[Morgan Munroe]

 Morgan was sitting down on the floor waiting for her new student. She decided why she waited she would read over the student information. Morgan wasn't as nervous as she was a couple hour ago. Her nerves were calm enough to where she could mask them so they didn't show. After all if the kid she got happen to be a trouble maker the last thing she wanted to show was any sign of weakness. After all she had done the same with her. When Morgan had gone here she had given her trainer a hard time and kept doing so till they ended up switching her to who didn't tolerate her not doing anything and missing practices. Oh, how she hoped history didn't repeat itself and karma decided to come back to bite her in the ass. Not to say she couldn't handle it if it did but she rather her and her student got along.

 When looking at his age she thought to herself she probably really shouldn't be referring to him as a kid though when there wasn't much of an age difference between them. Morgan had yet to figure out if the fact she wasn't that much older than most of her students was going to be a good or bad thing. Would they not listen to her because she wasn't that much older than them or they would like her better because she was around their age?  She guess she would soon find out.

There were just so many other better things that Marcus could be doing with his time right now. Training, in his opinion, was just a waste of time. Why would he willingly want to turn into a girl, after all? It was ridiculous, he didn’t ask for this dumb power! And switching him from one trainer who couldn’t get him anywhere to another who won’t get him anywhere was not the solution. Marcus completely refused!

Then again…if he ever wanted to get out of here, he may as well figure something out that would satisfy their stupid criteria….then again, Marcus was still convinced that he wasn’t going to make any progress on this no matter how much he tried.

Really, getting out of here was something he wanted, yes, but Marcus needed something…more immediate. In the terms of rewards. Like…a trip to Disneyland, or something.

Marcus turned the knob on the door and stepped into the training room to meet his new trainer. “Heey, I’m here,” he mumbled. “Yeah, finally, right? Maybe a few minutes late, or maybe several, but the point was that I showed up, I’m here, and hey! Showing up is half the battle, right? At least that’s what my mom always says.” He shrugged, leaning against the wall and crossing one black clad leg over the other, the chains hanging loops from his belt clinking against one another. Yup…he was a regular rebel.

Morgan stood up once her new student came in and offered him a friendly smile. She was about to say back in till the boy started saying more. "Well, you're not that late but do make an effort to show up on time because I will have sessions after you. Also showing up is only the first start of the battle. Actually training and mastering your powers is the real battle sweetheart. Oh and hi I'm going to be your trainer Ms Munroe which you probably already figured out" she said kind of saying the Ms Munroe part hesitant. It was weird to have people call her by her last name it made her feel a lot older than she actually is. "Let me just start off by saying if you are coming in here thinking you won't be doing anything you have another thing coming. I'm real easy going as long as you don't give me a hard time and listen. If on the other hand you decided to purposely come late and not do anything you're going to end up hating me for the rest of the time we have together. I rather me and you just be friends, but it's up to you". She grabbed her clipboard off the ground. "Now today I'm just going to ask you a few question that I need to know and ask you show me what you can do already and we can train a little. If you do a good job I brought donuts" she said pointing to the box she sat on a table. "I know most people with physical powers like us get hungry after we use them so I will usually bring a treat if I can. Most of the time I will bring something more healthy. Any question Marcus"?

Yuup….there was nothing different about this teacher compared to the last one. Just another one who thought they were “unique” in thinking they’re going to “whip him into shape” by being a strict bitch. “Uh…yeah, I think I kind of got that from the fact that this is a ‘powers training’ session. But what you don’t know is that the final boss is a friggin wobuffet, you know what I mean.” That is, every time he tired to do something with it, it just kicked him in the ass. But if he just left it alone, it was just annoying.

“….Why would I be coming in here thinking I’m not doing anything?” he asked, rolling his eyes. The lecturing was a waste of his time, they could be doing the ‘something’ by now and already figuring out that that was a waste of time too. “….hating you for the rest of my life….because you…what? Gave me detention? Made me write “I will not be lazy” a million times on the blackboard? Or are you one of those military trainers who like to force kids to do laps and sit-ups and then give ‘em a good smack when they don’t? That last one there’s child abuse, by the way.” He wasn’t sure about the rest of it though. Marcus was pretty convinced that she couldn’t “make” him do anything.

Marcus sighed. “Ooo yeeey, donuts. I’ll be a good puppy now.” It was the same routine every time he switched trainers. Questions and show off. Marcus didn’t get particularly hungry after a shift, just a little bit tired and some muscle weakness. Though it was true that food kind of helped bounce him back, he wasn’t going to tell her that. “Nope, fire away.” He waved out a hand as if to invite Ms Munroe the chance to ask the questions.

Morgan just smirked amused as Marcus started talking. "Oh good your done. You know you sound just like me with my first trainer" she thought out loud. Maybe Karma was coming to get her and history was repeating it's self.If that was true she might actually turn out to like Marcus and vice versa because that how it went with her last trainer. She was thinking all the bad thoughts he was probably thinking about her to.
"Alright so how your diet Marcus? Are you eating three times a day and from every food group"?
When he was done answering that question she wrote it down and then asked the next one. "Are you active for at least a hour a day if not more"?

“And now I suppose you’re going to tell me you ‘understand’ what it’s like to be a kid, and that you were a ‘rough kid’ too. Oh, and look how nice you straightened out, so it must be possible for me too.” Great encouragement device. It was like having your mom running around using slang like “hip” and “whack” and then calling herself a “cool mom”. Thankfully, Marcus never had to deal with that from his own family, just from young trainers like this one.

“Are you going to scold me and impart upon the me the wise old knowledge of how eating right will be good for me in the long run when I tell you my meals mostly consist of meat, sugar, and junk food?” He rolled his eyes. “Does it look like I am?” With his twig-like arms, how can anybody think he was any sort of physically healthy?

"I wasn't going to because that use to annoy me but I've just officially became a 'adult' roughly five years ago and only been legal to drink for a couple years now. I'm not that old were I wouldn't remember or understand being a teen".

" Body weight shows up on everyone different so you can never just assume. Also at the age of nineteen I'm sure you know thats stuff not good for you but as your trainer I am expected to get you eating healthier so we are going to have to work on that. Okay so I just need you to tell me your side effects you get with your powers and then show me what you can do".

Marcus thought she looked young. “You’re only a few years older than I am,” he observed. “Are you even qualified to be a trainer yet?” Marcus had to say he was a little bit disgruntled that she’d gotten this far at this age, when Marcus was only a couple years shy of being able to drink and with no graduation date in sight. It made him feel stupid. Inadequate. Just like the old man always said he was.

“Uh-huh.” Not happening. Marcus liked his junk food, thank you very much. He sighed, reluctant to cooperate and answer her questions. “Maybe…makes my joints ache, I guess. And…my last trainer said I get moody when I shift…” Marcus didn’t know if it was true, but that probably explained some things. “I don’t wanna…I don’t like doing it.” Now he just sounded like a pouting kid.

Morgan nodded her head. "Yup! According to the training program to become a trainer I'm all ready to go".

Morgan raised an eyebrow as she wrote down what he told her. "You sure it just when you shift?" she teased playfully. She looked up at him quizzically. "I'm listening. Why don't want to do it"?

Marcus wasn’t sure he believed her. Just because someone passed their driving test didn’t mean they should be behind a wheel, right? Wasn’t this the same situation?

Whatever…

Marcus sent her a death glare at her “playful” teasing. This bitch sucked at this whole “bonding” and “relating” thing. He closed in on himself, even more uncomfortable and resistant. “Because I’m a guy. Do I need another reason?”
