With a soft thud, Salem fell face first into his bed. Had it been a rough day? Not really, just long and tiring. Mostly due to the fact that he kept loosing focus, on top of forgetting his glasses in his room. Luckily however he had gotten over his headache somewhere around lunch. Now it was late in the day, yet not so late that he couldn't go outside if he wanted. As he felt himself sort of drifting into one of his illusions, he jumped off the bed. "Not now..." He grumbled. Grabbing his guitar, the boy practically ran through the school, only slowing down when he made it outside.
Looking around he noticed that some of the students were still sort of lingering, but that didn't really phase him. Staying quiet he slipped past the few people in the courtyard and slipped through some bushes, taking a little short cut to the pond. He enjoyed it there, it was calm and the koi fish were always fun to watch. With his guitar, which of course once belonged to Aiden, he set in the grass near the water. Not to close in case of mud, but just close enough to see the fish.
Setting his guitar aside for a moment, Salem looked up at the sky and ran a hand through his hair. It was a nice day to be outside, a little chilly, but nice. Reaching in his pocket and pulling his hand back out, he produced a pack of cigarettes and a old, rusty, flip-top lighter. Fumbling with the small package a moment Salem grunted and finally used his teeth to rip the paper and plastic away. He pressed his reward between his lips and sparked the lighter. Taking a drag, he glanced down at his guitar and picked it back up.
Salem shifted his position, so his legs were crossed and his back was somewhat straight. Once again his eyes drifted out to the pond, and to the fish. His brain had started to shift in thought, to something of a monster of some kind, dragging itself from the pond. The young man shook his head quickly and the thought went away. Not enough to make him feel comfortable however. With that he looked back out at the fish. "Well, looks like you guys and gals get a free show." He smirked.
"Good thing I don't mind." Closing his eyes he put his fingers and hands in the right position and started to play a song from a movie he enjoyed. The slow rhythm relaxing him.
