Clash of the Titans (Haley Shapiro)

[Jay Downs]

The sound of the sneakers tapping on the pavement notified those around that he was coming. Skit, skit, went the black shoes as Jay walked, his feet dragging ever so lightly as he kept his pace. The bottoms of his loose cut Old Navy jeans tattered and torn from wear they had slipped under his shoes. The dark blue pants clashed in contrast with the white ribbed cotton of the A-shirt Jay wore. The typical under shirt was tucked in and secured in place with a belt.

The freshly turned sixteen year old youths dirty blond hair danced gently in the mid summer breeze as J.D. headed out to the training field to test out the limits of his of his meta human ability. Jay Downs' eyes shown blue like crystal waters. He was to partner up during the exorcise but who the teachers had picked as his partner he had no idea he just hoped he was not late.

Turning his left wrist outward slightly so he could see the time on his watch Jay would check it as he continued his path. The noon day sun past its prime still warmed the afternoon. He was not late, he absolutely hated being late, but he continued his steady walk that eased him along. His slightly under six foot height allowing him the freedom of a medium pace.

When Haley was happy, things didn't go boom. She tried hard not to do it, at least in school. Less things in school went boom when she was in a good mood.

It was very unfortunate, then, that Haley Shapiro was not the happiest girl in Hammel at that moment. Having been asked to sit down and keep quiet after asking a question she was struggling with, the dark-haired fourteen year old stomped through the halls, hitting anything within hands' reach.

It just so happened that as she walked past the now dented lockers, her fist connected with a sixteen year old blonde that was walking in front of her.

"Fuck! Could you not walk within my radius?" She yelled, staring up at the giant in front of her.

His back went ice cold as his body went into over drive to absorb the impact causing him to jump forward as though some one had dropped an ice cube down the back of his shirt unexpectedly. The energy of the impact surged through him like an adrenaline rush as he staggered forward. The chill causing him to deliver a curse from the star wars universe,"Osik an."

Whipping around on his heels Jay Downs almost overlooked the girl behind him. Well he would have if she had not been yelling at him and thus gaining his attention. Looking down at the girl he had to force himself not to attack her after all he was raised a proper young man...

"Careful you might hit an object that hits back."

When the boy didn't really move that much away from Haley, she immediately knew something was up. Even when she did something accidentally, the reaction comes back tenfold. So either this boy had armoured skin, or he was built for impact. Either way, this could get interesting.

At his response, Haley wiped her nose with her thumb and sneered at the boy. "Call me when you find it, would ya?"
