[/i]The easy S T U F F . . .Name: Ivan Taras Avlang
Nickname: No
Age: Thirty
Member Group: Local
Power(s): Energy Constructs - Ivan has the ability to pull his energy and emotions together to form somewhat living creatures that he calls "Ruh", the Arabic word for ‘soul’ and the closest word to what they are that he has found. He makes small creatures from energy, featureless but have a somewhat humanoid shape. He can also create extensions to his physicality, the best known are his dark hands that he uses often.
In order to keep control of his powers, he must meditate daily. He also must keep in control of his emotions, so to many, it seems like he is emotionless, when he's more quiet and reclusive. Also, he can only create what he sees in his mind and what he paints. If he hasn't painted it, he can't create it with the energy. His powers, if he does not meditate, paint and keep himself cool, will wound him terribly. If he has excess energy when he goes to bed, his dreams will make uncontrolled ruh that can attack him and people around him.
Because of his power, he has a terrible sense of spatial awareness. He also has rises and falls of energy, and has to consume food constantly all day to keep his levels up. He also cannot handle being in a high-energy place, such as a concert or a club because the energy affects his ability to keep his Ruh in control.

Accounts made of Ivan Zykov from the people that have met or heard of him
“...like some ten foot pole trying to fit in a two foot door. Could hear the screaming and kicking and yelling from two floors down.”
- Ivana Alexeyeva dorm monitor
“I knew he wasn’t like the other boys. We’ve brought in kids from the streets before. And they were some very bad seeds but he was...unique even back then. I couldn’t quite place what it was but he scared me.”
- Adrian Dubrovski recruiter
“He was a quiet boy in class. Well, my class anyway. Nobody could draw like him. That I can assure you. For all the things he has done wrong, that was the one thing he did quite right.”
- Masha Zhukova art teacher
“That Zykov boy. He got more isolation than daylight. Wouldn’t want to be him any day. I mean, I already get an electrokinetic working on me every two weeks but him, he gets that foreigner every day. In the basement. It’s not what any kid would want. Not even here.”
- Alexei Kireyev random student
“He helped me steal a pack of cigarettes once. Using his constructs. I don’t know why he did it. Always thought he wanted to reach out after everything...but after that incident, we never spoke.”
- Grigory Kryukov random student
“I don’t think anyone realised how much he internalised everything. Given his ability, you would think he would have just destroyed our facility. Especially after what we did to him. The experiments, the training...for all that we thought he was the monster we were creating, there wasn’t a full retaliation. He was more human than we were.”
- subject refused to be named researcher
“We knew what we were doing. But we gave him more than what we took. His ability to absorb knowledge like a sponge, though we took advantage of that, he was the better for it, I believe. He left this institute a learned young man. Skilled in military operation, multilingual, weapons expert, he was especially adept at close combat. Of course we knew what we were doing. We were making Ivan better.”
- subject refused to be named military operator
“I could hear strange noises from his apartment. Yes, strange noises were commonplace but this one sounded...wrong. He never brought people home with him so I knew it wasn’t a person making those noises. His apartment would be in a mess the morning after and he would be sprawled naked in the corner. He had paid a full year’s rent but I couldn’t keep him around especially after my child started getting nightmares, saying these black shadows kept coming through the walls.”
- Abram Mikhaylov landlord
“I don’t know what I saw. All I knew was that the blonde lady ran with the man that tore off this other man’s skull right off his shoulders. Maybe. I couldn’t be too sure. It was too dark. But the blonde lady. The terrifying part was she followed him.”
- subject refused to be named random passerby
“I’m not supposed to say anything but hey, off the record right? Yeah, Ivan Zykov to Ivan Avlang. I won’t get into trouble will I? This won’t go to the press? I swear I know nothing else about this.”
- Cilya Ivankova clerk
“Anastasia van Drakke seems to have hit the jackpot when it comes to her new beau. But is Ivan Avlang really a beau? They never seem to interact except a few lean-ins and an occasional hand on her back. But god, that jaw could cut glass.”
- Jenna Siever gossip columnist
“It was them right? The blonde heiress and her bodyguard. I could hear them in the alley. I didn’t see much but it’s unmistakeable, right? He seems rough. Like...he could definitely handle you, you know?”
- subject refused to be named random passerby
“That night wasn’t so much a disaster but you know how Anastasia’s posse was. But even with the distractions, Ivan was the one thing that unnerved the fuck out of me. Mind my language. Though, it shouldn’t be left unsaid, the way that man was with Anastasia, I don’t think any man had ever been that...enamored with a woman before. Maybe not enamored but...there is a certain way a man places his hand and his eyes on a woman that you know, you just know that there isn’t anything he wouldn’t do for her. Ivan had that by the handful. And then some. Yeah, he looked like he could snap the knife he was holding in two but there’s no denying, Anastasia had his full attention.”
- Ella Tate Hammel recruiter
“According to some of the interviews I’ve gotten with the couple, I can tell how protective Ivan is. He doesn’t show it outwardly and you have to really concentrate on the little things he says to Eva and to the people around them at the time but you can tell that he would kill for her. I’m surprised a lot of disappearances here in Pilot Ridge aren’t linked to him.”
- Nolan Taylor homestyle journalist
“He bakes really good pie.”

Age: I’m so so so old.
RP Experience: Eleventy nine years and twenty seven days
How did you find us?: It was a dark and stooooorrrrmy night. Clouds were nowhere in sight. Everything was dead but one light. Coming from the computer screen of one little sprite. In her room of darkness she did with all her might. To resist the tempting call without delight. But for all that she tried with all she had inside. Hammel, she knew was her respite. Oh my God, masterpiece.
