The Details
Hair Color: Black, with reddish ends
Eye Color: Deep brown

General Appearance: Cecilia looks like a pretty standard teenager, although she is very physically fit. She’s 5’4” tall, which she says is too short. She has lovely black hair that she just recently started bleaching and dying, because she says it looks cool. She wears it down unless she’s doing something physical, then it’s a rough ponytail. She just recently hit puberty, so she still has a slightly childish figure.
Her fashion choices are still working themselves out. She’s modeled herself after her mother, mostly, who is far more stylish than her father. Still, it’s mostly t-shirts and jeans, with occasional leggings, cool-looking blouses, a faux-leather jacket, and such. The colors are everywhere, but she likes bold reds and blues the most. She has three pairs of converse, but prefers to be barefoot. She also doesn’t wear dresses or skirts. You can't run and climb in those.
She’s also been experimenting with makeup, but she usually isn’t wearing it. It takes a LONG time to put on by yourself!
Personality: Cecilia is unrelentingly positive. Although she knows that life can be tough, she deeply believes that everything will be okay eventually. Although it never stops her from moping when she’s sad, she bounces back quickly. She's one of those people who can experience their emotions quickly, and discard them when they aren't useful.
On top of this, she is also energetic. She always was, but after she hit puberty and became incredibly agile, it’s been magnified. Sometimes it’s hard for her to know when she should take a break or give up. She also tends to jump from idea to idea and task to task without ever finishing anything.
Although she’s technically a teenager, she acts childish. She has a lot of wonder and still likes stuff that a lot of her peers have grown out of. Thankfully, if anyone says anything, she doesn’t notice it. She's trying to venture into the teenage world and fit in, but there's a lot of mismatch between the stuff she thinks she should do and the stuff she wants to do.

History
Cecilia was born to Travis and Trisha Ramsey in spring 2002. She spent that year doing baby stuff, including but not limited to: potato impressions, pooping, and eventually, smiling and laughing and finding ways to be endearing. Cecilia didn’t want to learn how to crawl; she was frustrated with her stupid legs being unable to hold her weight, and often cried because she had no form of locomotion. Soon after she learned to walk, she learned to climb and to run, and after that she was the Ramsey’s adorable little stress-inducing terror. The toddler had no fear.
She didn’t really grow out of it, although she learned that her actions have consequences after enough falls. When she was five she was climbing playground equipment in ways that it wasn’t supposed to be climbed, and fell and broke her arm. It really hurt, and she had to watch her mom cry as she took them to the ER. It was very scary to see mommy cry like that.
School was tough for Cecilia. Playtime was fine; she was amazing at sharing and playing with others. The sitting still parts, though… she tried, but it was really hard. Reading was the worst part. She could sit still and color, but reading just never spoke to her. It was hard. Eventually, she got “good enough” at both reading and sitting still.
When Cecilia was 7, her parents got divorced. She was very sad and confused about it at first, but both parents were (usually) very kind and supportive for her. She went to a councilor as well, just to help. Honestly, Cecilia thought seeing the councilor was fun. Besides being able to explain her situation to her in a way she could understand, the councilor had some cool stuff that she could play with and climb and yell and run before they talked.
Not too long after she got settled with the separate-household/every other week thing, she started a gymnastics program, which she stuck with for about a year. She did a rock climbing after school program in 3rd grade, and took some dancing classes once a week during 4th grade. She went back to gymnastics and climbing once a week or so until she hit puberty and had to go to Hammel.
She hit puberty and got her powers a little bit later than average; only a few months before her 14th birthday. Her first sign (and really, the only one she needed) that her powers had manifested was while she was rock climbing. There was this one climb that was set by a really tall adult for him to practice dynos (jumping for the next hold). She could never get it, but it was fun to try. However, on this day, she could do it. It wasn't easy, but she could do it. She kept trying out harder climbs, and everything was easier. She could bring her feet up higher, she could twist up in corner climbs easier, and she found it easier to grasp the holds. She was out of commission the next day, and couldn't go to school. Her joints and muscles HURT.
Thankfully, Cecilia's father was also a meta (lie detection, which may explain the divorce) so she knew what was going on and knew what was going to happen. It was helpful, because otherwise Cecilia would be massively confused and a little scared. The nature of her powers was sort of subtle, considering her history, and compared to other kids. Thankfully, Hammel sounded fun, even though she'd miss her parents and friends and cat.
It was still a pretty easy transition. Cecilia was too interested in everything new, and too busy with training and classes, to really, deeply miss everyone. So far she's met a lot of people, and sort of made friends, but she hasn't gotten close to anyone yet. The schoolwork feels a tiny bit easier, probably because she gets a lot of energy out during training. It's harder when she can't. Her grades are... okay. Generally between a B and a C, with history and math being her worst subjects, and anything hands-on in, say, science, she doesn't quite well on.
Roleplay Example
Cecilia jumped out of the car, and waved to her dad without looking back at him. She was already running inside. She pushed the door open and above her loomed tall walls with colorful spots that looked a lot like chewed bubblegum from a distance. The rock climbing gym! She grinned.
It was the last day of the competition. It had been once a week for almost two months, and it was sad that it was ending, but her team was winning. Cecilia tossed her backpack onto the floor just a couple feet from the door and pulled out her harness and shoes. The backpack was discarded against the wall (despite the stack of bags not far away) and she sat down to put on her climbing shoes before she ran out onto the padded climbing floor.
"I'm here!" She announced.
