General Appearance: Justin doesn’t think he’s overly picky about his appearance. In reality while he doesn’t care about wearing brand names or the latest fashion, it does matter to him that he looks put together and like he cares. His clothes are always clean and wrinkle free. Some of his suits are a little patched up here and there, but patched well so that you can’t really notice. His hair is kept on the shorter side. On the weekends, Justin does dress down, wearing rolled up plaid button up shirts or old T-shirts he should have thrown out in high school.
He wears bifocals to help with reading now and then, but he’s still struggling to admit to himself that he needs them, so sometimes he just does a lot of squinting. Though his wife died twenty years ago, he still wears his wedding ring. That and a watch are the only jewelry he owns.
Justin carries himself well, not one for slouching or looking to relaxed while in the courtroom or his office. This is something left over from his childhood and not something he does knowingly or actively. He does have a habit of cracking his knuckles loudly when he’s immersed in his work, but doesn’t like this about himself and stops himself when he realizes he’s doing it.
Justin is a runner and likes to keep in good shape, but he’s not trying to be super buff of have a six-pack. He just wants to be healthy.
Personality: Justin is a very black and white kind of man and he doesn’t allow room in his life for grey areas. Once he’s made up his mind about something, it is near impossible to get him to see it any other way, or to stop him from any action he has decided to take. He works hard in everything he does and believes that everyone else should have to work just as hard. In his world, there is no such thing as a free lunch, nor should their be. It’s not that he doesn’t believe in giving back to his community or giving aid when needed, but it takes a lot to be deserving in his eyes. He does not appreciate people just expecting they should have something because they deserve it.
Justin has a very high work ethic. He also believes that a giving his word means something. So if he tells you he will get the job done, he will. And most likely he will do his best to get the job done even before it needs to be done.
Though Justin can be seen as a very hard man, he does have his more light-hearted side. This is a side of him only seen after office hours have passed and he’s had a bit of time to unwind. But he can joke and smile with his pals, he just believes that there is a time for work and a time for play and they two shouldn’t overlap.
Justin is not one to let his emotions sway his judgement and considers himself to be extremely clear headed and logical. Though in truth, he sometimes lets his anger get the best of him, he has never been violent.Your VicesLikes:

So even though his parents had planned on a big family, they only had one son. Though Justin was an only child, he was never spoiled. His father, a cop, was careful to make sure that Justin learned to follow the rules, respect his elders, and work hard to earn any sort of rewards. Justin’s father was a hard man and believe in tough love and discipline that sometimes involved a belt. And though some might call that abusive, Justin never felt that way. He knew his father loved him and just wanted to make sure that his son didn’t turn out like the people he locked up in jail.
Justin was an average student. He made friends easy enough when he wanted to and did well enough in school to get B's C's and the occasional A without trying to hard. He was a bit of a bully sometimes, but he saw it as teaching the kids who didn't fit in right how to be better at it. And since his parents never punished him or even called him out on it, he saw nothing wrong with it.
He graduated high school with the plan to join the force like his old man and take care of the bad guys. And that's what he did for a few years. But after a while he got tired of seeing the same old punks all the time. It seemed like he would arrest someone and they would get a light smack on the wrist and be back at it the next month. Even those who did get convicted and sent to jail never seemed to stay long enough to learn their lesson. Justin was struggling with this realization when his father started to get sick. It was then that his father confided in him that he'd always wanted something more for his son.
After his father's death, Justin started college with the plan to worktowards getting his law degree. It was in college that he met Hannah, the love of his life. The two got married after he finished undergraduate school. Their marriage was a happy one. Hannah supported him throughout law school and the two had plans to start a family after his graduation from there. But their happiness was short lived. Just after Justin graduated and passed his bar exam, the two of them moved to Vermont where Hannah had grown up to settle down and start their lives together. They were just starting to settle into their new house and lives when Hannah died in a car crash because of a drunk driver.
After Hannah's death, Justin threw himself into his work. He became even more anal about his organization and the belief that those who had done wrong deserved a just punishment. And those who were victims deserved justice.
Justin also moved away after Hannah's death, hoping that a change in scenery would help him to move on. He picked the Pilot Ridge area because there was an opening for a district attorney and because he had never visited that area or even heard of that town name. Once he got there however, he wasn't sure he would last. Though Justin had met meta's before and even worked closely with one that he knew of during an internship, Pilot Ridge had a larger collection of them that he'd ever imagined existed in a single town. And after a few months on the job, he found that they often got away with things because the troubles their powers caused was excused away for one reason or another. Of course this didn't fit well with Justin's view of justice and punishment, so he usually fought against it as best he could.
Since Justin has been in the area for some time now, he's gotten close with like minded people in with ideals of upholding the law and justice despite a defendant's unusual circumstances. Though he has yet to use these connections for anything more than a favor now and then, he feels at some point they will surely pay off.Roleplay ExamplePlease see Harmony, John/Jake, Stefan, Zeb, or GradyWhat About You?Name: Abe
