AU: What The Hell Happened To You?(Vampire AU, Xun)

Brooke looked down at the city below. A city filled with such torment. A city where the supernaturals were gathered for one reason or another. She could "see" where they were as she looked down from her usual viewing spot, settled atop a high-rise structure, at least 30 stories tall, where she got the one of the best views of the city. She shielded her eyes from the bright sun as she replaced the retro sunglasses over them, the wind blowing in from behind her causing her long brown hair to whip and whirl across her face.

She crossed her ankles and stretched her arms up to the blue sky, her short tank pulling up to reveal a very tight belly and button. Brooke released her arms and swung them down behind her, slipping her hands into the back pockets of her denim cut-offs.

Ahh....it was a good day.

Even with that cheeky guy trying to sneak up behind her. As if he could, she could smell him coming a mile away. "And what exactly brings you to see me, my dead, hunter?" Brooke twisted about her waist to peer at her guest, dipping her sunglasses down to meet their shared blue eyes. "Xun Jinsong. It's a pleasure." She smiled with thin, pink lips as a giggle bubbled up from behind them.

Find Brooke... Track them down... Find her...

Xun's neck throbbed where Junpei had bit him, but he ignored it as he ascended the staircase to find his informant, feeling woozy but otherwise alright.

Alright besides the fact that Junpei had imprinted on him, he was now an obedient slave, and he couldn't stop thinking about the vampire's lips against his skin, drinking deeply of his lifeblood and making Xun his own...

Stop it, he commanded himself as he reached the top level. Junpei would reward him later for following his orders, Xun knew he would. For now, he just had to make sure he carried those orders out successfully. And, fortunately, it seemed his first step was a success - his eyes caught onto that familiar thin form, and he quietly crept up behind her until Brooke turned around and greeted him.

Xun straightened, rubbing against the pierce marks on his neck as he came closer, not saying anything until he was right before her. "Brooke Llwelyn," he replied coolly, tilting his head slightly. "I need you for... Business." He made no effort to hide his wound as he sat next to her and gazed out over the city. "Do you know the dwelling place of the vampire formerly known as Kodiak Oubre?" he asked, all business. He was never one for idle chitchat, and being imprinted didn't change that.

Brooke didn't even have to look at him, she didn't even have to see the bite marks, to know that Xun had been imprinted. It was a curious development and one which she was going to tease him about for eternity….if he lived that long.

But Brooke didn't actually care about that. She was just an informant, she held no loyalties to any particular group, not the Order, not the covens, nobody. She was a 'lone wolf' so to speak…or more accurately, a lone cat.

"Hmmm…" she drew out the noise for effect. "You mean that young little thing and his new pet hunter? That was quiiiite a blunder on his part." Brooke smirked, peering at Xun coyly over her shoulder. "The hunter, not the vamp." Yes, she'd heard of what happened. And what a cascade of unfortunate events it had caused. Brooke was curious to see how the hunters got themselves out of this one. Would it be there downfall? Or would the hunters send in the cavalry before long and achieve victory? It was all so exciting, like watching a movie!

"He's got a dwelling place further on in the city. A real dump part of town, but hey, whatever works for him." Brooke slipped her fingers into the front pocket of her shorts and produced a small piece of paper. "This is the address, I'm sure you can find it from there." He held it out to Xun, but would snap it back out of his reach before he could take it. "Nah-uh. Quid pro quo, remember? Give me something I can use, and it's all yours, my little doll." She giggled, that knowing smile never once leaving her lips.

Xun was.... Neutral about his feelings for Brooke. He trusted her information; he didn't, however, trust that she might not sell him and other hunters out if she got a good enough deal. Still, nothing had happened so far, so he felt fairly secure seeking her out. He just usually tried to share as little information he could get away with... Which she somehow seemed to worm out of him no matter what he did.

"Those are the ones," he said monotonously, still staring out over the city. He felt anger that wasn't entirely his own flare up in his chest; Gryphon had betrayed the order, had left Junpei to perish. Of course he deserved to die. He shot Brooke a look as she peeked at him, his blue eyes seeming even more cold and icy than usual. "We're aware of the potential effects, we don't need to be told." The sooner they got rid of those two, the better.

Ahh, she did know where they were. He had thought as much. "Excellent," he replied, his iciness waning a tiny fraction as he reached forward to snag the piece of paper. Xun should have been quicker about it, though, because Brooke pulled it away before he could snatch it. The Chinese man's gaze smoldered dangerously. "I don't have time for your games," he said lowly. "Is your life a high enough bargain?" Her smile was irritating him; the imprint was affecting Xun even more than he realized. He needed that information, and he needed it now!

Xun was right to be somewhat cautious around the information broker. If you accidentally slipped her any information you didn't want her to know, she'd take it like a thief and sell it off to the highest bidder. But just the same, she didn't give it out for free either, so as long as nobody wanted it, it was as sacred as lawyer/client privilege. The other way to ensure her silence was to buy it with good ol' fashioned cash…or possibly by giving her more information than she gave you. And not just anything, it had to be something she was interested in knowing.

Xun here had quite a bit of that to bargain with, and he didn't even know it. His threat on her life was an empty one. She hadn't lived this long in this business by being a weakling that would bend at the slightest provocation.

"Temper temper," she teased, shaking her finger to and fro. "If you keep that up, pretty soon you'll be so far lost in his emotions that you still won't be free once it's reversed." Brooke bat her baby-blue eyes up at hunter-puppet. "Or do you like this bound life you've come to possess. Without a single shred of will." She leaned forward, daring to caress his pale cheek with the back of her manicured hands. Brooke tilted her head a slight, curious. "Or do you?"

Grrr... Xun was starting to wonder now if Brooke had been the best person to come to. She knew a lot, but he hated her prices. Money would have been easy. He had plenty with the hunters; but, she probably knew that, and knew it was as good as worthless to him. She wanted something that was worth something. And Xun didn't know what to offer.

The threat had come out suddenly, without much thought, and Xun let out a low growl, something he never would have done previous to the imprint. He was normally much, much better at keeping his temper. He pressed his fingers to his temples and closed his eyes briefly. Fight it...

"I'm fine," he hissed out, taking several deep breaths. "My mast- Junpei... He's so angry," Xun whispered. He could feel it with every throb in his veins. "I c-can't..." I can't escape from it. He looked up with a hint of desperation, even though he knew he likely wouldn't receive any sympathy from the girl. "I can't say no to him," he mumbled. "I w-ant him...." His voice caught in his throat at the admission; once Brooke's hand brushed his cheek, Xun caught it with his own, his anger replaced with a moment of terror. "I need... I need..." He swallowed hard, breath starting to come out in small pants. "I need to please him. P... Please help me." The sudden transformation was drastic - from a fierce, violent predator to a weak, desperately exposed animal, trembling under Brooke's touch.

Fine, he says. "You don't look fine," she pointed out. Antagonizing an imprinted hunter with an angry master probably wasn't the smartest of things to do, but Brooke was never one for subtlety. Brooke smiled, somewhat sympathetically, as Xun spoke of his master and his experience so far.

She barely flinched as he snatched her hand. He had a tight grip. Brooke licked her lips. "Do you like it? Do you hate it?" she asked, inching herself ever closer to the would-be demon in hunter's clothing. "What do you want? Not your master, not what your master wants you to want…but you?" She wanted to know. Just how deep did the mind control go?

She knew that the imprint could force you to do things you wouldn't normally do at a simple command. She knew it gave you an unnatural desire to be bitten by your master. That was to ensure the vampire that their doll was so infatuated that they couldn't even hope to go against their master. Like a crack addict and his dealer. They'd go to any lengths just to get their next hit. The imprint made it's victim addicted to their master's bite. It was dangerous, especially amongst younger nos, for they often didn't know how to control their own diets and ended up killing their pets before they managed to get a useful run from them. It'd be a pity if that turned out to be Xun's fate.

"I'm fine!" Xun insisted, teeth baring much like that of a vampire threatening with its fangs. He didn't even know what was his own anger anymore, and what was Junpei's. And he was losing the short burst of will to care.

Xun's eyes caught the movement across Brooke's lips, and he gazed at where her tongue had disappeared, his breath still shallow and uneven. "I..." He struggled to come up with an answer. "What do.... I want...?" It was like a foreign concept to the imprinted hunter. "I... I don't know," he whimpered. He looked away, before glancing back at Brooke's mouth. "... You...?"

Yes... Yes, that was good. Xun could have someone of his own. In an act completely against his normal behavior, the Chinese man used a burst of his enhanced speed and pushed Brooke back, pinning her to the solid surface beneath them. In the back of his mind, he knew this was a dangerous idea. But he wasn't exactly in his sane mind at the moment anyway. "D... Do you... W-want....?" Even as Xun held her, his expression and voice was filled with uncertainty. It would be easy for the girl to knock him back if she so chose.

Any other person would have flinched at the forceful insistence given by the hunter, shocked at how unlike himself he was behaving, almost like he was a monster himself. Instead, Brooke found it…amusing. Her smile didn't falter. "Sure you are, my little Micky Blue-Eyes." Another giggle escaped her lips.

She continued to watch him, study him. Despite her glib and nonchalant attitude, Brooke's observational skills were second to none. They had to be for her to maintain her little business. So she subtly tilted her head, lifted her shoulder, bat her eyes once or twice, and observed his responses. Now this was interesting, definitely not something she expected out of the imprinted. "Me?" she asked coyly.

Brooke saw it coming. She probably could've evaded it if she really wanted to. But the opportunity was just too enticing to pass up. And plus, she loved the feel of a forceful man who knew how to take what he wanted. Brooke casually lifted her hand and cupped it behind his neck. Her smile thinned out into something seductive. "An interesting proposition," she admitted. Brooke lifted herself up and gently met their lips in a brief kiss. "I'll accept this as your payment." Because really, how often did one get to taint a vampire's pet with the stench of a lycan?

Xun scowled at the nickname, but didn't say anything in response. He rubbed a hand against one of his eyes, wondering what the hell he was really getting himself into. He even wondered how long he was... Going to survive this whole mess. His Master would protect him, surely, but only if he succeeded in his orders...

This definitely was not following orders. Xun didn't know what this was. Rebellion? Desire that had been there for a while? He had no idea. He had to wonder if Junpei, even now, could tell what he was doing. But... He had to allow himself this. One small thing for his own sake (if it was even his own brain that was talking) before he finished his job.

Xun's eyes fluttered and he shivered as he felt Brooke's hand caress the back of his neck. "You... You want...?" he breathed, unable to finish his question as their lips met momentarily. A small moan escaped his lips, and Xun rested more heavily on the thin girl under him, wondering why he had never felt this sort of desire before. "That's a fair deal," he rasped, lowering his mouth to nibble on the woman's neck. Without much more hesitation, he began to undress, first himself, then the lycan, and proceeded to give the payment due....

Brooke stood tall and straight as she pulled up her cut-offs and buttoned them over her hips. That…was an experience and quite possible was more than enough payment for the information the hunter-doll requested. Brooke licked your lips then turned to the asian man, dipping her head so that her hair flowed down over her opposite shoulder. “Hmmhmmhmmhm….feel better?” she asked. Now that he got that out of his system, she wondered if anything in particular had changed in the vampire’s slave.

“The place is a bit far, but you should be able to get there before dark.” Her lips thinned into a coy smile. “That is, if you don’t want to ‘accidentally’ let them get away.” Bet his boss would be real happy about that. But it was true though, they probably only had tonight’s twilight as a window to catch the duo, they’d likely be long gone by the time the sun fully set. Brooke stepped on her toes back to the hunter and placed yet another kiss on his lips. “If you’re still alive when this is all over, you know where to fine me.” She sent him a wink and gave him a playful pinch on the rear. “Good luck.”

Xun had never felt so many conflicted feelings in his life. As he caught his breath, stuck in a fuzzy after-haze, his mind swirled with confusion.

Idiot! You're supposed to be helping Junpei, not sleeping with a woman!

No, this is alright, she'll give me the information I need now.

But at what cost? What would Junpei think? Would he care? Would there be punishment? Did he already know?

Shut up, shut up. It's too late now, it's been done.

Xun shook his foggy head and looked up, then began to work getting his own clothes back on, quickly covering himself once more while he tried to think of what to say. "I feel..." he breathed, staring at the ground. "... I feel attached to you now," he admitted lowly. Maybe that's what was tearing him - the need to please his master, versus this new, carnally created relationship. Xun had never had either before, and it was overwhelming.

His ears perked up and he looked towards Brooke as she gave him the information he needed. Once Xun had what he'd come for, he relaxed a little, feeling slight relief. "They won't get away," he promised in a low growl. No way. "We'll get them." He began to turn himself away when Brooke approached him again, and was surprised when she placed a kiss on his mouth. He drank it in, curving his hand over her hip before pulling away with lust still clear in his eyes. "I'll take that offer," he murmured, breath catching at the quick pinch. "Thank you." Before he could do anything more, Xun forced himself away, making a map in his mind where he needed to go. He had to focus on the task at hand, rather than his own selfish desires. For Junpei.

Brooke giggles, tracing her finger down the side of his face. “You’re a cutie,” she said with a wink. “I’m yours for the taking if you want it. But first…you have to please your master, right?” This was interesting. Brooke wondered just how attached he was. She wouldn’t mind having him stick around for a while, if the final encounter didn’t leave him dead. That would be a shame and she would mourn…for about five minutes. No point in wasting too many tears on the short-lived.

She blew him a kiss and sent a wave as Xun took of towards his destination. Then she turned back out to watch the city once again.
