It was a bit weird, coming into the bar on a school night without worrying about staying sober. Not that he ever did stay sober before but it was still very weird.

Ordering a Stoli, Chester took the time to get a good look at the crowd that night. Nobody in particular struck his fancy, which was really a bummer as he had come out of hiding for that very purpose.

The telepath checked his phone to see if Calliope had sent him a message, as she often did, but found nothing. He tried to relax, get his mind loose but it inevitably went back to Cameron and his reappearance in Chester's life. He knew he had asked the guy to continue his education first and he knew he shouldn't be thinking about the blonde at all in any capacity but it had really messed him up.

It wasn't easy, he found, to let go of that one person you had set your heart on for so long. It was a wonder how he was even able to go to work every day and actually make executive decisions.

Getting his order, Chester was about to take a swig but all of it ended up on the front of his shirt when someone knocked him over in their attempt to maneuver the bar.

"You gotta be kidding me." He licked his lower lip and wiped his chin with the back of his hand as he turned to look at the culprit.

Rayne decided tonight would be a night for celebration. School or no school. Her shoes finally arrived from the mail and they fit deliciously well and by God she was going to celebrate.

So she strapped on the new pair of heels, threw on a shirt that probably shouldn't be worn outside the safety of her house, and headed out to go to her brother's favorite haunt. With any luck he wouldn't be there. God only knew how awkward that would be. Maybe he could be at home waiting for the little cat he wouldn't shut up about. A cat that wasn't actually a cat... Rayne paused as she threw her hair up into a simple ponytail, looking in the mirror curiously. "Sounds like something Alice would say." She told her reflection firmly before going back to preparing.

A while later Rayne was strolling into the Churchkey, giving a barely there smile to the bartender before wiggling her eyebrows and pointing to her heels. Because everyone wanted to know what she was celebrating, right? She walked up to the bar easily and ordered her drink, leaning against the wooden counter while she scanned the patrons with gray-blue eyes.

Sighing softly she took her drink, planning to go find someone new to mingle with when her new heel got caught up in the bar stool and caused her to stumble- right into an unsuspecting victim. Oh lordy, Caelum would think this was the funniest thing of the year. "Whoopsie!" She mumbled as she righted herself, her drink magically still intact due to her quick thinking (and the fact she hadn't had it near her face). Blue eyes turning upwards she offered the stranger an apologetic smile. "Sorry! My heel got all caught up in the dastardly stool and- Oh my! I spilled this all over your shirt!" Her voice rose slightly as she noticed the obvious fact that the man's drink was all over his front. "We should go get you cleaned up!" Yes, because that wasn't at all obvious.

It didn't take much for Chester to get distracted and a nice bra underneath a see-through shirt was definitely a one-way ticket to Distraction Land for the ginger.

The drink almost completely forgotten, Chester had to turn in his stool to truly appreciate the person standing in front of him. Not his usual fare but breasts were breasts and did she have some on her.

Her enthusiasm at cleaning him up had him raising an eyebrow. "No amount of club soda is going to wash this out of my shirt." He responded. "You're going to have to buy me another one. Not to mention the drink that you've spilled." He tilted his head to the side a little with a little smirk on his face.

Rayne cocked her hip to the side, taking another drink as she raised a delicate eyebrow at the stranger. Granted she had worn this shirt on purpose but the male could at least have the decency to comment on how attractive she was.

After all she'd even gone through the trouble of finding a bra that would go with her outfit! Stone blue eyes regarded the male warmly as he turned in stool, a tiny smirk pulling at the corner of her mouth before she covered the reaction with a sip of her drink. Gods that could be bad. She'd be as bad as her brother. Only... Far, far sexier.

However all her confidence fizzled out as quickly as it came when she remembered the fact she was only meeting the male because she had ruined his shirt. His words had her raising an eyebrow, though one of genuine surprise. But she shrugged it off and gave him an easy grin. "How about I just give you some money for dry cleaning?" Rayne offered, holding out her own drink with a quirk of her lips. "And give you this for your troubles? Unless you really want another drink some poor girl is going to spill on you again?"

Catching snippets of the girl's thoughts, Chester couldn't help but smirk. He was probably the last person someone should rely on when it came to compliments. He would give it sure, but it didn't happen often and even when it did, it would be so backhanded or just plain insulting. No, compliments from him were rare and few.

But she did look good. Her ensemble was definitely eye-catching, especially the chest area. Which was where she obviously wanted him to look.

He gave a nonchalant shrug and turned back to the bar as he started to unbutton his shirt. Reaching behind him for his jacket, he took off his shirt and pulled on his jacket, buttoning it up before handing the shirt over to the girl. "The dry cleaners are still open." He responded as he ordered another drink. "Put it on her tab, I guess."

She took another sip of her own drink when it was obvious the man wasn't going to be paying her any compliments. Which, frankly, would have been welcome however as cute as he was she preferred her men with a bit less squishy of faced. Didn't mean he wasn't cute though. Just meant he was the sort of cute you say in little boys.

If only if it weren't for his sense of self entitlement.

Rayne returned her shrug and watched him take off his shirt with another small smirk that would sooner belong to her brother than to her. She took the shirt when it was offered and half threw it over her shoulder before giving the bartender a small smile. "Only the one on my tab. Unless he lets me spill more." With that she turned and made her way out of the bar to go down the street to the well placed dry cleaners.

It only took ten minutes before the small girl was back at Churchkey's and making her way to the bar to order a fresh drink, the dry cleaning ticket tucked neatly into her bra. Icy blue eyes caught the flash of red hair that she had run into before and she suppressed a smile before walking over to tap on his shoulder. "I'm back!"

Chester smirked at the girl's response to his putting an order on her tab. When she left, Chester chuckled, surprised she even went. "What a nice girl." He said to the bartender who shook his head, though Chester could see a ghost of a grin on her face.

He spent the rest of the time drinking and people watching, being completely bored of the mundane thoughts of people around the bar. Some were thinking of banging each other, some were thinking about work, some were thinking about drinking a lot more and some were just thinking in gibberish. Mundane.

When she came back, Chester only gave her a side glance before a short nod of acknowledgement. "You can send the shirt to me once it's done. In the meantime, if you could just..move away and let me drink in peace, that would be great."

Rayne, though mildly shocked by the male's slightly callous attitude, took the words in stride. As though it were completely normal to be told off for doing some stranger a favor. "I agreed to pay, not to be your personal errand girl." With that she proceed to fish the ticket from her bra, setting it on the counter beside the male. "Get it yourself if you're that worried."

She turned to pick up the fresh drink from the counter and smiled some at the bartender, taking a small sip before glancing out into the crowd. Mentally she tried to play the 'who's a meta' game, which eventually just devolved into adding onto her plot to unite the world. First she just had to find enough people with a persuasive ability. Maybe pheromone control could be helpful? Rayne took another drink as she pondered using just old fashion blackmail in some cases.

All that took place in the span of maybe five minutes before she grew bored and turned back to the red haired boy she was still standing beside. "My name is Rayne, by the way. What's yours?"
