General Appearance: Ace is the kind of guy who can out of a crowd even without needing to resort to any dramatic appearances, or being an exceptionally tall height. He exudes a sense of cockiness and confidence, usually with a devilish smirk on his face that can force someone to look at him. But aside from that remarkable "aura" around him, Ace is a slightly unremarkable guy. He's got a thick square jaw that from almost any angle can just make his face look fat, his hidden cheekbones don't really help the case though. His dark hair is usually cut short (close to bald) to almost military standards unless he feels like letting a small Mohawk grow. Really the only thing he has going for him is his mass of muscles, courtesy of basketball as well as maintaining his reputation of being the strongest guy in school. Ace also sports a tan that never really fades thanks to his skin tone, and deep brown eyes with splotches of green thrown in. He's 6'1 if anyone's counting, by the way.
As for clothing Ace often wears something casual, but showy. He prefers tight, but not too tight, shirts that show off his muscles and form fitting pants, unless wearing a pair of sweats. He wears a variety of colours that aren't particular to one style, but rather resembles most teenage boys' closet. This, he does in order to maintain some form of attraction to other people since his face isn't always the most pleasing. Blame it on the girls wanting more of a "bad boy" or, god forbid, an emo guy.
Personality: Ace is a pretty standard guy. He has friends, he goes to parties, he has a B average in school, he skips class perhaps a bit more than he should, and he gets mad just like everyone else. There isn't really anything about Ace that would stand out among the crowd when it came to his personality, except perhaps the fact his ego was about the size of the world. He considered himself almost, but not quite, God's gift to mankind. Or womankind. Or... Well Ace was flexible, really. He wasn't afraid to flirt with anyone who might be considered "out of his league" and often times he can come across as being a little cocky bastard. When not flirting with anything with a cute face, Ace is actually a fairly relaxed guy and enjoys just going around to beaches or anywhere really that a friend might suggest. He particularly enjoys salsa clubs but that is just because Latin dances are amazing.
All in all, Ace's heart is in the right place even if his head isn't. He can still feel bad when he flirts with a girl that had a boyfriend, though he's quick to point out that if their relationship was really so great then the girl would have mentioned him before now. The bad feeling doesn't last long though and usually Ace is back to playing the same sort of game with no lesson learned. Which probably doesn't help him seem like a good guy. But he's loyal to his friends and incredibly protective of anyone he holds close to him. Ace practices just treating his friends like siblings, which tends to work out better in the long run. He also has a rather goofy tone to most of the time. When he's not flirting, or "apologizing" to some boyfriend, or working out that is. He enjoys cracking jokes about anything and everything. From the sky being blue because everyone's sad, to stupid jokes like why did the chicken cross the road. ((Because KFC was hunting him.))
That being said... Ace might have a more mean streak when it comes to meta humans. It's not that he hates them, per say... He just harbors jealousy of metas about a mile wide. Ace grew up wanting to be a meta and ever since he found out that he had passed the age for discovering his power the dangerous jealousy has grown. It comes out whenever he sees a meta using their power, usually in some snide comment he can't really keep in or simply by having a tense body language. But if the meta in question isn't actually using their power, Ace tries to pretend that they are a normal human. It helps him to maintain friendships he may gain with the objects of his envy.Your VicesLikes:
-Working out
-Sports, well.. Mostly just basketball but he dabbles.
-The idea of being a latent meta
-Thick forests with towering trees, canopy's so thick you can't see the sky
-The salty taste of tears
-The smell of a mechanic shop.. He can't pin point exactly what smell it is in the shop he likes
-Girls. To the point of distraction
-Beer
-Instant Ramen. Delicious. Completely non-nutritious.
-Broccoli. Makes him feel like a giant. OMNOMNOM
Dislikes:
-English. The class not the language... Though he's not fond of the language either to be honest. "Boosy...? Boosey?"
-Not being a meta
-High School
-People who he can't tell what their gender is
-Flamboyantly gay people. They are scary. Flappin' their arms and stuff.
-Skinny girls. Ace is the type who thinks girls should be soft and cuddle-able. Skinny girls are painful.
-Bunnies.... They're weird... Too floppy.
-Emo guys. They... They should just be girls at that point
Strengths:
-Anything physical!
-Singing. He thinks. He's unsure because he hides this talent. The only one who has heard him sing is his reflection, and maybe the shower head but he doesn't like to talk about that.
-Drinking. Thankfully he can hold his own in just about any contest, though this is not something he can often exploit.
-anything sports related that requires movement. Or hand-eye coordination. In high school he thought basketball was the best but now he just loves them equally.
-Telling a convincing lie. The trick is to stick with your story and whenever possible- preplan.
-Getting the girl
-Cooking dinner, as long as it is delivery or take out then Ace can "cook" dinner like a boss
Weaknesses:
-Academics, after all if school was really meant to be conquered they'd make it easier right?
-Spelling. It's too hard to remember how to spell ANYTHING. Especially "restaraunt", no matter what he does there is always a red line under it on his computer. ((please note that is how he spells it))
-Understanding what people's true emotions are. "Why say 'fine' if you mean 'hell no'? Just be honest."
-Remaining modest. Hey. He knows he looks damn fine, why shouldn't he say so?
-Cute people in trouble. After all who can say no to a hot damsel crying?
Fears:
-To wake up one morning and realizing he's going to die soon and he's never found someone that GETS him
-Opening up to someone only to be told he's just being stupid
Secret: When Ace was four he jumped off the roof of his house in a cape.. He tells this story often, but neglects to tell people the embarrassing details.. 1 by four... He means he was twelve. 2 he was completely naked. 3 he thought he was going to be a meta. 4 the "roof" of his house was about 5 feet from the ground because it was a earth-shelter house.
Oh. And he may or may not be in love with Oliver. HINT: He is but he doesn't acknowledge it because it'll ruin the friendship.Family TiesFather: Alek Walker (52)
Mother: Jennifer Walker (49)
Siblings: Jenny Walker (11)
Any Other Important People:
-Oliver Barnes, best friend from high school.HistoryAce had your typical dream house family. His mom and dad were happily married, at least as far as he knew, and they had a quaint house near the outskirts of a town in Minnesota. Alek was a cop, and his mom was a teacher. So Ace grew up knowing the rules, and knowing how to spell. The only difference between his childhood and that of other children, to him, was that he grew up hearing bedtime stories about superheroes. The superheroes always had amazing powers, just like the meta-humans all around. Somewhere in his childhood mind it made a connection between superheroes and meta powers.
When he finally got to school he was more prepared than a lot of peers, and while that would usually make people hate the kid who was smarter Ace seemed to be an obvious exception to the rule. He learned to make friends quickly and spent much of his early school years watching as some of the barely pubescent kids disappeared without so much of a word spoke.
He went through his school years being one of the more popular boys in school. There was rarely a kid in school who didn't know Ace's name, be it for the wrong reason or the right ones. That was the case in high school as well. Ace was a kid that showed up to high school his first day as a freshman and just demanded the sort of respect you could only get from successfully flirting with senior girls. This combination of popularity continued into his later years, and once a junior Ace decided to make it his mission to spread his amazing-ness to the freshman class. That was when he met Oliver Barnes for the first time. Oliver was a shy guy, but amazing (though not as amazing as Ace) at basketball. They spent a majority of their time hanging out on the court but when they were off it they were nearly inseparable.
But all that changed during a school dance. Ace was third wheeling for Oliver and his well, it'd be unfair to say "flavor of the month" but Ace wanted to see it that way. In any case, he went to the dance and had fun dancing with anyone that asked. His fun was ruined later in the night when some sort of altercation between AJ and Oliver reared its head. Before he knew what was going on Ace pulled the two apart, trying to rationalize his reasoning by trying to protect his friend. The two disappeared quickly after the altercation and that was the last time he saw his friends face.
Sure, the two kept in contact by constant calling but seemingly overnight (to him anyway, he'd been nursing a hangover at the time so time-frames were a little foggy) his closest friend and AJ disappeared. He later learned, after pulling the information from Oliver like he was pulling teeth, that the two left the state to go attend some private boarding school. Which seemed a tad bit suspicious to Mason but he didn't feel a need to investigate- yet.
Instead the boy poured himself into his school work, finished up his school years at the normal boring high school with no further incidents except for the depth of which he missed his 'better half' Once he graduated Mason hung around the town only long enough to save up some extra cash and apply at a college near his old friend's new school. Now he's moved out to Pilot Ridge (careful to keep it a secret from Oliver) to start a new life and finally figure out what the hell happened those few years ago. He's hoping that him and Oliver can pick up where they left off, and that he can surprise Oliver by just showing up outside his school. Though that might be creepy. He's already found an apartment and is looking for employment as well.Roleplay ExampleAntosha Vikenti, Mathis Reeves, Demetrius Wolfbane, Lukas Miles, Lucio and Marco VictoreWhat About You?Name: Dia
