SUE: There Goes My Day (Isabela Monroe and Sawyner)

P.E. is cut short today.

There's not a whole lot that can be done when the power goes out. Regardless of the hour, it was something of a safety hazard, and Izzy had to comply with the way that forced her hand. Cutting P.E. short was never fun for her, but she had to comply. It'd been long enough that she was in the process of moving equipment back with the natural ease that was her strength level. They could play volleyball another day, surely, but it still didn't mean she was happy about it.

Just as she'd gone to pull the net down from one side, she heard a noise. The door behind her opening to a relatively dark gym.

"Is there something I can help you with?" Izzy asked, opting not to turn around as she continued to reach. She wasn't sure why she bothered, really. She'd always been just a little too short for it. "The power's out. Class ended early."

Or really, it never began. But she doubted those students of hers who preferred to arrive late would know that.

The fact that she wasn't graduating with her peers was throwing Sawyer into a bit of a loop. Not to mention, her electrokinetic girlfriend and her were in a bit of a funk and Sawyer was not happy about it. It showed in how she kept on annoying people by mimicking their voices and screeching for them to move out of her way as she made her way to the gym.

She wasn't late, perse. She hadn't even thought of going in the first place. So really, it wasn't her fault that she was the only one there.

Hearing the familiar voice of her favourite teacher in the entire school, Sawyer leaned against the doorway, squinting in the semi-darkness to find Miss Monroe. "Augh, I was so looking forward to spiking a ball down some bitch's back."

Despite the semi-worrying nature of Sawyer's statement, Isabela found herself smiling nonetheless. Within the mild darkness, she knew it'd likely be missed anyway. Especially given the distance between them. So for now, Izzy decided to leave the net as it was.

"You know I always enjoy your enthusiasm, Sawyer." She replied. Of course she knew this girl by name. With an advanced memory like hers, remembering names was relatively simple. "Other's mightn't, but I do all the same."

Taking a few steps towards her, Izzy glanced back to the ceiling briefly, as if her attention was caught by the lack of working lights again. "As you can see, something's cut the power. So class is cancelled today." Looking back to her, she nodded once, her smile remaining, "So you can genuinely miss it, as you'd like."

Smirking at the response from the PE teacher, Sawyer squinted to see if she could spike the volleyball some other place anyway. "That's why I like you Miss." She declared. It was true though, her undeniably grating nature was off-putting, it makes sense that people wouldn't like her 'enthusiasm' as Miss Monroe stated.

Pouting slightly, Sawyer sighed as she ran her fingers through her hair. "One of the electros probably." Sawyer reckoned before clearing her throat.

"Lemme ask you somethin', Miss. Say you're having fun with a girl, or guy whatever your preference. No judgements here. Say you're having fun with them yeah? And then all of a sudden, they're being weird around ya. For no apparent reason. Like...how do you deal?"

It had been meant as a joke, just something to pass time but she found that she was genuinely curious as to what someone like the teacher would do in a situation like this.

"And I thank you for your honesty." Isabela replied instantly, offering a slight nod in tandem with a growing smile. She doubted many teachers got a student like Sawyer Lynn to like them, so she counted that as a win.

What she didn't expect was for this to end up as an advice session. Nevertheless, Izzy was hardly about to turn a student down if they needed something. She nodded once at the concept of no judgement, finding the little statement slightly endearing. And she listened to the way the voice mimic slightly rambled through her question.

"Could I ask; weird, how?" She asked, furrowing her eyebrows at the choice of words. "Distant?"

Smirking, Sawyer gave a sharp salute, not even caring if the gym teacher actually saw it or not.

Distant was a word she could definitely associate her situation with Dani was. The electrokinetic was not as enthusiastic to be with Sawyer as she had been when they first started...being together.

Yes, Sawyer was pretty sure they weren't actually together. But how else could she have labelled what they were? They were definitely not girlfriends nor were they friends either. They haven't really talked much, have they? So...they were sleeping buddies at best. And now they're not.

"Yes? Yes. I mean we've had some bangin' time you know. And you know...bangin' time." Sawyer emphasised on the word, putting faith in the gym teacher to know exactly what she meant. "And then all of a sudden she isn't talkin' to me or actively seeking me out or nothin'. It's weird."

Closing her eyes, Izzy wore a smile as she nodded to the voice mimic. Yes, she understood what bangin' time meant, and the various reasons the girl had for it. It didn't surprise her to hear such a thing. After all, they were teenagers.

What was more important was the fact that she agreed that the issue was distance. Or rather, someone being distant. That was what she chose to focus in on a little more than the inner workings of this girl's relationship with another girl.

"Not talking at all?" Isabela asked. Given that she had no idea who Sawyer was even talking about, she struggled to come up with an answer that wasn't the obvious type. "What's it like when you're together, in the-" Pausing, she raised her hand, "-Non bangin' time sense?"

Sawyer realised she had failed to add the fact that she and Dani don't really talk outside of the sex and drinking. She didn't even think it would be a problem. Dani wasn't Lucy. That was what Sawyer had Lucy for. Did she have to treat Dani like she would the Australian?

"Uh...does it matter? I mean I like having sex with her. Does it have to be more than that?" She asked, scratching the back of her head in confusion.
