Powers: Charm: a form of hypnotic suggestion - anyone who looks into Gabe's eyes may be subject to an enhanced opinion of him. Generally, people become very willing to do as Gabe says and their desire to be with/around him increases. If somebody hates Gabe, however, their hatred will increase due to the inner conflict created by a sudden, inexplicable want to like Gabe despite their hatred. Once eye contact is broken it takes anywhere from a minute to a couple hours for the effect to wear off usually depending on how long exposure to Gabriel's eyes last(as well as how hard Gabe wanted to effect the victim). The power only works with direct eye contact - which is why Gabe nearly always wears glasses(so when he is tempted to use his power he if thwarted by his own 'style'). Side effects include drowsiness from repetitive use as well as dry eyes.

General Appearance: Gabe is considered short for a guy standing only 5'8" but he carries himself like he is 7 foot tall. Gabe has thick, curly, dark brown hair which becomes wild if he grows it out too long and thick almost triangular eyebrows which he tends to get comments about. He often goes days without shaving, allowing his face to become quite scruffy. When he does shave, though, he has a babyface which causes him to be mistaken for a student. Gabe is nearly always wearing glasses because of his ability.
Personality:Gabe is a funny, naturally charismatic person who genuinely cares about people and music. Growing up in a strict household he became quite the gentleman. His parents were very strict in terms of manners, but growing up with two seemingly perfect older brothers made Gabe want to fight for attention - which is where is goofy attitude comes from.
He is a little lost in terms of where he is going in life, but he is enthusiastic and determined to figure it out. He is often tempted to cheat to get his way, even though he knows its wrong, because he is convinced he cannot do things on his own. As a child he was often compared to his older brothers, which left Gabe feeling quite insignificant and helpless (and the fact he was always shorter than other boys didn't help Gabe's confidence). These feelings still follow him, despite his separation from the environment while he attended Hammel.
Gabe is a hopeless romantic who gets his heart broken easily. He becomes overly attached to people, places, and concepts. He creates huge dreams and is crushed when things don't work out the way he planned. He wants to make a name for himself without following all the rules his parents imposed on him as a kid. He sees how miserable his parents and brothers can be sometimes and he doesn't want to end up that way. Gabe wants his life to be fun and adventurous.He wants to love life the way he felt his family never could. His past and the way his parents view him still effects his confidence and drive, however.
He will probably make a great teacher though he knows he is under qualified which makes him nervous. He doesn't want to teach for the rest of his life but he figures while he's figuring his direction out he can help some kids figure themselves out too.

History
Gabriel was born into a very prim and proper christian family where he quickly caused chaos. His brothers were much older than he and acted with complete respect and proper manners. Gabe was much different than Isaac and Noah from the time he was little. Gabe just wanted to joke around, have fun, sing songs and dance around. And whenever his parents tried to discipline him, Gabe would struggle to take direction. He felt like his brothers were favored which made him act out more to gain attention. He learned pretty early on how to fake his way through family dinners and church to please his parents, but as the black sheep of his family he never felt like he belonged and didn't feel happy unless he was working on his music.
When he was 14 Gabe decided to ask his mom for a new bike (instead of using his brothers' old run down bikes). He looked into her eyes and pleaded with her to go to the toy store and buy a bike. That night he somehow came home with not only a bike but a new guitar and twenty CDs from the music shop. Two days later he was taken away to Hammel where he spent 4 years mastering his ability and continuing to fall in love with his music. (At Hammel he was known as the asshole who always wore sunglasses indoors - but it was required so he couldn't charm the teachers out of taking tests and handing in assignments)
Now, Gabriel is struggling to decide if he really has it in himself to make it big. He used his ability to get himself a record deal, but realized it was wrong and declined the offer. He's come back to Hammel for the time being to teach some kids music and spend some time figuring himself out. His parents and brothers still aren't totally comfortable with his ability or his life ambition, but they do have a decent relationship.
Roleplay Example
Gabe was pacing nervously around the fountain in the middle of the Spiritus grounds. He had agreed to meet Mikayla here at 6. It was currently 5:57 and he wasn't sure why he kept checking the time or why he had decided being 20 minutes early was a good idea.
He consistently checked his reflection in the water. He had tried to tame his hair, with no avail. He straightened out his red bow tie for what was probably the 100th time. His black button down shirt was tucked neatly in his pants. His glasses were red which matched his tie, but otherwise he was dressed completely in black and he wondered if that was a wise choice, but then reminded himself for the 1000th time that the only person he was trying to impress couldn't even see him. That didn't stop him from wanting to look the best possible for her though. It was strange.
He leaned on the top of his guitar case, and tapped his fingers. Waiting was killing him, and he tried to justify his reasons for it again, but failed. He groaned slightly, before humming a tune to himself to calm his nerves. He hoped she didn't know he would be preforming tonight. He wasn't sure how she WOULD know, but it was still a concern to him.
