This is an idea that's been floating around in my head for a while, and I would love to see this character get made.
Name: Helen Baker
Nickname: Leonard, Len
Age: Between 14 and 17
Member Group: Student
Power(s): Shapeshifting (into other human appearances only, not animals) and voice changing (for voices to match human appearences appropriately)
Here's where the character gets complex. Len is transgendered. It's important to use male pronouns for him. He hasn't been able to seek any sort of medical treatments such as hormones because his parents won't give consent. He uses his powers to give himself a more masculine appearance and voice.
It doesn't matter what he looks like (height, race/ethnicity, any of it); that can be left up to the player who would do me the favor of adopting this character. For play bys, it might be necessary to nab a female play by as well for his non-transformed appearance since as a student he can't be transformed all of the time. But that's a decision for admin. If you need two play bys, all I ask is that there's a realistic physical connection between them, since Len only changes his appearance to masculinize himself, not to take on a completely different identity (such as changing ages and ethnicities).
His personality will be complex due to the effect of not only being meta but also of his gender identity. He needs to be introverted and a bit insecure about his appearance. His interests are completely up to the player, although it's possible that at this age he might hyper-compensate into the realm of perceived "acceptable masculine" interests, but that isn't necessary.
His family should include both parents still married and at least one sibling, an older brother. There can be more, either brothers or sisters, younger or older if the player wishes. His parents shouldn't approve of his gender identity but they also shouldn't outright reject them; put them on the tolerance spectrum at a place where they hope he'll grow out of it but still love him (and use his birth name and female pronouns).
I do hope someone takes him, and I'm available for plotting and discussion. Thank you kindly.
