So Tired, So Bored {TAG: Rowan}

Matty was bored. So very, very bored. Possibly more bored than he'd ever been before.

It was the night before The Talk and Mathis wasn't finding sleep coming to him.. He'd tried to lay in his bed but thoughts of what tomorrow would bring kept bubbling up. Would Dr. Neville know it was him that asked the questions? Would he be called out?

Eventually the Texan crawled out of bed and propped himself in front of his desk to start working on his homework, something that wasn't due for days yet. An hour passed before the green ink began to blur and Matty rubbed at his eyes. He still wasn't ready to sleep. But he didn't want to work on his math anymore.

So at 1:02 in the morning, Mathis pulled out his phone and texted the one person he thought would be awake. Minus of course Demetrius, who needed his sleep, and Cameron, who also needed his sleep.

Sleep was dumb. Sleep was cruel. Sleep was unnecessary. And sleep, oh sleep sounded so nice.... Rowan was not a fan of the recent problems he'd been having with sleeping. Starting a couple months ago and continuing on for this long, it was brutally taking a toll on him and he didn't even know the reason behind it.

So for him to be awake past 1:00 in the morning, wasn't unusual. Good god he wished it was unusual though. While he stayed awake, everyone else slept. Leaving him sitting in his bedroom with no warm body to keep him company and no one to talk to. Boredom ate him alive until morning. Slowly but surely, he was withering away to nothing...

...but then his phone beeped and he flailed a bit before looking at it.

Rowan smirked at the first one and gagged when he saw the picture attached to the second.

Matty chuckled a little at the use of his nickname. Though, had he been aware what his name is in Row's phone his reaction might have been different.

Rowan snorted. Then what could possibly be boring him? Math bored everybody! Or so Rowan thought anyway because it sure as hell bored him. Most things bored him that had to do with school though, so to say the least it wasn't shocking that he thought so poorly of the subject. He'd never understand Matty's love of math though. Never. Ever.

Frowning, Rowan hummed a bit, trying to figure out what he was going to say. He didn't want Matty to worry about him thinking he had some kind of disease or something. Insomnia was it? Eh, didn't matter anyway.

Matty blinked, shut his phone, opened it and blinked again. How could Rowan think math was boring? Math was the next best thing after chocolate! There was nothing better than math! Except... Cookies and Cam. Matty stifled a laugh at his own thought before he realized he should probably text back. But.. If he did they'd send time arguing about math and that didn't seem very productive. He'd have to show Rowan in person. Tomorrow.

Rowan scrunched his nose. Pills weren't his thing. Dates weren't either. Not anymore anyway. He'd had his fair share of a relationship for a while, the last thing he needed was to date someone and find out that he liked them more than just a casual fling, too. He was turning soft, definitely not what he wanted. Lucy was soft enough for the both of them in regards to that whole ordeal.

Okay so maybe he was toying with Matty a little, but it was only because the kid was too innocent for his own good, taking all of his lessons from another kid that probably knew about as little as he did. At least Rowan had legitimate experience with both genders. He knew what he was talking about.
