Something in the Air You Can't Deny

This drinking thing. It was good. Fun. Dani needed to do it more often. Even if her head was fuzzy, she was still having a blast. Especially with this girl. “I like you.” She said, almost randomly as they made their way back to Sawyer’s dormitory. She hadn’t the slightest idea as to what time it was. Late. It was late. That’s all she knew.

They had to strike the DJ set up when the event ended. They meaning Sawyer had to and Dani insisted on helping. The electrokinetic was a pro at breaking equipment down in minimal time, and as much fun as the dance had been, Dani was ready to leave. So she helped.

And now they were here; just now reaching the voice mimic’s room, and Dani was telling Sawyer that she liked her. “You’re—you’re really cool. Like the girl with beautiful ears. ‘Cept it’s all of you, not just your ears.” Dani had completely forgot to mention the reference that her statement was referring to, but she simply grinned over at Sawyer as they reached her door. “Here you are.” Even as much as she wanted to follow Sawyer inside, Dani refused to assume that she was allowed. She was drunk, but not rude.

Sawyer was used to packing things up on her own but she had to admit, having Dani there was hella fun. The girl knew what she was doing and they managed to skedaddle out of the center in record time. Which was great since the voice mimic was in a big hurry.

Dani's proclamation had Sawyer chuckling as she fumbled to find her keys in her jacket pocket. Mobility was a little tricky after about three small bottles of tequila. Briefly, she wondered why her roommates kept the door locked. It was unnecessary and difficult and Sawyer could just very well suffer from hypothermia trying to find her keys in her state!

The Electrokinetic's babbling was so damn cute that Sawyer couldn't help pulling her close, cupping her cheeks and giving her a sloppy kiss on the lips. "I don't know what you're talking about but keep talking, cuteness." Sawyer smirked before letting out a triumphant squeak when she found her keys.

And now to find which one actually fit into the hole. After several curses, key drops and loads of giggles, she finally managed to open the door stumbling inside with snorts and shushing.

Looking at Dani, Sawyer had no hesitations as she grabbed the other girl's hand and pulled her in, not-so-accidentally bumping into the shorter girl's front with a smile. "Hey,"

Had Sawyer known what Dani was referring to, she would have known it was a good compliment. Slightly strange, yes, but then again Dani herself was a pretty strange kid herself. Still, the voice mimic did seem to find something behind her words, and as Dani was pulled in for a kiss, the electrokinetic couldn't help but to grin into it, the taste and smell of alcohol on her the other girl not phasing the Asian.

Honestly, had Sawyer not told her to keep talking, Dani likely would have continued anyway. “And, you're like...really pretty. But not just pretty. But a Zelda level of pretty.” she let out another giggle, imagining this girl with pointed ears. Damn. You. Alcohol.

She tried to be helpful when Sawyer was fumbling with her keys; as they fell, Dani reached for them, her head connecting with the door as she bent down. “Augh!” The electokinetic brought a hand to her head, rubbing the spot. It hurt, yes, but due to her drunken state, Dani couldn't help but to start to giggle at the fact while she handed over Sawyer's keys.

When pulled, Dani stumbled inside. As a means to stable herself, the electrokinetic but a hand on Sawyer's hips, almost falling into her completely. It took a few moments to comprehend just how close she was to Sawyer, and the realization causing a smile to spread across Dani's lips. “Hey,” she repeated back. Waiting a moment, Dani focused on Sawyer's features, “I like you.” the words came across more genuinely than when she had said it earlier.

Sawyer couldn't help but stare at Dani a good long minute when she started laying on the compliments. A little smile kept tugging at the corner of her lips as she realised this was probably just how the girl was when she was drunk. She talked. A lot. Sawyer didn't want her to stop.

Wincing at the bump, a laugh escaped from her lips involuntarily. "I'm sorry, I'm not laughing at you." She continued laughing.

A small moment of utter lust overcame Sawyer when the girl repeated what she had said earlier. It didn't take long for the voice mimic to push the door closed and pull Dani in to close the gap between them.

Wasting no time, Sawyer pressed her lips against the Asian's, a little softer than before but with same amount of urgency. "Good," she breathed into the kiss with a smirk before continuing the kiss, circling her arms around the smaller meta's waist, pressing herself against the curve of the other girl's body.

Dani grinned when she heard the door close, her arms wrapping around the voice mimic's waist she felt Sawyer lean against her. Had she been sober, the electrokinetic might have started to realize what she was getting herself into. What it meant. However, her mind was fogged due to the tequila in her system.

For a girl who didn't normally drink, Dani had drank a lot. She was lucky not to be sick.

She grinned when she felt Sawyer's lips press to her own, and she immediately reciprocated, her fingers curling into the fabric of her dress as she pulled the other closer.

Sawyer quickly removed her jacket, sliding her hand to the back of the other girl's neck while the other hand pushed down the straps of Dani's dress. Slowly, she dragged one foot back, pulling the electrokinetic with her in the direction of what she hoped was her room door, with a few stumbles in her inebriated state. Laughing the stumbles off, she took her time kissing the other brunette on her lips, her cheeks, her jaw, her neck, pulling more and more of the dress off.

She paused at the door, letting the doorknob dig against her back as her fingers explored Dani's body. "You smell so damn good." Sawyer said in between kisses, one hand blindly groping the door behind her to open the door and in they stumbled. Sawyer instantaneously wrapped one arm around Dani so she was also pulled in.

One misstep was all it took for Sawyer to drop to the floor on her ass, pulling Dani down with her. "Oh God I'm so sorry." She apologised, laughing as she did so.

Dani tumbled as Sawyer led her to what she also assumed to be Sawyer’s dorm. Without the jacket in her way, the electrokinetic slid her hands down the exposed skin of Sawyer’s arms, giving them a light squeeze as she reciprocated the kiss given to her.

She pulled Sawyer closer, closing her eyes as she felt the array of kisses her counterpart left over her. She let out a nervous laugh as she felt the material of her dress shift. Even with the alcohol in her system to boost her confidence, she was nervous. She liked this girl. And she seemed to like Dani too.

It had been a while since she had done anything this intimate. Was she going to miss a step or do something wrong? Dani forced herself to take in a wavering breath. She just had to stop thinking.

Another laugh passed her lips as Sawyer stated she smelled nice, and she instinctively pressed her lips to the voice mimic’s temple. Yet before she could reply in any way, Dani suddenly felt herself being pulled downward. As she fell, the electrokinetic did her best to make sure she didn’t hurt Sawyer, but she still managed to land on her counterpart.

“It’s okay.” She mumbled, wincing slightly from the pain in her left elbow. She’d survive, but it still hurt. Yet as Sawyer began to laugh, Dani felt herself doing the same; it was enough to break her nerves.

The laughing lasted a few more seconds before Sawyer sobered up enough to realise that they were in the perfect position to basically do what she had in mind. That was, if Dani was up to it. Either way, she couldn't pass up the chance to kiss the fairer haired meta, slowly this time, just savouring the softness of the other girl's lips.

Slowly, Sawyer pushed Dani on to her back, massaging the back of the other girl's neck as her lips pressed against hers. Supporting herself by her right elbow, her free hand roamed down the electrokinetic's side, bunching up the hem of her dress to run her fingernails against her soft thigh.

"You feeling okay about this?" Sawyer asked between kisses.

Although intoxicated, the electrokinetic was still a little ball of awkward, so when she was asked if she was feeling okay, she wasn't quite sure how to respond. Of course she felt okay. The last time she had done anything of the sort had been with a girl five years her senior that had bailed for England not long after.

So needless to say that Dani was, although okay, completely nervous. Was this going to be a trend? What if it had been too long and she wasn't good? The alcohol did little to quell her anxiety.

Still, she reciprocated every kiss offered to her. “Yeah. Yeah yeah.” She nodded, letting out a laugh as she felt Sawyer push her onto her back. “It's fine.” Her eyebrows knitted together as she squeezed her eyes shut. “I don't mean fine like bad. Like. Actually fine. Good. Great.” The corner of her mouth twitched upwards as she let out a shaking breath, feeling Sawyer's wandering hands.

God, she was awful at this.

Sawyer nodded, humming her acknowledgement as she pulled Dani's dress up to her waist as the smaller girl continued to ramble on. A small smile appeared on the voice mimic and she ran a finger against the other girl's cheek.

"We can stop if you want. But...it'd be really nice if we didn't." She mumbled against Dani's skin. Even in her inebriated state, she was conscious of her partners. She may push but if her partner didn't show as much enthusiasm or looked uncomfortable, she knew when to stop.

That being said, she really didn't want to stop. The other girl felt amazing under her hands. Soft skin, soft lips, soft everything. Sawyer just wanted to explore every inch of her.

Dani seemed to be oblivious to the fact that Sawyer was, in a way, pushing her forward. “No!” She cut in a bit too quickly. “I don’t want to stop.” The electrokinetic wrapped her arms around Sawyer’s waist, fingers tracing along the material of her dress.

Dani took in a sharp breath as she felt the voice mimic push up her dress, biting down on her lip as she tried to calm her breathing. She was socially anxious yes, but nothing about her wanted to actually do something to halt this.

So she did the best thing she could to shut herself up; kiss Sawyer.

Sawyer's smile softened at the electrokinetic's insistent response. It was more than enough for her to continue with her ministrations. The kiss she received from Dani was enough for her to realise that she was definitely going all the way with this girl. The thought excited her in a way she didn't actually expect.

Boy was she glad she could still function even under the influence.

Returning the kiss, Sawyer helped the girl get out of her dress, dropping it a ways away from them, looking down at Dani's exposed body like it was a present she'd been waiting for. Her eyes travelled back up to meet Dani's and she smiled.

"Then we won't stop." She said before leaning down to kiss her

Running her fingers through her hair, Sawyer sighed in content as she turned to look at Dani. Leaning a little close, she pressed her lips against the girl's temple and lied back down on her side. She contemplated on leaving but she actually liked this girl. Beyond the sex, surprisingly enough. She couldn't say it out loud of course. How weird would that be?

Dani closed her eyes as she felt growingly familiar fingers run through her hair. Fortunately, she did so in time to miss the way Sawyer’s eyes traversed her form. It wasn’t that she didn’t enjoy the attention of the voice mimic, but being looked at so intensely always made Dani shift uncomfortably. Whether on stage on behind closed doors, the electrokinetic struggled being the center of someone’s focus.

Her own hand traveled along the line of Sawyer’s back idly, and as she had shifted to her side, Dani followed suit, facing the other, moving closer. She never humored the concept of Sawyer leaving; that wasn’t how these things worked, right?

At least not to Dani. Her hand settled on the small of the voice mimics back as she moved to draw her in closer.

Shivering slightly as the other girl ran her hand along her back, Sawyer accommodated her need to move closer. Things were heated, every touch was so completely electrifying, no pun intended. Sawyer had sobered up pretty quick and she was now realising that this was something she didn't usually do.

Staying...she never stayed.

"That was...fun." Sawyer chuckled lightly, her voice barely a whisper.

Her eyebrows furrowed together a moment, “Yeah, it was.” It was all the electrokinetic could think of to say. She barely knew how to respond to such a statement, because, yeah, it was fun but she was never great at conversations after such intimate acts.

She let out a light laugh as Sawyer did the same, lips pulling up into a small smile. She was completely oblivious to the voice mimic’s tendencies of leaving, and so she didn’t know to question why she might be staying, or if she had even wanted to do such.

“Should we move to the bed?” The floor was hardly comfortable; and now that the alcohol wasn’t as promenade in her system, the electrokinetic questioned why they never made it there at all.
