Time Warp: Go Fish

Blue eyes scanned the aged hallways with a careful eye; there was history in the hotel, and the Brit tried to see it in the back of her mind, like a movie playing in her head. Who stood there before her, why did they choose the hotel, who were they? Who created the infrastructure that supported the building that she stood in all those years ago, and what were their stories? Those questions, while seemingly meaningless to some, were the basis to the creations she made that made it to the exhibit those few days ago. 

The Brunette had made it her mission on that idle day - before Carter had woken up - to explore the hotel as best as she could. She gave herself the early morning hours for her investigation as to avoid the in and out of the people who occupied the rooms. She had gone down each floor, and finally reached the lobby, deciding only then to take the elevator back up. 

Little did she know that they had scheduled maintenance on the elevator that morning to fix a few of the glitches that the elevator seemed to be having. 

Ooc: Yes, I know that this doesn't give much idea as to how he gets on the elevator, but I'm posting it anyway so I don't godmode. We can discuss it a bit more later xD

[Erik Stewart]

Erik had been up early to take a call. He was still playing with it when Aryana walked in, swiping his thumbs over the interface.

He was too tired right now to appreciate the architecture. Besides, he’d seen it before. You got used to opulence, like you did with everything else, despite whichever background you came from. If he’d taken the time to wonder how he’d ended up in Paris, hitching a ride up a gold-encrusted chute to the top floor, he might have marveled longer; as it was, the only thoughts he entertained were of the schedule he had laid before him and how he should get around it. At least for now. Erik was certain it’d all melt away once he was back under the covers, with Dom. He wondered if he were still there – Dom was an early riser.

Erik looked up long enough to snap out of his own head, his phone screen going dark. He found her, Aryana, whom he recognized immediately, and whose presence here must have been some strange product of coincidence.

He wasn’t sure about having her here. He wasn’t exactly looking stellar, as he’d just got up, with some clothes hastily thrown over himself: jeans and a sleeveless. His hair was loose and stuck out in odd places. Erik shifted, moving just slightly away from her when she settled in.

He offered her a mumbled, half-hearted greeting.
