This power is pretty basic and straight forward. For the most part, it causes Geist body to be see-through. That means, you can still see his shape and contours of his features and such, but not make out much else. If he were to stand perfectly still, you may not notice him at all. That's if the power has worked to that extent. Sometimes being startled will cause him to go semi-transparent. This leads to either seeing his muscle structure or a walking skeleton, depending on how nervous he is. Fatigue also plays a part in the transparency, causing the same effect as being startled. If he is tired he has a harder time becoming see-through. Also, he can hold the transparency only for short bursts of time when tired or sick. These bursts being about 15 minutes or less. If he's not tired and focusing well, he can hold it for about an hour.

Using his power however has caused his skin to take on a permanent "shiny" or translucent appearance. It's not see-through, just seems a lot thinner than it actually is. This leads him very open to sun burn and infections. Geist doesn't get sick often though, but still has to wear sun screen whenever he goes outside, even in winter. The sun isn't just burning the first layer, it goes past it to the third. Also, going transparent makes his stomach ache from time to time, mostly from nerves and having to concentrate so hard. Another drawback is that, he has to be naked in order for his power to work fully, which the poor guy hates with all his heart.

Any Scars? A gash down his right arm from being hit by a car, and a crook in his nose from it being broken twice. Once by a bully when he was 10 and then once from slamming into a tree while running when he was 15. 
General Appearance: Standing at 5 ft 4 in tall, Geist is just a little under average height, but it looks fine for his body size. He weighs a grand total of 125 lbs, even though he seems to be a lot skinnier. The hair on his head is long, slightly wavy, dark black and mostly worn down. The hair's appearance is a trait he got from his mother, along with his dark blue eyes. As mentioned in his powers, the boy's skin has a slight translucent appearance and with the addition of the sunblock, that he always wears, it gives him almost like a shimmer or shine. 

Geist never feels the need to dress up, but he does have a few pairs of nice pants as well as some dress shirts. However, those are usually hidden deep within his closet, behind the various band and nerd culture T-shirts of course. His pants are usually jeans and even if they are new, they usually have holes in them, or even appear older. Geist doesn't like the feel of new clothes, so he distresses them as soon as he gets them home. As for shoes, he wears a lot of Converse High Tops. In fact, they are usually the most expensive things in his wardrobe, despite his mother and half-brother's efforts. 


Personality: As his look may suggest to most, Geist isn't exactly the most peppy and upbeat of people. He is happy, but he just has his own way of showing it. Of course he smiles, laughs and jokes around with friends, but his humor is very dry and sarcastic. Sometimes it can be hard for people to tell when he is being serious, at least until they get to know him. It's pretty easy to tell when he's angry or very serious about something, his eyes get a very intense look to them and it's the only time the scrawny man can seem remotely intimidating. 

Geist loves his mother and brother deeply, they, along with his cat, VooDoo, are the most important things in his life. He considers friends as family as well and will stick with them and defend them at all costs. Sometimes he seems that he has an overwhelming sense of justice, but he just can't stand to see anyone being taken advantage of or hurt. This of course has gotten him into plenty of trouble over the years, but he doesn't mind. In his eyes he always try to do the right thing and to stick up for the little guy. When in a relationship, he is the most loyal, loving, and generous person. Unless you wake him up too early, then you may have a vicious lion on your hands.

Family Ties

History

Geist was born into a relatively happy home. His mother, Nadia, had been raising her oldest son, Erin, on her own when she met Geist's father. A kind man, if not a bit distant at times. So, it really came to no surprise to Nadia when Magnus just didn't come home one day. She did try to find him, just to make sure he was alright. After she did, she and the boys were off. Geist was a year old when they moved to New Jersey. It was his mother's home after all, and she felt right bringing the boys there. 


It was a good decision. Minus a few threats from Erin's father now and then, the family was very happy. Everything was normal in their quiet little word, until Geist's 12th brithday. The boy was born in late October, Halloween to be exact, and the family was having the usual small costume party for the boy and his friends. It was always held in the day, so the kids could still trick-or-treat. The part was just under way when Geist walked up to his mom and said he felt very hot. She thought the boy was getting sick, because he also looked strangely pale. Nadia was prepared to take him to the doctor, but as the sun went down, he started feeling better. The next day however, he took a turn for the worst. 


Erin and Geist were in the backyard as Nadia was cooking diner. Suddenly, the back door burst open and Erin was carrying his brother in his arms. The boys skin was red and he was screaming in pain. They rushed him to the hospital and waited for what seemed like ages to find out what was wrong. They did wait, days actually, before the Doctor came in with a man in a suit to explain things a little better. The family was set down and explained Geist was a Meta, and there was a special school that could help him learn his ability and keep him safe. Geist was the first to chime in that he was okay with it, as was his mother. Erin was a bit skeptical, but he was always protective over his little brother. In time he came to be fine with the decision.


At Hammel, Geist learned to control his power, to wear sunblock, made many friends, and graduated with some decent grades. After graduation, the young Meta set out to travel the country, hopping from one state to the next and just enjoying life. New Orleans was his favorite place, it was hot, but it had such a charm to it. That and he got close with a certain cajun man, who swept him off his feet. He stayed briefly in the south, before he started to miss Pilot Ridge and Hammel. It had been two years since he left and he wanted to go back. So, he did. He found a nice little apartment, a job, and a black cat named VooDoo (whom he brought back from New Orleans) and settled into his new life.
