George sat on one of the comfy chairs in the main common room of her dormitory, playing Pokemon X on her Nintendo DS. The rest of her dorm mates were off doing God knows what, she didn't exactly care. She smiled as she caught yet another Pokemon that was sent of to a PC box. It was a feline Pokemon, very cat-like. She made her character wander around a bit when she heard a "Meow". She furrowed her brow, but let it slide, taking it as a glitch that made the Pokemon noise again for some reason. Her character took a few more steps, and -"Meow."

"Alright, for Pete's sake, who is meowin- Awh!" She pulled her DS away from her face and her eyes made contact with a very cute multi-coloured cat that had wandered into the dorm. She put her gaming device down on a nearby table and went over to the creature and bent down next to it. She scratched behind the cat's ear and smiled, "Aren't you adorable?" As she was petting the animal, however, a thought came to mind. What was a cat doing inside the Hammel Institute? If she recalled correctly, only small animals were allowed as pets, and a cat wasn't one of them. She swiftly stood up and took a few steps back. Maybe... maybe it was a remote control bomb!

...

...Or it could've been a shape-shifting resident. She couldn't think of any other reasons for the feline to be there, so she went with the shape-shifter idea, "OK, whoever you are, I get it. Come on, be a human now, or something." She smirked and folded her arms, she had this person sussed. Hopefully. There was a small doubt in her mind that she might've just told an ordinary cat to become human, when obviously, it can't speak English, but she waited for a reaction all the same.

Another pleasant if slightly boring Sunday.. Sure, there were people watching football all over but Kit wanted to do something. She could have probably found a prayer group but.. seriously. She'd have rather watched football. She could go for a run but by now she knew every inch of Hammel and the track was boring. Doing some parkour was a valid option as well, but it was pretty friggin cold outside.. so it only made sense to look for someone new to mess with. As Kit was walking down the hallway, though, she heard the faint sounds of the new pokemon game being played... She hadn't seen it yet and didn't own a DS herself, so that was a something that might be interesting. Yeah, why not!

She'd eased open the door to the common room of dorm 212, shrunk down to a medium-size golden-eyed calico cat (clickable) and pushed the door open. The girl playing the game hadn't noticed her at all. Win. Kitty-shaped Kit pushed the door closed with her shoulder and walked calmly over to lay on her side in front of the gamer girl, letting out a soft meow to get her attention.

The girl seemed to think it was her game making cat noises, so Kit smiled a kitty smile and meowed again a bit louder. This time the girl seemed to realize it wasn't her game and reacted as everyone should react to cats.. with surprise, praise, and pets. Epic win. Kit fought the urge to nod as the girl called her adorable, then blinked and tilted her head when she backed away looking a little panicked for no reason...

Shortly after, though, the girl called Kit out on being.. not a cat. How disappointing. But that didn't mean she couldn't still have fun. Instead of shifting back to a humanoid form, Kit just stood up and shook her head, telling the girl 'no'. Why? Cause she liked being a kitty. It was awesome and people were warm and loving and stuff.. why would a person not be a kitty when they could just as easily be a kitty?

As George continued to stand, Kit ran past her, hopped up onto the table, and nosed at her Gameboy, staring back at the girl again as she sat and her tail lazily rested half on the table and half on the arm of the couch. She wanted the girl to show her the new game, apparently, and wasn't going to stop being a kitty for it. Moving stuff was awesome as a cat. Videogames had lots of moving stuff! Also noises.. and people to sit on while watching them play.

So if George did sit back down to resume her game, Kit would hop on the back of the couch, then curl up against the girl's neck with her head resting on her right shoulder to get a good view of both screens and see what this game was all about.

Even though George had developed the theory of the cat being a shape-shifter, it still took her by surprise when the creature stood and shook it's head. "Well... ok then." The whole situation seemed a little creepy, but then again, Hammel was generally strange place, so she decided to roll with it. She watched the creature run past her and onto the coffee table.

It made her smile quite widely and laugh a little when the feline nudged her DS, which was still chanting out music from the game. "You like video games, then? Alright. I don't mind you watching, if that's what you mean." It was definitely a different experience, talking to a cat, but she kind of liked it. It almost made her feel like the girl from the Golden Compass, who had a soul animal that followed her around and communticated with her.

George went back over to the sofa and got comfortable again, and the cat seemed to followed suit, jumping up behind her and coming to rest near her shoulder. She smiled again, it was just... gah! Too adorable! She unpaused the game and began to move around. "I'm guessing you know about Pokemon, then?" She turned her head and looked at the calico for a moment, scratched behind her ear again and got on with the game. She ran into some tall grass and ended up in a battle; her Chespin (who she had renamed "Jack", after Mr. McCarthy himself) against a wild Bunnelby. Bunnelbys were pretty weak, so it didn't take long for her to defeat it. She looked at the cat on her shoulder again, "If you want to help or anything, you can try to signal what you want me to do. I don't really mind." George was actually really enjoying the company of the feline, the warmth was comforting and she needed a friend at the moment, even if she wasn't showing it so far. She'd been feeling a little... ignored as of late. Loads of her friends had been busy revising or writing essays, and Jack just seemed oblivious of her most of the time. It wasn't the best situation to be in.

Kit had nodded silently when George asked if she knew about pokemon. She knew about it, was curious about the newest game, but she didn't play very often. Kit was more of a console gamer than a handheld gamer... Nothing against them, she just generally preferred to be doing things if she was out and about.. and that's when she figured she would use a handheld gaming device. So despite the fact that she could talk her parents into buying almost anything she wanted, Kit didn't have any portable gaming things. Unless one counted a phone. She had a phone. Who didn't?

When Georgina mentioned Kit helping, the cat actually chuckled slightly and shook her head back and forth. She knew about the game like everyone knew about pokemon.. was curious about it like anyone would be.. She didn't play it and.. didn't have anything to add for someone who did. She also wasn't particularly likely to develop any new and crazy winning strategies. This was partially because Kit was more the hack and slash or shooter type game, and partially because she really had no pokemon game-playing experience. Turn-based strategy was okay to watch for a bit, but it wasn't something Kit was gonna devote a ton of time to on her own.

For company, though, Kit was more than good. She was cuddled up tight basically around George's shoulders. Maybe that wasn't super intimate for a cat, but not many people rested on or even touched a person's neck and shoulders without being reasonably close to that person. Necks and shoulders were sensitive and vulnerable areas. One of the positives of being a kitty instead of a person.

Still, after a while of watching the girl play, Kit did start to wish there was some dialogue. Eventually she would ease up from George's shoulders and hop down onto the cushions, flopping on her side. The next thing the girl would know, there would be a head on her lap. Nothing as small as a kitty's head, but not a human head either. The head on George's lap had short spiky hair that matched the colors of the calico that had been resting on her shoulder earlier. It also had very similar ears, even if they were much, much larger. The eyes in the head were the same as the cat's as well, and the person attached to it had a tail and fur and everything that a cat would.. except that she was a four foot two inch tall person.. staring up at George with a grin.

She raised an arm and waved up at the girl. "Kitrana Railen Moore. You can call me Kit or Rai or whatever you want, really. Nice to meet you. People that are nice to kitties are cool. Especially when they know I'm not actually a kitty. Instantly. Not many people figure me out that fast.. though I suppose showing up in your dorm was a bit of a giveaway. I heard pokemusic and I got curious. I've never seen the newest one before. Your 'Jack' seems pretty boss..."

George continued to play as before. She was pretty experienced, since she had been playing a variety of games on lots of different devices for a very long time. If there was a new console out, or an improved gaming laptop, she'd usually get it for her birthday (which she was very much looking forward to), or for Christmas, which seemed to be only just around the corner too. She was very techy in the sense of being a gamer. She really enjoyed handheld devices, because of their portability and simplicity to use, but the computer and console games usually held more depth and meaning, and were a lot more immersive; gaming in anyway meant a good time for George!

It made her giggle when the cat shook her head, it was still a bizarre situation to get to grips on. The fact that behind the appearance and all, there was a person there, watching and understanding everything she did. She was coming to terms with it slowly, and she found it kinda awesome.

She felt the soft fur coiled around her neck and it was like heaven! She didn't usually get touched in the neck (it wasn't exactly a regular occurrence for anyone!) but she really didn't mind the feline being there. It was like wearing an extremely plush scarf, that was alive. She could feel the rise and fall of the cat's body as she breathed, and it was a very relaxing state to be in. She felt like falling asleep when she felt the animal move. She ignored it, took it that she was just trying to get more comfortable, until she felt the warmth in her lap.

"AA!" She almost threw her DS across the room from the shock of the sight, "-ah. O-K, it's just you. Sorry, Kit, was it? Its just, you were a cat... and now you're a... I didn't know you could stay in-between." She looked the girl up and down. It was definitely a new sight. "I mean, no offense at all, you look awesome, its just-" she caught herself before she went too far and accidently insulted the girl, "Sorry, rambling."

She scratched the back of her neck. "Anyway, you said about Jack?" She smirked cheekily in reply, "I'd have to agree. He's pretty damn awesome." She liked the sound of what Kit had said though: 'Your Jack.' It made her smile a little softer for a moment.

...yeah, she wished.

She covered up her slight depression with a smile, "So, a literal cat-woman? Makes you pretty amazing in my books." She winked and looked down at the girl. It was really amazing, "Oh, sorry, my manners! Georgina Speer, but please," she leaned in a little closer, "Call me anything but Georgina..." she sat up straight again, "Most people call me George, so you can too, if you'd like."

XD Surprised people were so entertaining.. If only they knew how truly morbidly entertaining they were.. It was like watching a mental train wreck. Horrible, something one should never laugh about or enjoy, but all the same it was just so freakin enrapturing that one couldn't take their eyes away... This was George as she nearly threw her Gameboy across the room.

Kit simply tilted her head to the side and continued to stare up at the girl as she rambled, then stopped, then apologized for rambling.. then started talking about Jack.. then got a look that said 'Jack' was more than just a pokemon character.... then completely changed the subject. Boy problems. Well, at least this might be interesting.

"I believe, Gina, that I will switch randomly back and forth between George and Gina to keep you on your toes unless I recieve specific instuctions to the contrary. I like Gina. Very feminine name. Kinda catty. Like a cat's name. Short, simple, strong enunciation." She nodded and grinned.

"Anyway, to sum that all up.." She seemed to count out something on her fingers and stare around the room for a moment, then looked back to George. "Yes it's just me, Kit is fine, I am a cat, a person, and in-between, hehe, I know I look awesome (you don't look half bad yourself), and stop apologizing. You're cute when you ramble."

She tilted her head back the other way, continuing. "I can't help but think you're talking about a very different 'Jack' than the one made of pixels on the screen, yep - literal cat woman, yep, pretty amazing, and it is my pleasure to meet you, Gina." She paused, counting things up again as her tail twitched idly across her stomach..

"I think that was everything.. Now, the important bits. Who is the real Jack, why's he got you down, and why don't you just bat for the other team? All the cute girls are straight. It's no fair. Seriously, at least play metaphorical co-ed ball. Way more choices and opportunities."

...Kitrana could be a very forward and blunt kitty, apparently.

George shrugged her shoulders, "Either's fine, I just think the name Georgina sounds a bit... pompous, y'know?" Ah, her English vocabulary was breaking through. Didn't she just sound like one of the Queen's corgis? If they could speak English... ah, details, details! and anyway, there was probably another shapeshifter around here who could shift into a corgi, then her point could be proved.

She listened to the cat woman talk and took in all of the random compliments at first with a smile, then a giggle. And she'd obviously caught on to George about Jack, making her blush a little by the thought. Her final comments caught her off guard a little, and she coughed awkwardly at them. "Uh, um, first of all, thank, I think, and secondly, Jack is, um, the name of the guy that I like. But he's kind of hung up on a girl he liked who is getting married to someone else... yeah, it's complicated."

"As for... 'batting for the other team', to put it as you did, I've never given it much thought. I-I haven't even had a boyfriend -or girlfriend- yet, not had my first kiss, nothing. I guess some girls are pretty good looking in my eyes, b-but... I don't know." She scratched the back of her neck again and put her DS down.

"Also, I haven't had the opportunity, because, like I said, no 'experience', as such." She smirked awkwardly and fiddled with the charm bracelet on her wrist. Her mum had given it to her when she was 10, and she'd never taken it off since (except for showers and swimming, don't want it to rust). Now, whenever she got too nervous, she fiddled with it, because it gave her the comfort that her mother used to when she was able to talk to her everyday. She could do that now, talk to her everyday, if she didn't mind bringing up her phone bill by a few thousand dollars.

Kit raised an eyebrow at Jack's situation, then her look turned devious and stayed that way as Gina continued. This could be fun. "Weeeell, Miss, George.. If you didn't look so nervous I could just about guarantee that I could get you some 'experience'. It's nice sometimes to run into girls who are still innocent.. They haven't been taught the wrong way to do everything yet. Oh, the things I could teach you... But there's a problem."

She reached up and ran a finger across the charm bracelet. "That is what we call typical nervous behavior.. and given that I can be a bit of a force of personality, I couldn't allow myself to teach you anything while you're all nervous and awkward. I mean, don't get me wrong.. I little awkward is cute. But awkward nervousness generally means discomfort, and things that aren't comfortable are definitely in the intermediate and advanced lessons." Hehehe.

"Besides.. I'm sure it's totally rude to waltz into someone else's dorm as a cat, watch them play videogames for a few minutes, then talk them straight into being into girls when they weren't that way to begin with. You didn't come to me, I came to you. No invitations or anything.. And despite this being twenty-thirteen, some parents aren't cool with things and some people are.. 'traditional'. Blah blah, you can stop fidgeting, I'm not going to jump you.. At this point, not even if you ask nicely. Nope, now that you're all nervous you'd have to make a pretty convincing case if you wanted me to help you out on that front at all."

Somehow Kit had walked into this room bored, and was now reverse-psychology-ing this poor girl into possibly asking for makeout and private-time lessons. How exactly this had happened was anyone's guess, but damn if it wasn't horribly entertaining and.. exactly what Kit had been looking for in 'something to do'. She hadn't even know what she'd been looking for, and here it was blushing and fidgeting.. And thus far she hadn't even pulled any guilt or pity cards. This whole situation was as close to perfect as possible.. Even if nothing came out of it, it was just fantastically entertaining.

George felt like she wanted to interrupt the girl multiple time, but she just kept talking and talking, so all George could do was sit there and it take it all in. If she was anyone member of her family, she would've interrupted after the first sentence, because that's just how they were: opinionated, and wanting to be correct. She was like that too, however she had taught herself to not do it so much, because she had learnt how annoying it could be thanks to the experience from her family, and she didn't want to make anyone else feel annoyed like that.

She tensed ever-so-slightly when Rai moved her hand towards the bracelet, and continued to listen. Kit was being very... cheeky, for lack of a better word. George was usually pretty outgoing and confident about herself and those around her, but Rai Haddon managed to waltz in and get in her personal space before even mutter so much as a 'hello', unless mewing counted. As soon as she had become even remotely humanoid, George was uncomfortable. Talking to her -well, listening to her at this rate- was helping, and George was slowly relaxing into having the girl in her company.

She slumped her body dramatically as if a huge weight had been lifted off of her shoulders when Kit said she wouldn't jump her. She was coming back into her own, acting sarcastic even if she had formed words thus far. When the time came, she thought for a second, then opened her mouth, "You're right." She smirked. "To do anything with you, even continue this conversation, I would need a good reason." She leaned her head down and sideways a bit, so she was right in Rai's ear, "It's a shame really, since I can't think of anything." She lingered for a moment, then sat up quickly, shrugging her shoulders, "Oh well. My loss then." She raised her eyebrows and minorly let go off her pride and confidence, sighing, "But, I do like being around you, so if you wouldn't mind..." she acted all defeated and sad, "...I would really like it..." She stretched a little and looked down at the girl, "...if you could teach me your ways." She made a little bow, with her hands together in front of her, and bent forwards slightly, opening her eyes to look into Kit's, "Sensei." She smirked a little, trying to regain her usually 'coolness'. This could turn out to be a VERY interesting evening.

Huh. Huh. That was far, far too easy. Usually it was ten minutes of talking and tossing around innuendos and being sexy before anything even became a possibility... Either this was a situation of a player playing while being played, or this chick was seriously deprived. Either worked.. but the curiosity was overwhelming. Because people just didn't.. react this way.

So Kit tilted her head and stared up at George with an eyebrow raised. "That was way, way too easy. Scripted reality show easy.. so I gotta warn you up front that I'm not signing any waivers for my image to be released. Dad's way too rich for that stuff, blah blah. Anyway.." She would reach out and gently take George's arm, guiding it down to Kit could get a good look at her hand... She would feel out the girl's hand (as hands were some pretty useful things) bending her fingers at the joints and sizing it up against her own and massaging and tickling her palm a bit.. She would then do the same to the girl's other hand.. then look back up with a small nod. "Aight, stick out your tongue."

If George complied, Kit would grin. "Congrats, you possess everything required to make a girl happy." Kit would then sit up, fold her feet under her, and jump back toward the girl, landing straddling George's lap.. She was very, very close. There was quite a bit of contact not only at their legs, but also tummy to tummy, chest to chest. Kit was now and had been judging Gina's reaction to all the contact. Obviously contact was a part of physical not-pg-rated stuffs.. if the girl couldn't handle contact, obviously she wasn't ready for contact sans clothing.
