The BasicsName: Sunar Chugani
Nicknames: nope
Age: 16
Orientation: Bisexual
Desired Rank/Job: Student
Powers: dimensional storage. His storage capacity is rather limited, as whatever he stores has to be 10” by 10” or under (and not alive, of course), and he can only store three items at a time. Occasionally he loses something he stored in another dimension, which frustrates him as he mostly uses his power to store sketchpads and graphite pencils. If something is lost it doesn’t count towards his three item quota, fortunately.
Each time he tries to retrieve an item he becomes sore and tired, as if somehow he’s been carrying something much heavier in exchange for storing his items elsewhere, and if he tries to retrieve an item more than twice a day he becomes so sore that crying sounds like a very good reaction sometimes. Storing items likewise can only be done twice a day without resulting in irritating side effects, although with storage those side effects are a mild headache the first time and a much more severe (but not migraine level) one the second time. Anything over that will result in a migraine, and leave him curled up in the dark after that, and so he doesn’t bother.

Any Scars? nothing out of the ordinary
General Appearance: At 5'10’ he’s just about average in height, with a slim build. He usually slouches in that self-confidant shoulder's back way that characterizes Fosse dancers and models and other people who think they're sexy.
He dresses in casual, comfortable clothing -- he prefers light-weight clothing, even after so many years spent in the chillier climes of Vermont. Although he has been forced to adapt by cruel reality, the moment there is sunshine again he breaks out thin t-shirts and short-sleeves.
He keeps his dark hair cut short, and if you get close enough you can probably smell the hair gel he uses to sweep it upwards. He likes to think that he looks just-got-out-of-bed-casual, but he’s not fooling anyone.
Personality: Sunar is naturally buoyant and cheerful to a degree that can be rather annoying to those not inclined to the same level of optimistic enthusiasm. Whatever happens is a grand adventure to be relished and circumstances are not nearly so miserable as they may seem. As far as he is concerned life is Good. It isn't that he doesn't realize all the Bad in the world, but he doesn't dwell on it. There's much that is bad, to be sure, but there is just as much that is good, so why only take into consideration the bad? Worry won't change anything, after all, but a smile may make all the difference!
In the vein of "It's not so bad" however, he sometimes ignores actual problems rather than dealing with them, because dealing with them means acknowledging that maybe the Bad is outweighing the Good, and he doesn't want to give to entertain that might even temporarily be the case. As such, he tends to allow things to fester, and to suppress bad feelings about people. If his bad feelings are about a person and it gets to a point he can't ignore it anymore while in their presence then he will do his best to avoid ever seeing them again, even if the person is someone he likes and they could have easily fixed the problem by talking about it.
He's also lacking in personal boundaries and has no trouble at all approaching people he doesn't know or tackling people or generally being very physical. Also, he's an incessant talker and can go on and on about absolutely nothing of consequence, so if he is allowed he will talk for hours with utter disregard to whether or not his audience is actually interested in what he has to say. If they're listening and not saying anything to the contrary then they must be utterly fascinated with his obviously scintillating conversation, after all.Your VicesLikes:

Mother: Neela Chugani
Siblings: Indukala Chugani (18)
Any Other Important People: Cousin Ravi (17)HistorySunar’s parents immigrated to California from Gujarat, India in the nineties. Both Vijay and Neela were in the IT field, and there were (it seemed) plentiful jobs in America. A few years after they arrived in California they had a daughter, Indukala. Sunar came along not long after.
He spent most of his childhood traveling back and forth between California and India, and as such is capable of holding a conversation in Sindhi (as his family are Sindhi), Gujarati (as that is where his family is from) and some very, very basic Hindi that he largely picked up from Hindi pop. (He cannot, however, write in anything but English, although he can read enough Gujarati to follow simple instructions or street signs). He’s especially close to his cousin Ravi, who is very close in age to him. Although they don’t live on the same continent they keep in touch over skype and tumblr.
From an early age he discovered two great loves -- gymnastics and art. His parents enrolled his sister in gymnastics largely to give her something to do over the summer, but as Sunar tried to imitate her lessons (and without an instructor present, no less) he was soon enrolled alongside her. And as soon as he was old enough to pick up a crayon he was compelled to draw all over any paper that is in front of him. He doodles on his school notes (usually the pictures are at least somewhat related to the topics being discussed) and in the margins of his tests and on forms that he is supposed to be filling out...and whenever he passes the art section in the store he has to try very hard not to purchase a whole new box of pretty coloring utensils. OOOOH COLORS!!
He didn't realize that he had manifested, because losing pencils and markers was certainly nothing new. It was only when a recruiter showed up at his family's door two days later that he found out that he was meta-human.
Sunar thought that Vermont was too far away -- and far too cold -- but he was given no choice. He spent his first month sulking terribly, but soon enough his naturally extroverted nature took over. He didn’t want to hole up in his dorm forever.
He has only gone back to India twice since coming to Hammel, which he deeply regrets; he misses Ravi, and would like to see him again in person. But he has friends here, and perhaps he will be able to persuade his cousin to visit Pilot Ridge some day.
He practices Advaita Vedanta, which is a school of Vedanta Hinduism. As such, he tries very hard to practice good works and to be satisfied no matter the circumstances around him. This is not always easy for a teen boy to do, even one whose natural personality is already rather laidback and cheerful.Roleplay ExamplenoWhat About You?Name: Dryope
