Powers: Winged Flight: side-effects include early-onset osteoporosis as well as back pains due to the wings. Due to the large wings Cam has, she needs a particular place to get a good take-off. Preferable areas are places high up, such as balconies or roofs. Whilst she can take off from sprinting or from the ground, it is pretty exhausting since Cam needs to beat her wings multiple times in order to obtain good height.
Cam has a pair of large, powerful owl wings emerging from her back. Similar to those of a snowy owl, their colouring is pure white with black markings. The tertial and covert feathers are white with dense ebony stripe-like markings along the vane. The primary and secondary flight feathers are pure white, some having a black tip. The underside of the wings are also pure white and incredibly soft, allowing for silent flight when Cam is in the air. Also great for hugs.
There are a few downfalls as well as benefits from having large bird wings.
The downfalls include; they can be hard to wash, meaning more time is taken during bathing to get them properly clean. If they aren't washed properly, they can get itchy. The wings can get sore from being folded for too long, needing to be stretched at least every hour or two. Relaxed back muscles are a thing from the past, since the wings need constant support.
The benefits include; the wings being very strong, able to lift her body weight with relative ease. Also flight, which is a bonus. Due to the strength of the wings, they can be used to bat away attackers however, this has the risk of damaging them by breaking a bone or losing flight feathers.
Whilst Cam is very fast in flight and is good at manoeuvring her direction, braking is a problem. Whilst she can slow down to a stop, if Cam has to stop instantly; she tends to lose flight stability and crash lands. This has resulted in broken bones but nothing too serious.

General Appearance:
Cam has long dark brown hair and a fair complexion. Her eyes are hazel, a faded ring of green circling the outer edge of the rich brown iris. She has a slim-skinny build that helps her wings when she's in flight. Quite short, standing at 5"0. Cam is considered very pretty, though she tends to scare people off by accidentally hitting them in the face with her wings. Said wings are rather large; when folded the tallest part is just above the top of her head whilst the tips of the primary feathers brush below her hips.
As said in the powers:

When her wings are folded, Cam can be very clumsy with them; knocking things off shelves, spilling things, breaking pots, etc...
Cam usually wears a blue, black and green patterned flannel shirt with large holes cut in the back for her wings to stretch and move. Her trousers are tattered jeans, though during hot weather she can seen wearing denim shorts. Most of her shirts have large holes in the back for her wings, making borrowing Cam's shirts nearly impossible. The edges of the holes are sewed up like button holes to keep them from fraying.
Cam always wears a necklace with a pocket watch-like pendant dangling from it. The pendant doesn't tell the time, but the design was similar to that of a watch. It was circular, with a twisting carved design around the outer edge. Behind a flat glass dome were multiple gears that slowly rotated for no real purpose. A single planet with an outer ring hovered motionless near to top right of the pendant.
Personality:
Cam is a quiet and relaxed person, though she tends to be quite shy around intimidating figures. Keeping quiet is what she does best, being forced to speak to a group of people unnerves her. However, she isn't anxious. The brunette simply prefers to listen to people than be listened to. Cam is also the kind of person to spend more times with book than actual people, although she still enjoys some social interactions.
Grooming her wings is Cam's favourite hobby besides flying and drawing, and she becomes elated when someone else offers to do it for her. Due to their size, cleaning the wings can be difficult and Cam cannot see certain parts of the wing; so it is a great relief to her when a friend offers to do it for her. Her wings also seem to respond to her emotions. When she is scared, they flutter heavily. When she is embarrassed, they fold around and hide her. When she is angry, they spread slightly, angle in and tense. This kind of thing carries on.
To enemies, Cam becomes very very quiet, eerily so. She will ignore them if they say anything but the second they get within range BAM, hit in the face with a feathery wing. Which hurts a lot more than it sounds. If they are physical enemies, Cam avoids them at all costs. The second she hears them coming, she's off. More broken bones isn't something she desires. If she isn't in the mood to be quiet, or when she and the enemy are alone, Cam can unleash a mouthful of venom that is very unlike her.
To crushes, Cam is a flustered bundle of nerves. Unsure of how to respond to certain emotions, Cam really struggles when around people she likes. However, these feelings slowly grow after spending an amount of time with the person she is crushing on, although looks can intrigue her they won't spark anything romantic alone. Any Other Important People: None.HistoryCameron Wilder is an orphan. Her father is unknown and she has never expressed the desire to find out. Her mother, Bethany Wilder, died when Cam was about four years old, so the teen hasn't a lot to remember her by; except for a smile and a laugh. No other family was found, at least none capable of looking after the young girl. Hammel accepted her from social services when she first began to sprout her wings and Cameron doesn't miss being passed from foster family to foster family. Her mother had always interested her though, leaving her with a chain necklace and no memories.
Despite her predicament, Cameron stayed in school and rarely showed any trouble as she grew up, despite the odd snap at social workers here and there. However, she did show certain reluctance to bond with people since she rarely stayed in one home for a long period of time. The fact that one of her foster family were arrested for drug misuse whilst she was staying with them did not help this reluctance. Cam also tended to be too quiet, making people's jobs difficult. Friends were few but close, and so Cam was pretty content with her life. Her bones broke more often than most kids, but others labelled that to her being accident-prone.
When Cam was about fourteen, her wings started to sprout. At first, they were small stubs which rapidly began to grow; causing her back to hurt. Of course, it worried and scared Cam instantly so she went to the social workers; intrigued but pained by this event. The second they found out, the services contacted Hammel and were able to secure her a place at the school. Cam was both reluctant, scared and curious. Reluctant to leave her few friends behind, scared of this new place and these new things and curious about what would happen to her from then on.
It took almost a year for her wings to grow and develop enough for flight. Cam quickly grew fond of their beautiful markings and clear colouring. They were muscular and narrow, capable of reaching fast speeds rather quickly. However, it was difficult to manoeuvre them and Cam had to re-model a few of her clothes in order for the wings to fit in them comfortably.
During her time at Hammel, Cam has sent a lot of her time studying, drawing or practising flight. Sadly, this meant little time to socialise so Cam is now slightly awkward around unstable social interactions such as fights or crying people. Her grades have been above average and her trainer/those that observe her flight have said that Cam has greatly improved over the last few years.
