on the floor and stood with an arm on the piano top.
