His body absorbs the light around him and stores if for short periods of time and he can release the light when he needs to. Usually by moving his body. The light comes out in a rainbow of neon colors, sometimes staying one color, sometimes changing. The light is usually projected from his hands and fingertips, though he can also push it out through his feet. He even managed to push it through the ends of his hair once. Sometimes, he forgets about releasing the light and it will come out of places like his eyes or ears. For the most part it only works when he's moving, but if he forgets, it just happens.
This power has no physical affect on anyone or anything, other than light itself. The light isn't hot, so it doesn't burn him, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have other drawbacks. At night, the light can just start from his eyes and it will keep him awake. Also, it gives him splitting headaches when it does this. Luckily that's not often. The bright and ever changing colors cause severe nausea. Also, the power does have time limits. Depending on how much energy is stored in him at the time. If a lot is stored, the lights can continue for up to 10 minutes. If there is a lack of energy, the best he can manages is 3 or occasionally 4 minutes.

General Appearance: Rune, much like his father, is a short skinny man. Standing at only 5ft 4in tall and weighing a little less than 120 lbs. His skin is sort of dark and his eyes always have dark circles under them, because he doesn't sleep well. His hair is usually some bright shade of pink or orange, or somewhere in between. He also doesn't smile a lot.
His clothing is definitely a bit of the sloppy side. Despite his foster parents trying their best to get him to wear nice things. Ratty jeans and tshirts are his typical style. Usually though, he can be found in a numerous variety of baggy sweaters, and hoodies. Rune doesn't like to wear jewelry, because he likes to move and dance, and they just make to much noise.
Personality: For the most part Rune is a fun and easy going type of guy. He lives for dancing and will go out of his way to do it. The boy is not above dancing down the street without a care in the world. That's pretty much his motto as well, "Dance Through Life". Rune is very much a free spirit and does what he likes to do. Also, he does like to help people and make them happy. Honestly, he's not the smartest guy in the world either, and for the most part he's okay with that.
Sometimes, he tries a bit to hard to have his own way. He can be down right stubborn at times. There is also a little bit of a temper hiding behind that sarcastic smirk of his. It rarely comes out, but it's still there. Rune can be a bit hard on himself from time to time. Be it with failing in school, or missing a step while dancing. The boy will beat himself up for days and agonize over it.Your VicesLikes:

Strengths: Dancing. Honestly that's the thing he's the best at. He's also pretty good with his powers, though he knows he could always get better with them. He's very eager to learn them as well. Rune has a total sense of self, and loves to just be free and happy.
Weaknesses: His dizzy spells can get kind of bad, even to the point where he can't dance for a few days. It gets him upset from time to time and he can loose his temper when it happens. Actual school work is something that he doesn't seem to get. He does try, but it's like his brain just wont focus on the task at hand.
Fears: That his father will try to come and take him from Hammel. That, and suddenly going deaf or not being able to dance.

Any Other Important People: his Aunt Maggie (deceased)HistoryRune's story starts when Raymond LeBeau, a rough and tumble kind of guy, met a sweet girl from England. A Miss Kathrine "Kitty" Martin, whom was a transfer student to America. She had no family in the states and fell for the handsome rogue instantly. It wasn't long before Kitty was with child. Normally, Raymond would have run. In fact, he had run a few times before that. Including running all the way from Vermont to California from his previous child baring duties. He knew about the girl, and that was enough for him, mainly because the woman had another man her life, and he did not feel like being pummeled into nothingness. He had decided to stay with Kitty however, because he felt for her. The only family she had left was an older sister, and his story was similar. Except, he had no one.
Sadly, he would have no one again. Kitty did not make it through childbirth, and the Cajun man had to take on the duty of father amongst his depression. He wasn't exactly the best father figure either. Between his drinking and random fits of rage, he was also constantly unemployed and was soon homeless. This did not go well for him with a now 4 year old Rune to take care of. So, in all his manly wisdom, he decided to steal the most expensive car he could find and try to fence it. The foolish man went straight for a Jaguar and was caught. This meant that poor little Rune had no one. Well, almost, there was his mother's sister; Maggie.
Despite some trepidations, Maggie took the young boy with her to England and tried her best to raise him as her own child. She was a slightly older woman, already in her late 40's when Rune was born. Even with all best wishes that he wouldn't, Rune finally asked about his parents. He was only 9 at the time, but she had to tell him the truth. Maggie saw no use in telling him anything different. Rune actually took it well. Of course he was sad he would never know his mother, he was glad he had his Aunt. He loved her just like a mother. As far as his father went, Rune didn't really care if ever saw him again.
He would though. One day, Raymond showed up at Maggie's door. Fresh out of prison and close to Rune's 10th birthday. The young man wanted nothing to do with the man, and was terrified he was going to take Rune away from Maggie. Raymond didn't, instead he told Rune that he wanted to stay, get a job, turn over a new leaf and try to be a family again. His young heart believed his father, but it turned sour quickly. It started with small things, like Rune hearing his dad talking to people on the phone about things young ears shouldn't hear. It was only a year before Raymond had tried to steal another expensive car and was put back in prison.
To counteract Rune's little outbursts from being betrayed, Maggie enrolled him in dance classes. It worked wonderful, and Rune actually really enjoyed it. He loved the music and learning the moves, it kept his mind occupied. At 14 Rune was still in these classes and still loving every minute of it. One day however, an odd thing happened. Brightly colored lights started to stream from Rune's finger tips as he spun in place during a song. The moment he noticed, he began to panic. The teacher, being a meta herself, quickly explained to him what was going on and it was nothing to be afraid of.
A week later a recruiter from Kocher haute école pour les surdoués, showed up at Maggie's house and two dayss later Rune was shipped away to Switzerland. He liked it there and continued his dancing and learning his power. All the while never knowing that his Aunt was sick. She never told anyone, because she didn't want them to worry. This sadly meant that shortly after Rune's 17th birthday, Maggie passed away. Not before telling him of his half siblings in America. Then and there Rune begged to be transferred to Hammel, and they obliged and even found him a foster family.
