It was always a small moment of triumph when one cleared the lengthy cafeteria lines. Eric was barely able to prevent a loud "whoop" from escaping his lips as he stepped away from the food counter. Pausing for a moment, Eric glanced eagerly down at the food resting on his tray. The nature of his superpowers gave Eric a huge spike in his metabolism, and he was hungry as hell.
First, however, Eric needed to find a place to sit. Back at his old school, Eric had no problem finding places to sit. Here at Hammel, Eric imagined that he would still have little trouble finding a spot. It truly was a gift.
Eyeing an empty table, Eric decided to perform a little experiement. He had been at Hammel for little over a week, and had met a large amount of people. He wanted to see just how many of the people he had met actually liked him enough to sit down beside him. Not that it matter too much, he was just curious. Eric might even meet a couple of other people too.
Setting his tray down on the empty table, Eric squeezed himself into his seat. Licking his lips, Eric picked up his roast beef sandwich and took an enthusiastic bite.
