He couldn't stop himself from running across the hall to get to the cafeteria but once he was there, he had to catch his breath and lean against the wall opposite the cafeteria entrance.

Reece fiddled with his phone but didn't check it for any new messages. If it had vibrated, he didn't feel it. He was actually pretty anxious to see Olivia after not seeing her for awhile. Especially with this new information that she had brothers? Dangerous times.

He was going to try and be as casual about this as possible. Nobody needed to know there was anything going on between the two. Especially not older brothers. Nothing was there anyway. Yep. Nothing.

Turning left and then right, he looked out for the already familiar head of dark brown hair.

Liv could count the times that she'd worn a dress on one hand that wasn't brought on by her mother or a holiday party or gala. It was twice, once at Reece's party, and today. There seemed to be a common denominator between the two that she didn't want to admit. To be fair, she needed to do laundry, and she didn't like her clothes anymore, and she was bored, and she could probably come up with about a thousand excuses all that didn't rhyme with peace slorgan. 

She felt like an idiot as she pulled down the hem of her dress. She was too tall for this dress, even with the tights she felt absolutely naked and uncomfortable and out of her element and this was so fucking stupid she was going to the CAFETERIA! For God's sakes this meant nothing and it wasn't anyplace special just inside the school around classmates. 

As she got closer her heart started to race, she could feel her stomach flipping inside of her and she suddenly felt like she had to pee even though she'd peed twice before leaving. What the hell was this boy doing to her? She should turn back, avoiding him was the best option. If she didn't see him he didn't exist and if he didn't exist he couldn't distract her or even worse... hurt her. That was what she was afraid of most because after all what the hell would he be doing with her anyway? He was Reece and a player or whatever and Liv was... Liv.. queen of the friendzone. She should turn back.

"Hey!" Her mouth said before her brain could react when she saw Reece standing there, where he was supposed to. Great now she was committed.

Seeing Olivia approaching him, there was nothing in the world that could have stopped his smile. He didn't even realise the smile he had was so big until he tried to speak.

"Hey!" He responded as he took her in. This was the second time he had seen her in a dress. On the one hand, anything that showed off her legs were pretty okay by him. But on the other, her being in a dress was damn distracting. He could see curves he never realised were there and it showed off her legs. Her long...slender legs.

He suddenly felt drastically under dressed.

"You look nice."

"Laundry day." Liv insisted without missing a beat realizing just how stupid she probably looked all dressed up like an asshole in the school cafeteria. She was regretting this decision, she should have stuck with her uniform of jeans and a t-shirt. "Yeah, I'm out of like everything." She added as she raked her hair through her curls uncomfortably. 

Reece looked nice. He always looked nice. He had that cool effortless style that she'd always been so drawn to. His smile didn't hurt either. God, that smile, it did something to her, it made her heart feel like it was on fire and made the rest of her desire things she'd never wanted before and was still too shy to admit. 

"It's been a while." That was her fault. She knew that much. "Sorry I've been MIA."

Her response made him chuckle involuntarily. It had been completely unnecessary but if it helped the girl in any way, who was he to judge it's necessity? Her next response however made him bite down his tongue. But being Reece, he had to continue with his train of thought. "If you wanted to let me know you weren't wearing underwear, you could have just said so."

Olivia's apology made his smile soften and he shrugged, pushing himself off the wall and approaching her. He stopped in his tracks when a couple of freshmen walked over, giggling and looking at him. His first thought was that they were trying to catch his attention, but when they looked at Olivia and then back at him, he pretended he wasn't approaching her until they were far gone.

Gossip travelled fast within these four walls. He didn't need anybody else knowing he was meeting Olivia out of his own volition. It was no reflection on her at all, more to do with the fact that he didn't actually want her to get the flack. Yep, he was noble.

"It's cool. Let's get into the cafeteria. I'm starving. Hey, did you bring your homework?"

"Mind always in the gutter isn't it Morgan?" She asked raising a brow in response to his comment. "And for your information my laundry day underwear is quite cute." She added immediately regretting it when the freshman girls walked by giggling and obviously talking about her and Reece. Her face flushed red. They were talking about them, it was obvious and uncalled for. This whole thing was just two friends hanging out and maybe studying but probably not considering. "No I actually didn't." Her eyes trailed back to him from the gaggle of girls. 

"I figured there is nothing you can teach me I don't already know. I'm trying to go from an A- to an A not an F to a D or whatever you're pulling in." She smirked "We already know that you're the looks and I'm the brains. That's our relationship." Relationship.... she probably shouldn't have used that word. Funny considering English was the subject she was struggling with.

"Permanent address, Baker." The paper manipulator tapped the side of his head and winked at her exaggeratedly. Hey, just because he felt awkward around her, didn't mean he had to be awkward. He could definitely mask it under layers upon layers of innuendos and sarcasm. And he will.

"Oh haha thanks. Hey, I've maintained a 3.8 GPA since I got here, okay? The only reason I'm not graduating early is because of training. Which is stupid anyway because my power is stupid. Unless underwear companies made their underwear with paper, I've got nothing to use my abilities on." He grumbled before raising his eyebrow at her choice of words. "Excuse me...? Relationship? We're in a relationship? Hell, Olivia. Why am I the last person to know these things?"

"You're such a perve. Always talking about ladies underwear and you know what Morgan I'm starting to think you're more talk than walk." She challenged, though in reality she was sure it wasn't the case and that thought stung. Reece was a player, this whole thing, them being there now was probably just a phase he was going through and he was likely to move on sooner rather than later and with Lucy no doubt given the display that happened in her dorm not too long ago. Of course, he argued otherwise, insisting it was nothing. Still, she wasn't so sure about that. 

"Your teachers are easy on you." she insisted, hearing his GPA was actually unsettling given the fact he was in her class. She needed to graduate first. There was no other option if she wanted to survive the Baker household after she graduated. NYU was a given, she'd go there, she'd get in, it was guarantied given her parents status within the University. Graduating at the top of her class wasn't, and it was another Baker requirement. 

Her cheeks seemed to be in a constant flushed state. "Ha. Ha. Ha." She exaggerated, playfully hitting him in the arm with a decent amount of force. "Don't get your hopes up Reece. I'm immune to your charm and stupid face."

"Oh Baker...you underestimate me." Reece retorted lazily, even though she wasn't that far from the truth. Ah denial, you are a friend to the desperate. How could he retain his reputation without losing this girl, he didn't know. But he wasn't about to lose something he thought he had for something he knew he didn't.

"Screw you." He chuckled. "Jealous much?" Raising a smug eyebrow, Reece placed a hand against the small of her back and moved them in the direction of the cafeteria.

When hit, Reece didn't have to fake the yelp as he was more than surprised to find that Olivia had put some strength behind the hit. "Jesus Christ, woman!" He yelped out, though he didn't rub his arm to ease the pain. Not that there was much of it. It was more out of surprise than anything else.

"Oh please, you love my stupid face or you wouldn't have come." He shrugged, bumping against her playfully before running through the cafeteria entrance. "My God, the smell aaah food."

She rolled her eyes. "Jealous of you? As if." She chuckled but the lump grew in her chest at how much competition she really had in her class. "I just need to graduate at the top of my parents will seriously kill me." Liv sighed "They're crazy about that... actually... they're nuts about a lot of things." She admitted.

The smile returned to her face when he yipped out when she hit him. She forgot how strong she was and loved surprising people... not that she planned on beating many people up... Reece was an exception. Reece she sometimes wanted to beat the shit out of. 

"Think what you want Morgan." She said as her stomach chimed in growling. She hadn't realized how hungry she was especially considering she'd eaten not long ago with her brother... of course Tristan made Liv so nervous she ended up picking at her food more than actually eating it. 

As they entered Liv couldn't help but notice the eyes that fled to them... was this really so weird? "I feel like we're in some weird science fiction movie and everyones going to turn into flesh eating zombies at any moment."

"See if you weren't jealous, you'd accept my offer to help but all right. If you insist." He shrugged, holding his hands up in surrender. When she shared a little about her parents, Reece gave a small quiet laughter and a smirk. He would have argued that at least they cared enough to push her to the top.

"Oh my God, you're such an asshole." He said through his laughter when he saw her smile. He shook his head affectionately before joining the line to the food. Not too aware of the staring, Reece raised an eyebrow at Olivia's seemingly random sentence, until he turned to look. The gazes were sporadic but yeah, everyone was turning to look. "The hell are their problems though?" He asked as he took his food and looked around for an empty table.

Finding one, he made a beeline to it without waiting for Olivia. Waving her over, he tried to ignore the staring, even though it was making him just a little uncomfortable.
