General Appearance: Adrian is not tall, standing at 5'6 which is made worse when he slouches. To try and avoid the short lanky kid cliché, he goes to the gym on a regular basis in order to gain muscle tone. Even then, he's still slight, with a little definition to his arms and nothing else. Adrian wears his shoulder length dark brown hair down, in its naturally wavy state. At almost all times, he wears a hat of some sorts; usually a beanie or snapback. Adrian has expressive features, wearing whatever emotion he currently feels visibly on his face, which is a pain when it comes to lying or downplaying how he feels.
Style is something Adrian pays little to no attention to. He'll be found wearing a hat most days, paired with jeans, a t-shirt and some sort of layer over top on most days. Casual would be the best way to describe his wardrobe. He would rather sleep than fuss too much over his appearance.
Personality: Adrian is the type of person who feels emotions intensely. When he's happy, he's ecstatic and when he's upset, he's agitated. He wears his emotions for the world to see begrudgingly and would prefer if his emotions weren't as visible as they were. Adrian has been compared to an open book when it comes to feelings, but often fails to see these responses in other people. He likes to think he is a logical and reasonable person, and for the most part is, unless his emotions disrupt the natural flow.
He tends to be withdrawn from the world, which Adrian blames as an involuntary response to his depression. It was always easier to avoid everyone else when he was feeling numb instead of making everyone else worry. Now that he's older, Adrian finds it a little easier to put himself out there and be more outgoing if the situation calls for it but still prefers his solitude.
Adrian is a supportive friend who doesn't mind listening to anyone if they need someone. Friends, students; he doesn't discriminate and is incredibly patient. He doesn't try to offer advice for personal reasons, assuming that it's not his place to and in case his advice ends up backfiring. He's loyal to those who he's grown close to over the years, especially his family.Your VicesLikes: Statistics/probability

Strengths: Adrian has a natural inclination towards numbers and math problems. He's fluent in both English and Spanish due to his familial upbringing and unwaveringly loyal to those who are in his social circle.
Weaknesses: Adrian is terrible at connecting with others on a meaningful and emotional level, despite being a sensitive person himself. At times, he can be overly sensitive and tends to react according to his emotions.
Fears: Adrian fears the future and worries about his depression slipping out of control, again.
Secret: Only Adrian's older sister knows about his depression. He's diligent to hide the medication he has to take to help manage it so nobody else finds out.Family TiesFather: Jorge Garcia-Mendez, 55, co-owner and chef of a Mexican restaurant in Flagstaff
Mother: Sofia Reyes-Saldana, 50, waitress at the family restaurant
Siblings: Alejandra Garcia-Reyes, 28, elementary school teacher in Pilot Ridge and meta-human
Manuel Garcia-Reyes, 25, full time employee at the family restaurant
Any Other Important People: N/AHistoryHailing from a family of five from Flagstaff Arizona, Adrian is the youngest child from the Garcia-Reyes family. His parents met in a grocery store, of all places, and quickly fell in love. Once married, the couple opened up a restaurant with one of Jorge's business friends that focused on Mexican cuisine. Though the work was hard, they were determined to keep the business running no matter what. As they settled into a routine, Jorge and Sofia first had Alejandra, then Manuel, then Adrian. The three siblings grew up close to one another, as family was extremely important they learned from their parents early on. When they weren't at school, the kids were usually at the restaurant, keeping familial ties close.
Adrian had never heard of the term meta-human before until Alejandra's manifestation. He was eight years old when it happened; she was fourteen. The entire family was confused and upset at the fact that she would be sent to go to school in Vermont, with promises of weekly phone calls to maintain contact. A few years passed, life resuming as normal, until Adrian's fourteenth birthday. He was in math class, working on a set of problems as his mind started to wander. He started wondering about the statistics of daily things, like how likely it was Mr. Thompson would assign homework. Something like 97% since he was a strict teacher. Wilfully, he wondered what if the chances worked better for the students. That night, there was no math homework. This pattern of seemingly random and lucky events continued until a recruiter showed up five days later to the Garcia-Reyes household, again.
The ability turned out to be probability manipulation. In those five days, it had gotten out of control, with Adrian as the sole reason for all the changes in probability. That night, he said goodbye to his family in Flagstaff and moved to Pilot Ridge, where his sister was in university studying to become a teacher. For Adrian, the new start threw him off balance. He couldn't quite figure out how to manage everything; powers training and classes and homework. Eventually, he got to a point where he stopped caring about everything and his grades began to plummet, except in math. He became apathetic and failed almost all his classes. Adrian hit his lowest point at sixteen, where he refused to leave his dorm room for a week. One of his dorm mates grew concerned and let school officials know what was going on.
Soon after, Adrian was diagnosed with depression, which explained his recent behaviour. He was given resources to help out, including counselling sessions and medication to hopefully help manage his depression a little easier. It took some time, but he was finding it much easier to deal with. He became less withdrawn; socializing with his friends again instead of insisting on being alone. The last couple years of high school were spent trying to recover from his low, without pushing himself to that point again. At the age of nineteen, Adrian graduated from Hammel with no plans for the future. It already took so much effort to hold himself together in the present; how could he manage to find something more for himself?
He moved in with his sister during the transitional period. College didn't seem like an option at this point. Adrian worked odd jobs, nothing with any job or financial security, which made him feel like a burden on his sister. He almost moved back to work at the family restaurant when an opening for a dorm monitor at Hammel grabbed his attention. It offered decent pay and a place to stay, which was more than enough for Adrian. He applied and was offered the position at the age of twenty. Two years have gone by and Adrian likes to think things have gone well so far. He's not the best at maintaining an air of authority but he tries. The job keeps him busy and for the time being, that was enough.Roleplay Exampleyay. What About You?Name: Deb
