Any Piercings? ... A lot. A freaking lot. Both ears, a small stud on the left side of his nose, his lip, his eyebrow. There’s more, believe me.
Any Tattoos? He has more tattoos than piercings. Most of them are his own artwork. He got his first one at sixteen, with his parents’ permission. It was a long orange ribbon that winds all the way down his left arm. At the very top is the word “survivor”. He has a number of cartoonish figures up his right arm, and because he’s a bit of a closet nerd, yes, he has the Batman symbol. He just won’t tell you where. He has a few constellations mapped out, namely Pegasus on his right hip, and the big dipper across his shoulders. They’re just… really, really hard to figure out.
Any Scars? Most of them are relatively small, and he’s covered them with body art. There is one that remains un-inked, on his chest. As soon as he has enough money, it will be colored over, too.
General Appearance:Alex is short. That’s one of the first things you’ll notice about him. He’s only about 5’4”, and at this point, he’s given up all hope of growing anymore. It’s why he drinks coffee like it’s water. It’s not like it’s going to stunt his growth anymore.
Aside from being short, Alex is also notable because of his body art. His piercings, his tattoos, and the fact that his hands are usually scribbled all over with permanent markers. Though he doesn’t paint his nails, they’re often colored with ink. He does do the guyliner thing, but that’s not because it’s “cool”, he just likes the way it looks. Besides, it takes away from the fact that he sometimes has dark shadows under his eyes, if he’s been up watching the stars, or he’s spent a good deal of the night talking over the internet with his cousin.
Alex doesn’t mind that he’s a bit of an outcast. It’s not like he makes the effort to fit into the mainstream. Chasing popularity doesn’t interest him. He’d much rather be himself, and if that makes him weird, that’s fine with him.
As a bit of an aside, Alex does wear glasses. They aren’t strong, but he does have to wear them. They have thick black plastic frames, but he often trades them out for contact lenses. It isn’t that he’s vain. It just depends how much time he has in the morning. He really doesn’t care what other people think. He’s the same with his clothes. He likes dark colors, but he’ll wear anything. T-shirts, hoodies, jeans, he tends to wear things typical of a nineteen year old boy. He’s very casual, but he’s not against dressing up now and again. If he has a good enough reason to do it.
Personality: Lexy is… Lexy. Ridiculously cheerful, cuddly, spazzy. He’s the kid that bribes you out of bed at two in the morning to go and watch a meteor shower, coffee already in hand. Alex has a real zest for life, and he hates doing things like sleeping through his alarm and wasting half a day in bed. He doesn’t half ass things, either. If he’s going to do something, he sees it through to the end. It doesn’t matter if it’s as important as figuring out what to do for his cousin’s next birthday, or as mundane as writing an English paper.
The way Alex sees it, life is for living. It’s why he has little patience for those that play around and waste time, or complain about it. He knows life is too short for that kind of crap. Lexy is almost always on the go, particularly when he’s free from his classes and schoolwork. He’s a bit of a night owl, and while that leaves him a little sleep deprived, he deals with it. He spends a lot of time thinking, if he’s on his own. Sometimes, he’s not fond of his own company. Good thing he’s a social creature.
Well, most of the time. Alex is a shy guy. But once he makes a friend, he’s loyal. He’s loyal, and he turns into nerdzilla. He’ll talk your ear off about stars, about comic books, and about his latest devious plan for his next tattoo. He’s constantly sketching in his free time, or between homework assignments. Or when the lecture is on something he already knows inside and out. He has notebooks filled with silly doodles in the margins, and sketch books completely drawn over. If he gets really bored, sometimes he’ll draw on his hands with sharpie markers. He knows that he’s seen a bit of an outcast, but he doesn’t let that bother him. Not anymore. There are worse reasons to be an outcast.
Lexy can be secretive. Certain subjects will make him clam up, and not much can penetrate that wall. He doesn’t like talking about the first time his power surfaced. And when asked about his childhood, he tends to sidestep a lot of the time he spent in the hospital. It’s also part of the reason he tends to keep his shirt on around other people, even if he’s swimming. He doesn’t like questions about his scar, and he really can’t wait until he can afford to cover it up with ink. He’s also not free from feeling the effects of depression. If he’s left alone with his own thoughts, they can sometimes turn negative, and it takes a bit of effort to get out of that little funk.

History
Alex was born like any other kid in the world. Two parents, a loving household. For the first six years of his life, he was a normal kid. He played with his cousins, he went to school, he was doted on by his parents. An only child, his parents adored him. He was their little prince (as silly as that sounds).
But when he was six, things went a little weird. Alex got sick, and couldn’t seem to shake it. He got bruises on his legs, when he wasn’t a clumsy child. After a few doctors’ visits, and a few days in the hospital, tests confirmed it. Alex had leukemia. He hated the treatments. He hated being poked, being given medication that made him sick. All he wanted was to go home, and for his parents to stop looking so sad. He got his wish, eventually. The drugs worked their magic, and he went into remission. He got to go back to living a normal life, albeit with parents slightly more overbearing and protective.
By the time he was ten, he was quite happy with the idea of being normal. His past was more of a distant, nightmarish memory, and he was happy to leave it behind. And then… he started feeling sick again. He tried to hide it from his parents, but it didn’t take long for them to figure it out. He went back to the hospital, and back to the awful medications. It was harder, this time. He was older, he understood what was happening. It didn’t make him like it any more than he did when he was six. His doctors had trouble with his veins, and he ended up with a shunt in his chest to deliver the drugs.. It left a scar that he still hates today.
It took longer, but once again, Lexy beat it. It left him tired, and a little fragile, but he won. It also left him with a real appreciation for life. But kids can be nasty, and that spark was quick to start dying. He was teased, avoided, and generally shunned by a good population of his school. Instead of letting it get him down, however. Alex just focused on the friends that stuck around. He focused on his studies, on his art, and when he couldn’t sleep at night, the stars. He began a slight fascination with the night sky, learning about the patterns the stars made, and the stories behind them.
Things seemed okay, until he reached the age of fifteen. In high school, he was shoved around for being small, and for being a smart ass in class. (What was it about jocks that made them dislike the smart kids?) He was handling it all right, until one of his junior high tormentors brought up the one thing that pushed his buttons. The fact that he was sick became rather public knowledge, very quickly, and Alex snapped. It was one button pushed a little too hard, and when the much bigger student made a move for him, he couldn’t get at him. Something stopped him, something solid, but invisible. Alex had done the only thing he could. His meta genes kicked in, and he kept himself out of harms way.
Of course, that really didn’t help his status as a weirdo. And after he finally stopped, his hearing felt like he’d just been standing in the mosh pit of a concert. His eyesight was blurred, despite him wearing his contacts, and everything he touched made him feel like his hands were half asleep. He was freaked out, naturally. He was even more freaked out when Hammel came for him.
Since then, he’s gotten used to his meta status. He’s almost gained full control over his powers, and once he’s finished at Hammel, he wants to get into university and study either genetics, or astrology. Some kind of science. Until then, he’s content with applying himself in class, practicing his power, and trying to convince his fellow students that life is awesome.
Roleplay Example
Once upon a time there was an administrator named Mads, that really didn’t need a sixth character. But Alex whined and pleaded and cried so much she couldn’t ignore him anymore.
