Okay, I started a tumblr just so I could put up information on my family’s company. Along with pictures of me, and some other stuff. Recently I had added a Q&A, so now I’m able to get around to answering them. While looking through them I was kind of surprised by how personal some of these questions were…
What’s the first thing you remember, out of your life time?
I have to say the first thing is the first, and only fight my parents had in front of me, or where I could hear them. They were fighting over a company decision, at least that’s what I had gotten from it. Even though they didn’t fight over me, I know that they had still fought… Thanks to a few workers who were chatty Kathys. Unfortunately the thing that they ended up bonding over, ended up breaking them apart. They both are very stubborn people who didn’t know how to compromise. In the end they couldn’t handle the fighting and disagreements, and couldn’t work together on a few things, so they ended up getting a divorce. They divorced when I was ten, and stayed divorced. Yet neither one is wanting, or looking for other relationships, so I believe they still love each other a great deal. But like I said, they are both stubborn.
What made your parents want to make a gaming company?
My parents pretty much grew up watching technology grow; they were always amazed by its development through the years, as they were growing up. Yes, they moved through that together, because that had been best friends since elementary school. As they grew up, they found a love for technology together, and in that found love in each other. It was because of this that made them want to explore it together, and most of the passion they had was for video games, and they felt like it was a good platform to stand on. So, they went through years, and years of college, studying the same things. Eventually they made Jekyll and Hyde corporations.
Although they are now divorced they still manage to work together. Yeah both my parents still manage to ruin the company together, unfortunately when they can’t agree on something; they come to me to decide. Which I’m actually kind of fine with, if they weren’t so stubborn about their opinions or ideas.
Who are your role models?
My parents, kind of cliché right? Well I really don’t care, because it’s the truth. My parents have always been role models to me, even after the devoiced. I mean, how many parents make a gaming company? They got me into gaming, and had been completely fine with the changing of my style. I want to follow in their footsteps, and one day I would like to take over the company.
What is with your hair? Why don’t you keep it one style?
It’s mostly just because I like to play around with my hair a lot. I like all of the different styles I’ve done to it, but I’m never happy with keeping it one style for too long. The longest I’ve had it was to my shoulder blades, and the shortest would be just like a regular hair style, with it normally short for a guy. I would like to grow my hair out again, so that may happen soon.
What are some of your likes and dislikes?
Some of my likes are:
Filming, Video games, Technology, Apple products, Music, smoking, beer, youtube, cartoons, anime, tabletop games, my cat, my dog, hair dye, hair spray
Some of my dislikes are:
The word ‘moist’, closed mindedness, when there’s no toilet paper left in the bathroom when you actually need it, breaking anything that I did not mean to break, batteries, wires, animal traps, cages, throwing up, cleaning any type of puke, having my picture taken
Why are you majoring in Video game design? And why did you major in Film and Media?
I am now majoring in video game design because I want to create my own video games. There are too many games out now that don’t have uniqueness to them, because they are too based off something else. Or gaming companies are just trying to fight a never ending war between each other. Each wanting to make a game that’s better, yet still the same as another company’s.
I majored in film and Media just because I love films, and would also like to direct, and be a producer of a movie or two. This is a dream of mine that might not happen, but I’m not going to give up on it.
You look like you should be a member in a heavy metal band.
I know this isn’t a question, but I’m going to respond to it anyway.
I actually was in a heavymetal band when I was in high school. I loved it, and I have the voice for it, deep and sexy. I like the style of heavy metal bands, I like the music. A lot of heavy metal bands have inspired, and helped me through middle, and high school. I actually grew up with heavy metal, because my father loved it. So yes, I wear leather, vests, tight jeans, and I sometimes have really long hair that I dye black, as well as I have a tattoo sleeve on my left arm, and some random tattoos on my other arm, and a few piercings. Want to stereotype me? Go ahead, I couldn’t care less.
Are you an Atheist?
No I am not, I believe in Buddhism, and a higher power.
What’s your worst trait?
I would say my temper is my worst trait. I get mad easily, and when that happens I get just go straight to being pissed off. Its one thing I’m trying to work on, I know it’s not healthy for me to get so easily mad, and then start cussing up a storm because of it. It just happens. It’s not because I’m moody, I’m fairly chilled and relaxed, that’s pretty much my main mood, I just have a really bad temper. So, don’t fuck with me.
