In fact the only that surprised him about the whole ordeal was the fact his face was already bruising, and the note he'd received after leaving the office. It was simple, short, and confusing. A summons to Vincent's office. He knew the security head more than he'd like to have admitted, but it didn't explain why he was- oh. Demetrius sneered and crumpled the note before shoving it in his pocket. Vincent had obviously learned about his little... argument in the library and wanted to chew him out personally.
The small boy stomped through the hallways towards Vincent's office, a scowl on his face. Completely un-fucking-necessary. His body was tense from the after math of the fight, getting in trouble, and now having to show up to get in more trouble. It didn't help that really the only communication between Vincent and himself had occurred when the boy was sneaking out. And then maybe a few times when Demetrius popped by to drop off a lunch Mathis had made for him. So he had no real information on what the older man would use against him other than the usual tactic of disappointment and anger. That was something everyone seemed to rely on.
He paused just outside of Vincent's office, debating on whether or not he should knock before he shrugged and pushed open the door. After all the older man summoned him 'immediately', he had to be expecting Demetrius.
"You rang?" He said sarcastically, walking into the room with the air that he actually belonged. Like somehow the office was his home. "Let me guess.... Y'want Matty's cookie recipe?"
Demetrius wasn't really surprised after his fight to receive a detention. He'd actually expected to receive more than just one, but he wasn't going to complain. Undoubtedly he'd run into more fights before the school year was up, ending up in more detentions than the winged boy wanted to count. Not to mention his constant urge to sneak out in the middle of the night to go star gazing.
