The BasicsName: Cera Callista Lamprey
Nicknames: C.C. (by her sister)
Age: 19
Orientation: Bisexual
Desired Rank/Job: College student
Powers: size alteration
Cera is able to alter the size of her body. She can’t alter any body part individually; she can only scale up or down in proportion, and she really only has four choices of size (other than her natural state):
The very smallest she can alter to is 4.5 inches tall, which she refers to as her “pocket size” state.
Her next size up is 48 inches (or 4 feet) tall, although she doesn’t like to use this one because it makes her feel young in a way that being only a few inches tall doesn’t.
On the higher end she can alter her size to be 72 inches (or 6 feet) tall, which she sometimes enjoys doing if she’s feeling vulnerable.
And finally, her largest height is a towering 96 inches (or eight feet) which she really only does voluntarily if she feels the need to intimidate someone.
Whatever clothes she is wearing also scales, but if she takes something off while in a different size then it will remain at that size.
Using her power more than a handful of times a day leads to joint pain and stiffness. When she was a relatively newly manifested student at Hammel the side effects specialist at the time, a lovely woman named Dr. Prideaux whom Cera idolized, told her she would have a predisposition to osteoporosis, and so Cera takes calcium pills daily and has regular check ups.

General Appearance:
Cera is a cutie patootie with her bubblegum pink hair and pastel colored top. She’s slightly tall for an American woman -- 5’7”, in fact, and very slender -- although if she keeps on eating junk food all the time that’s not going to last.
She has very fair skin that burns when exposed to too much sun; as a result she prefers cloudier climates, although not necessarily colder ones. She likes tank tops and shorts too much to only want to live in the winter.
She generally doesn’t wear jewelry. On a rare occasion she’ll throw on some bangles, or a simple string necklace, but that’s the exception rather than the rule. She also keeps her makeup simple most of the time such that people who don’t really know anything about makeup frequently tell her how nice it is that she doesn’t wear any. She absolutely does wear it, though -- she just prefers to keep it light and easy.
Personality: Cera is a friendly and vivacious young woman who only wants for everyone around her to be happy. If she can elicit a smile from someone then she feels as if she has done her job; if someone nearby is unhappy and can’t be comforted, however, she tends to internalize this as a failure on her part.
She’s also very trusting, believing the best about everyone even long after evidence has been presented to her to the contrary. She’s always going to give just one more chance, only one more! As a result she has difficulty cutting toxic people out of her life.
She never did very well in school due to dyslexia and to an aversion to sitting still and listening to boring school work, but she’s very very good with other people’s emotions. She can usually intuit what other people’s boundaries are and does her best to maintain that. She enjoys spontaneity and ridiculous behavior, but although she encourages her friends to engage in ridiculous spontaneity she wlil never ask anyone to do anything she knows they wouldn’t be comfortable doing.
She may enjoy being silly, but she’s no daredevil -- most of her spontaneity involves things such as wearing silly hats and racing, not jumping off roofs to see if she can fly. She likes having fun, not putting herself or other people at risk.Your VicesLikes:

Cera grew up just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania alongside her older sister, Wren. The two girls were best friends, sharing clothes and activities. When Wren enrolled in softball, Cera enrolled too. When Cera wanted to play clarinet, Wren took up the oboe so they could be in band together. Because of her father’s power they kept an exceptionally clean house, and took recycling and trash to the bins outside the house at least once a day (but often more frequently.)
Cera enjoyed preschool, because she loved playing with friends. But she was slower than her classmates when it came to picking up the Alphabet, or with recognizing numbers, and when she got to elementary school and was expected to begin learning to read and do simple math her love of school began to dissipate. Her parents were both very intelligent people who had done well in school, and it took a few years before they realized why their youngest daughter was struggling. But eventually, when she was in second grade, her teacher noticed that if her math answers were turned around (either upside down, in the cases of sixes and nines, or positions switched in the case of double digit answers) that she actually had the correct answer.
Her grades began to improve after this discovery, although she still was not a spectacular student -- particularly in subjects that required a lot of theory or sitting still listening to lectures. By contrast, in classes that involved hands on learning she did very well. As a result, some of her grades were wildly inconsistent; in science classes she always did outstanding in labs, but much more poorly with paperwork. She could do the work, but she couldn’t explain how she did it.
When she was in middle school she discovered her power by waking up one morning with her feet dangling over the bed. At first she thought that she had simply moved to the edge of her bed in her sleep, but when she stood up she realized that everything in her room had grown inexplicably smaller.
She screamed, waking up her family. Fortunately her father recognized what had happened, and his alma mater was called. Soon it was arranged that she would go off to Vermont. She missed Wren terribly, and kept hoping that her older sister would also manifest as a meta, but this didn’t happen.
She befriended and dated Graham Alderman (a fellow band student -- he played trumpet) for a bit in school, but he broke up with her when he realized he was much more interested in a mutual (male) friend -- although he still liked girls too. Maybe. What the heck. They had to discover the concept of bisexuality together (mostly by asking Doc N, because he held The Talk and seemed to know everything), and they were both relieved to discover there was nothing wrong with either one of them and they didn’t have to choose if they were straight or gay. Hooray!
Each summer break she went home to see her family, although in 2010 when she returned to school it was to a perplexing amount of injured or absent teachers. It wasn’t unusual for teachers to come and go at Hammel (perhaps related to the fact that teaching teens is hard, and teaching teens who can catch things on fire is harder but there was something that seemed different about it.
That same year she heard on the news that some members of a meta-supremacist group had been captured and sent to Gitmo, which disturbed her greatly; she worried that baseline humans would assume that since she was meta, she would be a terrorist. But so far she has been fortunate, and nobody has suggested any such thing to her face, although once someone sent her anonymous hate mail on her tumblr after she made a post talking about her power.
Despite no longer dating she and Graham began a ska band once they hit college, but the band has already begun to fall apart -- trying to get everyone together for rehearsals has been nearly impossible, and they’ve lost reputation with venues as some of their fellow band members fail to show, or show up inebriated.
She’s studying Elementary Education because she loves children, and teaching children involves a lot of being silly and hyperactive, which she enjoys. She hopes she doesn’t have to dye her hair back to brown, though; she really likes the pink.Roleplay ExampleneverWhat About You?Name: Dryope
