You never really realize how much you use one of your hands until its practically taken away and you have to do without. And Gryph hated it - no dancing, no photography, internet browsing is laborious and difficult; it took him forever to type his apology message on his photography blog. In simple terms, this sucked, big time.
And Gryphon had to entertain himself, somehow. I mean, he had homework, and it wasn't like he couldn't do it - being ambidextrous and all - but homework was homework, and he wanted to have fun, not drive himself to jump off a cliff.
The winged boy sat cross-legged on his bed in his pyjamas, a loose top and track pants, the top with rather large holes in the back to account for his eagle wings, which were semi-open behind him, and occasionallly flapped gently. He huffed and looked at his hands, and then glanced around the room. Mmm... blankets, chairs, a considerable amount of room... eh, what the heck! He clambered off the mattress and got to work.
A semi-long amount of time and a lot of struggling later and he was sat smiling in a blanket fort. How long had it been since he'd made one of these? He had absolutely no idea. But he sat inside it, smirking. It was kind of amateur and a bit rickety in places, but that was expected - he was disabled. But this would rapidly get boring, he needed company. And company made him think of Kodi. Mmm... maybe they'd get to actually talk for once or something... probably not. But he still wanted Kodi, so he scrambled out and found his phone.

heeeeey! hope u rnt busy, plz come to my roooooom! x
He pressed send and put his phone on his crossed leg, wrapping his wings in front of him and looking at them. Blanket forts were fun, Kodi would like it. Or something.
