General Appearance: Beck is a generally average looking young man. He has short dark hair and dark eyes to match. He is six feet even with the average build of a kid who is active but doesn't work out regularly. He plays sports but is not an avid exerciser. He has olive skin, getting darker in the summer time with a clear farmer's tan. He has a long face with drooping eyes and a slightly crooked nose. His lips are long and thin, usually in a neutral expression.
He isn't a picky guy when it comes to clothes. He'll wear what he's given. Any slacks to go with his numerous t-shirts. He generally has a jacket layered over or close by incase it gets chilly. He also sometimes has his wrists lined with bracelets, be them bands or braided leather. He always has a watch on his wrist, so much that removing it would show a pale patch in it's shape. His arms feel naked without some sort of accessory.
Personality: Beck is a friendly enough guy. He gets along with other people, and doesn't really like conflict. He is a shrugger, not really giving his opinion when asked. Cats or dogs? "I dunno, either." He isn't very firm in what he says, easily being swayed to go along with something he doesn't feel like doing. He's the guy you can get to do just about anything with a little convincing and possibly the bribery of buying lunch. Frankly, he'll do just about any dare.
Despite this adventurous side, Beck is fairly quiet. He doesn't go walking up to anybody he sees and starts talking to them. He doesn't really contribute to conversations he's even part of. He can kind of blend into the background in a crowd. He'll go with the crowd, but not really do anything to make himself noticed on purpose. He enjoys the spotlight, he just doesn't always want to be in it. He enjoys his alone time as much as time spent with others.
Beck isn't too book smart. He tries to study, and does work hard to get good grades. In the end he is that kid that barely scrapes by each year. He struggles with dyslexia, and easily gets frustrated with small fonts and long math problems. He has little patience for things he doesn't understand. It's either he gets it, or it's impossible. If he doesn't understand a question he doesn't skip and come back to it later, he gets worked up over it and gives up on the whole assignment. When frustrated he shuts down with "I don't know" his go to response to anyone asking if he needs help or what is wrong. He isn't the best with communicating his problems.

History
Beckett had a pretty plain childhood. He was born and raised in a little town in Canada, just north of the Vermont border. There was the happy little Grenier family. He was the little brother, looking up to Colin, always copuing and annoying him as a younger sibling does. There wasn't much to it really. His parents worked, his brother went to school, and he was spending his days at daycare playing with those huge child-proof legos.
Beck was excited to start school, he was growing up just like his brother. Unfortunately his struggle showed early. At first everyone thought he was just a poor student and rolled with it. He failed first grade, having to be held back to do it all again. That was a big shot in his confidence. He continued on to second, and in third grade he was diagnosed with dyslexia. He had to slow down and really look at his school work to understand it. Unfortunately he didn't have the patience, and had to repeat fourth grade as well. With this repeat he was given a special education teacher to help him through his work. He successfully made it on to middle school after that.
It was the summer after that, at twelve years old, his power manifested. Nobody even realized he had an ability until the recruiter showed up a couple days later after sensing his manifestation. He was brought to Hammel to learn his power and continue with his struggling education. He is currently fifteen years old with decent control over his power, and now about at a seventh grade education.
Roleplay Example
The evening was just starting, wizards and witches in dress robes were entering the building to the party. They all had their best dress robes on, to show themselves off during the night. The grand room was lit with candles that were floating in various areas of the room, and expensive drapes of only the finest fabrics framed the tall windows that viewed over the town. The party was elegant to say the least, in muggle terms it would be a black tie event.
Li was in the corner fixing his sleeves and eyeing the guests. Unlike others there he was on the clock. It was his job to make sure no one made a scene. It's not like they were going to though, it was "high society". They didn't make scenes. That made the Korean's job easy, just stand there and be a wall flower essentially. It wasn't very exciting and he didn't really want to spend his night watching other people drink and mingle, but he didn't complain. It was easy money, and the host paid him handsomely thinking he needed to rent some formal wear. Li took offense to that, he had his own thank you very much.
He sighed and strolled the perimeter of the room. Occasionally he stopped to exchange niceties with older gentlemen that acknowledged him. It was an average boring evening. He leaned against the wall as he eavesdropped on nearby conversations. It was mostly wizards discussing business or catching up since the last party. He scanned the crowd again wondering if he knew anyone.
Wait... Was that child?
He did a double take at a young girl in the room. No way she could've been old enough to be there. This wasn't exactly the kind of event that you bring your child too. Li straightened up and weaved through the people over to her. "Excuse me little girl, but isn't it past your bed time?" He approached her with a raised brow.
