Hot For Teacher (Jay/Pollo)

Joy, another training session. Okay, not really another one, it was actually Rune's first one at Hammel to be exact. The boy always hated training sessions. As far as he was concerned his power didn't really need training. It wasn't harmful, it was just his body projecting bright lights. What was so hard about that? It wasn't just the "useless" training, the trainers themselves were normally jerks. At least the one he had at Kocher was. Constantly yelling at him. Okay, so maybe he did leave his headphones in during training, so what? It helped him focus. That was part of the deal right? Focus?

All these thoughts ran through his brain as he ruffled his bright hair and plopped down on the floor of the training room. Headphones in and music blaring as loudly as possible, naturally. It was just to kill time before "teach" got their. Then, his slightly wet umbrella caught his attention and an idea occurred to him. What better way to kill time, then with a decent dance. Something simple really. Standing up he moved to the center of the room, umbrella in tow. 

Clicking his music player a few times, he found the exact song he was looking for and hit play. It was just for fun, but he still got lost in the music and the dancing, ignoring the fact he may have been slinging a little of the water from his umbrella on the floor. He did however, have enough concentration to let his powers work a little. As he moved very pale blue streaks of like came from his fingertips and he just kept right on dancing, oblivious to world. 

[Jayden "Jay" Hersch]

Jay had been working as a trainer for several years now, and he liked to think he’d gotten a reputation for being a pretty decent one. One that knew what he was doing and was successful at it, but also didn’t make his students miserable while training (well, most of the time – not all of them particularly enjoyed his meditation part of the training, even though he thought it was one of if not the most crucial parts of training). He also typically incorporated dance into the lessons somehow as well, often before meditation so his student was a little worn out and better able to focus on breathing and clearing their minds (theoretically).

It still always made him a little nervous and curious to get a new student, though. Jay was still young by trainer standards at twenty-five, and had plenty more experience to go through before he could be considered all that knowledgeable about the subject. And he still tried to keep up as much an appearance of calm and cool as he could manage with new students… Until they found out what he was really like, inevitably.

He tried to focus on his walking and make sure he didn’t trip over thin air as he was apt to do as he strolled towards the training room, humming to a song on his MP3 player. It wasn’t until he got closer to the room that he heard music already playing. Curiosity piqued, he forgot his concentration and stepped across the doorway, also forgetting that there was a slight raise in the floor there. Consequently, he stumbled for a brief moment before he got to his feet, straightening quickly as though nothing had happened. The water on the floor hadn’t helped either.

Well, there was a show of the kid’s powers, he thought, mildly impressed. Jay held a folder with Rune’s information and background in one hand as he unplugged himself from his music player with the other. As soon as the student noticed him and stopped dancing, Jay would smile at him and offer a wave. “You’re Rune, correct?” he asked, flipping through some pages. “I’m Jayden Hersch, but please call me Jay. I’m going to be your new trainer.” The dancer stepped forward and offered a hand, still smiling pleasantly. “We’ll take it light today, so don’t worry about too much, alright?”
