Powers: Tracking- Lukas is able to pinpoint the location of a person’s whereabouts usually with a safety zone of only 2 miles, if the person is moving. The location of the person usually comes in one of two forms; either their location will be pinpointed on a mental map, or if he is concentrating harder he will see an exact time movie of what the person's doing as well as their surrounding area. The image usually comes with the vague notion of "Austin" or "Rome", but if the person is closer to his current location it might even have the name of the building closest to them. Doing so requires Lukas to have a full name and a picture of the person he is looking for and generally the better he knows the person, the easier it become to find them. Unfortunately trying to locate someone’s position leaves Lukas with headaches, which can temporarily decommission the tracker if he spends too long searching for them or if they are across the ocean or something. It also leaves him prone to getting lost, to the point he’s gotten turned around in his own home. He’s unsure why he gets lost but he assumes it is because his mind is busy repeating the locations of various places and not just his destination. He’s also prone to bouts of confusion, such as forgetting what he’s doing or where he is or in general just anything that is going on. Thankfully, though, Lukas was spared losing his spacial awareness so he’s still able to shoot his bow safely.

General Appearance: Lukas is the sort of guy who believes appearances are important. Not just in the sense someone should be well kept, but that they should always be dressed as though someone were to come. It’s rare that you will see Lukas in plain t-shirt, and if he’s in sweatpants then you can be sure that Alyssa has locked him out of his closet. Instead he prefers button-up collared shirts, dress pants or nice jeans, and a jacket if it is colder outside. If it is warmer he can be talked into a collar short sleeve shirt, and occasionally he can even be seen in some kind of cargo shorts. To work he always wears high end suits as a sort of uniform, regardless of the fact he works at a high school. In fact he looks more like he is headed to a high rise building as a CEO rather than a small room in Hammel for history classes.
Physically, Lukas would like to think he's a rather distinguished man. He has a chiseled jaw with is normally decorated with scruff that can turn into a beard some weeks when Alyssa decides that she'll hog the bathroom all morning. The scruff really doesn't go with his "well kept" look, but he likes to say that it makes him appear more manly. As well as hiding some of the wrinkles he's been getting (though it does nothing to help the ones on his forehead). His skin is that of your standard Caucasian, and he sports green eyes (which in the right light and backdrop might even turn blue). Standing at 6'2 he is 5 inches taller than his wife, and towers over most of the foster kids they take in.
Personality: Lukas is a remarkably calm guy, the sort of calm guy that can keep a level head even after a long day of teaching at Hammel and coming home to a house full of even more kids. He doesn’t lose his temper easily and if he does, it isn’t the raise your voice sort of anger it is always a quiet, passive aggressive kind of anger. Nor does he rush things in his life and would much rather sit back and sip a glass of wine rather than go out to a club or anywhere deemed “social”.
Past that Lukas might come across a little cold or, should someone know that he’s someone of money, a bit snobbish. It isn’t by choice but rather he likes to maintain a slightly too professional manner while at work or when with co-workers. So he avoids talking about anything “personal” unless it deals with a foster child’s schooling. Or the possibility of someone adopting a foster child, but in that case he’ll ask them to meet outside of the workplace.
Outside of work, though, he’s a much kinder person and is more apt to smile. Though it will always be a very small smile. He spends his free time either with friends or at home with his “kids”. Often times he likes planning weekends to the beach for the whole family, or taking them out around Vermont to get them away from Hammel. He’s more likely to allow Alyssa to take credit for the planning, though, so no one will notice how soft he actually is to his family and fosters. Lukas also enjoys spending his time in his study helping out with homework, or out in the large backyard teaching whoever is interested archery. Or he just practices by himself.Your VicesLikes:

Samuel Knight (14) - FosterHistoryLukas grew up the heir to old family money, son of an American business man and an equally wealthy French Canadian. He wanted for nothing, always had friends (though their friendships were probably due to his status rather than pure reasons), and was often spoiled. His mother, wanting to maintain her roots, instilled in him a wide french vocabulary which he still maintains to this day thanks to family reunions and long phone conversations with his mother- who refuses to speak anything but the language unless she has to. He was often taught useless skills such as archery, which he still enjoys teaching to his foster children as well as Miles, and ballroom dancing. Most of his early school was divided between individual tutors and private boarding school (usually far from home so his family could "broaden" his knowledge).
His power was discovered when he was in Florida, during a summer vacation with a group of his friends. His parents had taken time off from their lives to go join the group, having not wanted to risk their son wandering off and not returning so as to leave them heir-less. They were staying at the beach hotel when the incident occurred. The group of friends were all hanging around on a beach when a group of rather attractive girls showed up. The girls hit on one of Lukas' childhood friends and neighbor at the time. No one was really surprised when his friend and the girl disappeared. However hours passed and around midnight that same day his friend had yet to return. When they were all trying to figure out where said friend was, Lukas suddenly obtained an overwhelming headache as the mental image of his friend standing outside a hotel doorway came to his mind. No one really understood where the image came from, but sure enough they found his friend there not twenty minutes later. Recruiters found him while he was still wandering around Florida with his friends and took him to Hammel, where his family bought a large house to stay in during his schooling. The house was later passed on to him and is his current home. His family took it remarkably well considering neither of them were metas, his mother more so than his father. His father had a small desire to try and use his son's power for monetary gain, which has since been quenched. In their minds it didn't make their son less of a man to become a meta but instead he was boosted into a bit more of an elite type.
The only time he really began to grow as a person was when he was discovered to be a meta and moved to live at Hammel. Surrounded by the diverse population offered at Hammel showed him all the different walks of life. Unlike the private schools, which held only a certain breed of people, he was exposed to everything from dirt poor people from the south to the kind of party people that were always on something. Some of which decided to expand Lukas' view on certain topics, such as his closed understanding of how the world works. After all, when one grows up with money, you tend to get a distorted sense of the world.
One of the people who helped him the most with understanding the world was his future wife- Alyssa Schmidt. The girl who when he first met her, he swore she was trying to kill him. After all what else was he to think when this black clad girl comes speeding into a parking spot he was standing in? He still swears that if he hadn't had jumped out of the way she would have run him over. It didn’t even help when she offered to take him out to coffee- since that would involve him having to ride on her dirty, loud motorcycle.
But despite that glamorous start to a relationship, it only took another year before the two of them were happily dating. After they graduated from Hammel they both went to separate colleges but maintained a long distance relationship, and by their third college year Lukas got up the courage to ask her to marry him. Long story short, they both finished up college, got married, and Alyssa got pregnant with their first-and only-child. His original plan when attending college was that he would go into business like his father had, but when he got there he realized that well... Business wasn't fun. Sure it might have been the responsible thing but Lukas had been infected by Alyssa, if that were even a thing, and he decided to go into the history department and get a teaching degree. The decision was mostly spur of the moment but after awhile he decided he quite liked the idea of teaching history and once he graduated he headed out to Hammel almost immediately to obtain a job at the meta school. So he's been working at Hammel 16 years.
After Miles was born, yes his name was a running joke, Alyssa was told that the complications in labor scarred her in such a way that she wouldn’t ever be able to have children again. Something that she still isn’t fully over. But after a while of settling back into Hammel, she finally decided that if she couldn’t have kids of her own anymore then she would foster them. This was decided over ten years ago, back when both were barely in their 30s and Miles had only just turned 6. The first child they ever took in was a small, kind of troubled kid named Spencer who was only 8 at the time. Time passed and when Spencer went into adoption, they quickly snatched him. After that they've had almost twenty foster children, including Spencer, most of which have come and gone rather quickly into their various lives. One boy, like Spencer, was only 11 when he arrived at their doorstep and as years passed with Thomas in their house they began opening an adoption process for him as well.
So now, Lukas spends his time with his house full of kids and his classroom full of more kids. Unfortunately, Lukas has a rather soft heart (as does his wife) and they've even adopted a few of their more long-term foster children that were put up for adopt. This left them open to take in more children, as well as being able to claim that they had more than one actual son. Unfortunately both boys they've adopted ((while one is still in the process of it)) are older than their biological son.
