Well, it was inevitable, he supposed. There was that glimmer of hope in his mind that he could at least know who he was being placed with, or have some sort of say. In the defense of whoever was responsible for this, though, he'd probably just wind up being placed alone. He was a judgmental person. And if everybody in the school knew it at this point, good for them, it'd encourage them to tread lightly instead of getting up in his face and speaking ten miles faster than their mind could reasonably process. He had a plan laid out in his mind, for when he entered. No doubt they were warned ahead of time, and would want to greet him. (Ugh.)
He had everything in one trip. A few cases for clothes, his messenger bag for school related things, and one more case for his heavy collection of books. He followed the doors. Five-oh-one. It was a few more doors down, and part of him just wanted to sleep outside in protest. Five-oh-two. Still no excitement, no drive. Three, four, five... He turned at the next door, it was a signal that he was there, the lack of clicking in the case wheels. He took a deep breath, and opened the door. Casually waving at his roommates, he busied himself with unpacking, instead.
He didn't even take long to survey the place or see what anyone else had or was doing. Instead, he folded a large collection of regular white crew neck t-shirks, a couple of jackets, many pairs of dark pants. He wasn't going to even go on requesting that they don't touch his things, they actually /seemed/ old enough. Though, if most of the student body was any indication, that really didn't mean anything, and he'd probably have to run over it in a few minutes, anyways.
"I'm Andreas." He decided to disclose.
"And, obviously, I was transferred here because the students in the other dorm didn't like me so much. So." The next bag he opened were his books. And they were large, thick ones. Bricks of paper bound by felt, or leather. Anything from the Lord of the Rings to the works of Nietzsche, to historical accounts of many figures, like Charlemagne or Gaius Julius Caesar. He even brought a few board games along, lined at the bottom. Strategies, mostly.
He didn't stop to give them his full attention, he'd talk to them as they spoke, but that was about it for now. Socializing with new people wasn't exactly on his list of skills or priorities.
