Teleporting is for Pranksters (OPEN)

Harmony was positive she had the best ability ever.

There were so many lame idiots around this school with even lamer powers. Seriously...winged feet? Ink manipulations? Neon light projection? Not to mention all of the freaks who could get into your head. Though she sometimes wondered if it would be nice to mess with people's minds, she was mostly just creeped out by the idea.

So even though she was stuck at this lame school, at least she wasn't stuck as shapeshifting into a blue whale for the rest of her life.

Instead she could actually use her power for some fun. Like teleporting into a bunch of classrooms and duct taping air horns to the wall by the door, so they would go off when someone opened the door all the way.

She had been at if for the better part of two hours. She started in the training rooms, worried that someone might have a session there early in the morning. And now she was almost done with the classrooms but not with much time to spare. She hadn't realized just how much tape she would need to secure each air horn to the wall, but it was going to be so worth it.

She was just finishing up, when she heard someone out in the hallway. She had been using her power a lot that morning and was overtired from it. So instead of teleporting to safety, she hid in the back of the classroom. At least now she would be able to see the look on the person's face when they came in and set of the horn.

Ramona didn't live at Hammel... so if anything she was usually a little late in the mornings. She only lived a short walk away, so it was an even shorter run for her, but the girl usually opted to keep pace with her siblings who had to mosey on down to school as well. Today, however, Mojo ran ahead, because she had realized the night before that she had left her math notebook in one of her classrooms the day before. This meant the girl would have to retrace her steps, and hopefully find it before first period started.

She had stopped by Miss Wyatt's office to see if she would be willing to check the lost and found for her. Mojo's interpreter was happy to help, but nobody had handed the notebook into the main office. So the child was off to check all of her classrooms, starting with 1st period and working her way through the day. With her hair in french braids, and a worn out denim backpack littered with comic themed pins and buttons, Mojo would have probably looked like the perfect victim to the prank which was in the works.

Unfortunately for the perpetrator, that was not the case. When Mojo got to her classroom, she pushed the door open, and just as planned, the handle off the door hit the doorknob and a loud sound was produced. The problem was, Mojo certainly didn't hear it. So she simply walked into the room without a flinch, a jump, or any sort of reaction. She hadn't even really realized that the resistance from opening the door happened far before it reached the wall. Ramona just walked into the classroom, and over to her seat by the window, happy to see that her notebook had been left there after all, and someone had just tucked it under the seat.

Harmony was stifling a giggle as the young girl burst into the room. Though she was expecting the noise, Harmony actually jumped a bit when the horn went off. But for some stupid reason, her victim just kept right on walking.

Enraged, Harmony burst out from her hiding place and stomped her way over to where the girl was standing by the window. "What the heck is wrong with you?" Harmony shouted, gesturing wildly from the girl to the door and back again.

Obviously, Harmony didn't deal well with disappointment. And she had spent hours on this prank. And she had gotten to opportunity to actually witness it in action and...nothing. Not a jump. Not a scream. Nothing!

"Seriously are you deaf or something?" Harmony continued, not actually realizing that this was a strong possibility. No, she was certain this girl had somehow outsmarted her and was reveling in the fact she had spoiled Harmony's prank.

When the girl started yelling, Mojo, once again didn't react. She just set her backpack on the table and opened it up to place the notebook safely inside where it belonged. Zipping her bag back up, and throwing it back over her shoulder, Mojo figured she should probably let Miss Wyatt know she had found what she was looking for, and took a step away from where she was standing.

If it was a reaction the girl in the room wanted, she would finally receive it. Because when Mojo finally looked up and spotted the girl, she jumped and a hand flew to her chest as her pulse skyrocketed. She hadn't expected anyone to be in any of the classrooms this early, and the fact that she had walked all the way across the room without noticing the girl before hand definitely led to a scare when Mojo finally saw the perpetrator.

She took a moment to catch her breath, and then Mojo laughed a bit. Seeing the slightly agitated face on the other girl, Mojo thought perhaps she had scared the other girl as well! Sorry Mojo signed, while mouthing the word in an exaggerated fashion as she often did. She pat her chest again and took a deep breath as if to say 'I got scared too!' and chuckled a bit. It was still completely over her head why the other girl in the room was upset.

Harmony was starting to get really mad when suddenly the other girl turned around and finally noticed her. She couldn't help but laugh at the others girl's reaction, finally glad that she had gotten the reaction she had planned for, even if it wasn't the one she'd put so much work into preparing.

Still she was a little upset about her plans being ruined, and being so obviously ignored. "Hey! Moron! Are you stupid or just...?" Harmony started to asked, but stopped when the girl started signing. "...deaf. Oh."

Harmony wasn't sure what to do now. Sure, she had no problem pointing out the world's flaws and venting her anger whenever she felt the need, but it was a bit different when the person was deaf. Maybe being friends with Tomer was starting to rub off on her. Or maybe she just didn't know if the other girl would even understand what she had to say.

"Uh..you...uh...read lips?" Harmony asked, over exaggerating her words...and yes, yelling them a bit. Because surely that would help.
