SUE: What Did You Do? (Ivy and Everett)

Everett's allergies are acting up, and now the grid is down. If Ivy saw this coming, then she should get an "A".

Wait in the training room, I'll be running a bit late today, Her trainer had said, and now after three hours, she was waiting in the same spot with another trainer in the same room. He had some power, obviously, but she didn't care to ask. All Ivy wanted to do was go back to bed and sleep, even though sleeping is the one thing she is learning how to do. With her power, the precognate was not allowed to sleep uninterrupted, and she was trying to remedy that.

But obviously her trainer could care less.

She really wanted this session too, because last night had been very frightening. Darkness. Yelling. Frantic attempts at using electronics that received no signal. Those were the flashes that Ivy had seen, and she wanted to know exactly what that meant. A power outage, possibly? But why would EVERYONE be yelling? Unless it was more than one building.

What made it worse was that the blonde trainer a few steps away was sniffling up a storm, and she was tempted to snap at him. Luckily for her, she refrained.

"You seriously come into work sick like that?" Ivy said, her voice dull and bored.

Everett had called Oliver and cancelled their training session, but he'd realized he left his papers in the training room and had to go back for them. He was feeling extremely under the weather. Damn allergy season. He was sneezing and his head felt like it was going to explode. It was finally warm enough in Pilot Ridge to enjoy the weather and this was how he felt. Just great.

As he reached for his papers, a young girl said something to him. She sounded apathetic, bored. "I'm very dedicated," he replied to her. He'd planned to do all of his sessions and then he just had to cancel Oliver's. He was sure the young guy would understand. "Where's your trainer?"

He felt like he had to sneeze again. Ugh.

"Dedication doesn't excuse the fact that you're sick and working with other human beings." Normally Ivy wouldn't have been so confrontational, but she was very upset with the fact that her trainer had yet to show, and sadly this trainer had been in the same vicinity as her wrath, and thus it was pressed onto him.

"Hell if I know. If you see her, tell her I've been waiting three hours." Ivy grumbled, sitting in another seat just for the moment. Her shoe, she noticed, was untied and she was tired of standing and pacing. It was exhausting, unnecessary, and just...

ugh.

It didn't help that he looked as if he were ready to sneeze again. "Do you at least have tissues?"

"I'm not sick. I have allergies. There's a difference," Everett told her. This girl definitely wanted to vent her anger onto somebody and he just happened to be there. It wasn't as if he was gross or anything. He washed his hands and he was taking care of himself. "If you've been waiting three hours, why are you still here?" Why wouldn't she have left by now? Her trainer wasn't going to show after that long. "Who is your trainer?"

"Yes, I have tissues," he replied, just as he started to feel the sneeze coming on. He removed a tissue from his pocket quickly just as he sneezed. The lights flickered around them.

"Still bacteria and mucus coming out of your nose," Ivy shrugged, sitting down and fixing that untied shoe lace with what seemed to be a perpetual scowl. When he made the assumption that she was taking it out on him, he was right. While it wasn't what she would normally do, she most definitely wouldn't feel bad after she got back to her dorm and recollected on the day's events.

When the lights flickered when he sneezed, she jumped up, visibly nervous because of the dream she had that night -aka why she wanted to talk to her trainer- was indicative of some sort of power outage. "What was that?" She demanded, her once neutral tone now slightly shook.
