Rules for Of the Month Competitions

One

Eligibility. All members are eligible for Member of the Month EXCEPT members who have won in the past eight months. All characters are eligible for Character of the Month EXCEPT characters who have won in the past eight months and characters played by the same person who has won CotM in the past four month. All relationships are eligible for Relationship of the Month except relationships that have won in the past eight months. All RP threads with at least one response are eligible for Thread of the Month, provided the thread began in the month in question or after nominations closed the previous month.

Two

MotM. Members are nominated for four days, starting eight days before the end of the month. Four days before the end of the month, a poll is put in place. You may nominate or vote for a member using whatever criteria you want.

Three

CotM. Characters are nominated for four days, starting eight days before the end of the month. Four days before the end of the month, a poll is put in place. You may nominate or vote for a character using whatever criteria you want.

Four

RotM. Relationships are nominated for four days, starting eight days before the end of the month. Four days before the end of the month, a poll is put in place. When nominating, you must describe the relationship. All relationships are eligible: romantic, filial, friendships, enemies. A character may be involved in consecutive RotM wins, but only if the relationship is different. For example, James and Chase may win for their romantic relationship, then Chase may win again for his friendship with someone else.

Five

TotM. Threads are nominated for four days, starting eight days before the end of the month. Four days before the end of the month, a poll is put in place. You may nominate or vote for a thread using whatever criteria you want.

Six

Polls. Polls will remain secret until the first of the month.

Seven

Awards. Specially-made awards will be posted in the sidebar for all to see. They will be catalogued in a Hall of Fame thread, and winners may use their awards however they wish.

Eight

Votes. Only vote once in each poll. Don't vote with more than one account.
