The BasicsName: Ramona Josephine Knight
Nicknames: MoJo, MonaJo, Mona
Age: 13
Orientation: unkown
Desired Rank/Job: Student
Powers: Superspeed - MoJo can move at superhuman speeds. While she is moving extremely fast, she doesn't perceive it as such. Mojo, instead, sees life while using her ability as if the world has slowed down around her. The speed allows MoJo to react quickly to stimuli around her, as well as travel from place to place in a seemingly impossible amount of time. At her current size and weight the girl can run on water at speeds above 65 mph. As she grows this speed will have to increase in order for her to keep herself up. Fully grown she will need to run about 85 mph to attain the feat (depending on her full grown weight and foot size). MoJos max speed is about 110mph, but the faster she runs, the shorter amount of time she can hold the speed. (This can improve with training, though limits will always exist). Additionally, running at high speeds can allow MoJo to run horizontally on walls at anywhere between 10 ft and 50 ft (at a speed of approx. 60 to 100mph)Occasionally her hands start flying faster than the rest of her, and she needs to focus to slow them down.
Side effects to MoJo's ability include a dangerously fast metabolism - the girl needs to eat anywhere from 3 to 5 times the calories than an average girl her age and size every day. Additionally, the girl may burn herself while using her ability for long periods due to the friction between her legs. This problem is reduced with proper protective clothing. The ability also uses a lot of energy, causing fatigue. Overuse will also induce nausea and dizziness. MoJo's tolerance to these factors will increase with training, and with practice she will be able to use her ability for longer and longer periods of time before experiencing them.

Eye Color: brown
Any Piercings? ears - although she rarely wears earings
Any Tattoos? none
Any Scars? one behind her left ear from the failed Cochlear Implant surgery. It's small, and not noticeable under the layers of her hair, but no hair grows in that spot.
General Appearance: MoJo is a small, lanky thing, with wild black hair that she almost always refuses to brush. She has bright eyes and an even brighter smile. She isn't phased by getting dirty and doesn't really fuss over her appearance. She opts for a more 'urban' style, if you can even call it that. Usually MoJo just throws on shorts and a simple tshirt or tanktop. The only makeup the little girl even thinks is worth her time is nailpolish, and that is because she likes keeping her hands nice and pretty - something that comes with the need to communicate with them.
Personality: MoJo is a mischievous live-wire with a great sense of adventure. She loves to get reactions from people, whether it be laughter or fright or even a bit of anger or annoyance. She collects Popsicle sticks with jokes on them and uses them to make people laugh. She also loves joke shops where she can buy joy buzzers and the like. She subconciously craves the attention that comes from these activities.
Being in the middle of so many siblings is likely the cause for Ramona's need for attention. Despite her need for this attention, MoJo is a very quiet girl. This is because she doesn't speak. At least not with her mouth. Ramona was born deaf.
Despite this, MoJo loves to talk, and finds one way or another to try and communicate. She isn't always quick to approach someone she doesn't know, however once introduced, MoJo's hands will fly trying to tell one her favorite stories. She loves to dance, even if she can't hear the music. Being able to remain so quiet helps Ramona and her slightly sneaky ways - she often slinks around silently to prank her siblings or friends.
Ramona does get frustrated easily, however. One of the most infuriating things to MoJo is when people don't make a serious effort to communicate with her. She is very understanding that not everyone can sign, but she is aware there are ways around this. She hates when other people don't give her a chance. She also gets frustrated with her reading and writing, because ASL differs from English. Ramona struggles with grammar and sentence structure.
Ramona can also be a troublemaker - though not in malice. The little girl never has poor intentions. She can, however, make people angry with her pranks. She can get lost on her adventures, causing her parents to worry (after all, she can't hear them when they call for her!). She also tends to get herself into things or places where she isn't allowed, simply out of curiosity.
Mojo likes to try and do things that superheros can do - like climb high places and scale walls and door frames. She loves comics and would give anything to be a super hero. Lukily, she's a metahuman, which is about the closest thing to a superhero she could get - and she is extremely excited about her ability. Due to this, she had a new favorite superhero - quicksilver.
MoJo manifested just a month ago. It was a fairly quiet event, though she became very excited when she realized that she had an ability. She was signing to her mother, something about her older sister Cosima teasing her, when her hands started to fly at an unbelievable speed. Isabella had to grab her daughter's hands to stop her from signing and realize what had happened. The next week MoJo started training.Your VicesLikes: pranks, Popsicle stick jokes, dancing, running, comic books, super heroes, sneakers, simplicity,

There was one thing about Ramona that doctors would not discover for a while, though, when Ramona was 4 months old and still not mimicing any of the noises that her parents or siblings would make. Ramona was a concerning quiet baby - rarely crying even. She didn't react to the sound of her parent's voice. Or loud noises. Her parents were experienced enough to know something wasn't quite right, and at her 4 month check up it was confirmed that Ramona was, indeed, deaf. Her family adapted quickly, everyone learning sign language to the best of their ability in order to help little Ramona learn to communicate.
When she was 2 years old, after saving up some money, the Knights decided to try the Cochlear Implant surgery, which would allow for Ramona to hear, and being to learn to speak and communicate without sign language. However, the procedure failed, and Ramona's body rejected the implant. It was too risky and expensive to attempt the surgery again, so Ramona is deaf to this day.
Growing up was still very normal for Ramona. She had a huge family and was always fighting for attention since her siblings could speak over her. Ramona often felt 'lost' within her large group of siblings, and tended to find her own fun, by playing pranks on them, by reading comic books, or by exploring outside alone. She make herself seen and "heard" when she was craving attention, though, when she learned to climb onto counter tops and get lost in grocery stores.
When she was 2, Ramona's father started referring to her as "Ramona-Jo", and eventually shortened it to "Mona-Jo" because the girl seemed to respond to it more. The words (especially 'Jo') were easier to lip read. After the discovery that the girl could lip read smaller sections of words, the family decided to shorten her nickname even further to 'MoJo'. As she grew up, MoJo developed her own nicknames or shortenings of her siblings names to make it easier for her to lipread or finger spell their names.MoJo's manifestation was fairly quiet. She was signing to her mother, upset that her older sister, Cosima, was teasing her, when her fingers and hands started to move at an impssible rate. Isabella had to grab her daughter's wrists before MoJo even realized what was happening, because she didn't perceive her fingers as moving quickly, but her mother moving slowly. MoJo started training at Hammel the following week, but still lives at home. She is causing quite some trouble with her newfound ability- using it to sneak behind her siblings and scare them as well as run up walls. Her new favorite game is to tap her sibling's shoulders and then run away.
Now Mojo is 13, going on 14. She is going into 8th grade, and due to her recent manifestation will be attending Hammel starting at the end of July. She currently goes to Hammel every day, though to get a jump start on training, but lives at home with her parents and siblings. She has a translator who goes with her to classes in order to translate the lessons.Roleplay ExampleSee Eloise Eaton or Gabriel JamesWhat About You?Name: Emily
