Calling all members! We need your nominations for the Of The Month awards! Have you seen an awesome character lurking the forums? How about a thread you just can’t stop reading? Or a journal you keep coming back to? Nominate it here! We’re looking for nominations for all categories:

Character of the Month – Straightforward. Nominate your favorite character from Hammel. As of now, Neon's, Lynx's, Sandrine's, and Tony's characters are all off limits, as they’ve won in the past four months.

Member of the Month – Again, pretty easy, right? Toss up the name of your favorite member. Remember, Nu, Neon, Kayla, and Penny are off-limits for nominations

Relationship of the Month – Anything goes here! Friends, romance, enemies, anything! The exceptions to the rules are:
Alex and Ann- Romantic
Mia and Ginny - Friendship
Midori, Eli, Darryl, and Tory- Family
JD and Zac- Friends

Thread of the Month – Any and all threads that were started after the last round of OTMs are eligible!

Journal of the Month – We will not be nominating for Journal OTM. All eligible journals will be included in the poll in four days.

Reasons: Well, Feddy's been a talented, contributing member for quite awhile now. She didn't post much last month, but she's really come back with a vengeance. I hope this streak continues, because I love her characters.

Nomination: Christina Byrne
Reasons: First of all, she's pretty spunky when you get right down to it, coming after Gin and Kateri with her water gun. And her insecurities over her first time baking without her grandmother's guidance was just so adorable. I really look forward to seeing more from her.

Nomination: Sawyer Carson/Rhys Rockwood
Reasons: Normally I'm a bit leery of student/teacher romances, but the age gap is actually reasonable and Rhys is helping Sawyer to turn her life around, which is just adorable.

Reasons: Threads like this are why I love open threads! I love prank threads, particularly ones that allow for multiple people to get involved. Dani's prank is fun and not particularly malicious (though Mia may not appreciate it), Tom's assumption cracked me up and Jared sending a flirty text to an unknown number was just too fun. Really, how can you not enjoy this thread?

Reasons: She jumped into Hammel with both feet when she joined and now has three delightful, active characters who say awkward things, get into barfights, and talk to strangers at bars. It's awesome! That, and she puts up with my shrieking with almost inhuman patience.

Reasons: Okay, I don't care that she just showed up. This chick is hilarious. She literally makes me laugh out loud with every post I read of her and she's written with hilarity and wit that's really refreshing. I love her already and I hope she stays around for a long time.

Reasons: RICHMONDS. RICHMONDS EVERYWHERE. I love watching them interact and I love family stuff and every one of them is so interesting I find myself stalking all their threads. Which is a lot of threads

Reasons: Oh Honor. Oh Sam. This thread is extremely hilarious, Honor is ridiculously cranky for no reason and Sam is befuddled. It makes me giggle all the time xD

Reasons: Okay, first and foremost, who can not love that power with the horrible thoughts of teenage boy-ness? Even if most of it is in Korean, some things can slip out. This character is full of possibility for awkward, fiery, nasty, wonderful, or just plain funny situations. <3

Nomination: Flowers and Cards: Is Your Heart Still Beating?
Reasons: Who here was not freaked and all sadface for Jamesy and little Niko? Not to mention everyone's physical and psychological well-being(or lack thereof, as the case may be) hanging out there where nobody knew. That is to say, this was a much anticipated thread. And, this has everything you could possibly want from these guys in an intense post-battle recovery thread.

Reasons: Unfortunately, no matter how I try to be coherent with my reason, I just can't. Can't I just leave it at "She's just too awesome"? XD.

Reasons: I just love how everything comes to a full 360 in this thread, at least for Ginny's side of the story. I just feel so bad that she's been in the dark for so long that it's about time she knows the truth. <3

Reasons: Do I need a reason? She is sweet, loveable, and every single thread of hers makes me smile. She is absolutely the best written mother I have ever read, and I adore her.

Reasons: Dryope has been nothing but kind to me since I joined. She is one of the first people who I threaded with, and she always has great ideas for threads, titles and great ways to get the muse going.

Reasons: Because Sean gets pulled over for a broken taillight and it's awkward and kind of adorable. I love Charlie and Sean's interactions as they...kind of sort of bond over a citation? Who knows? I just kind of find it funny.

Nomination: Cobalt and Elaine - Friendship
Reasons: Once again, I have to cite cuteness. It's wonderful to see Cobalt not be grumpy with people and to see these two very different characters interact. I'm hoping this is legal considering I also nominated Elaine for the character of the month, but I can't help it.^^*

[Dr. Sean Neville]

Nomination: Danny Silverman
Reasons: I think he's adorable. He's a classic fish out of water - the type of character I like - and he's doing the best he can with how so much has been thrown at him so soon: new people, new places, old friends, and an unfortunate position in a love triangle and a hate triangle.

Reasons: I know I do this essentially every month, but she continues to make me happy and impress me. Since returning she's created wonderful new characters with new connections, she's a joy in the C-Box, she has some great plots started/on the horizon, and she's doing something for me out of the goodness of her heart. How can I not love her?

Nomination: Ben Sparks and Ben Rhodes - Dating
Reasons: They have an interesting relationship. Also, my favorite aspect of American Beauty *might* be the fact that the neighbors were named Jim and Jim and so their relationship makes me smile. Plus there's all the surrounding angst.

Nomination: A Thousand Lies and a Good Disguise
Reasons: While it's true that I have a vested interest in L.C.'s threads, that isn't the reason why I'm nominating this one. There's something both absurd and immediately identifiable in the notion of accidentially agreeing to take swimming lessons from a jerk with whom you have a complicated relationship. I don'tenvy L.C. the situation - or most recently having to explain her body chemistry - and I'm quite curious to see how this develops.
