Matty was happier than he could ever remember being. He was still riding on cloud nine on the fact he was actually in a relationship with a boy and God hadn't struck him down. It didn't even matter that he was going to be losing the boyfriend before September. It didn't even faze the young mimic that his friend had been hospitalized and refused to talk to him. It didn't matter that Matty had to find out about the hospitalization from his trainer and not his long term friend.
No. None of it mattered. Not at all. He was perfectly fine.
Matty finished removing the last batch of his cookies from the cooling tray, glancing over the fact he had just spent the last three hours of his after school time baking. How did he know that? Well, the multitude of cookies before him would prove that Matty was probably more upset then he was letting on. But, as was the Texan's motto, he shoved the upset feeling deep in the box inside him. He could dwell on it later.
Putting the freshest batch of double chocolate cookies (swirled with vanilla/white chocolate and double chocolate batter) into a box, he added it to the growing collection inside his backpack. Then he busied himself with cleaning up his expansive workstation until everything shone. If only to have something to kill time until he headed up to Rowan's room.
After a few more minutes of staring at the clean counters, Mathis picked up his backpack and pile of movies before leaving the classroom and heading up to the dorm. He paused by Dem's dorm before shaking his head and continuing onward, stopping when he reached his objection. With a sloppy grin pulling at his features he knocked quickly on the door so that someone would open up. Preferably Rowan, but he wouln't say no to Salem either. Really anyone but Lucas would do.
