Vincent and Rose's relationship had been doing quite well. Despite their age difference, Rose and Vincent had bonded quickly and their trust for one another had cemented almost completely. Vincent had given Rose a key to his house and in typical female fashion, Rose had already begun to alter a few things here and there to lay claim to Vincent. Vincent found it amusing and while he was very masculine, he had grown up with a mother and sister and so, he was used to lacy and frilly things about the house. As long as he had some place to claim as his and all his, Vincent was pretty okay.
Rose's profession complimented Vincent's own in terms of hours they both worked. Being a pediatrician meant being on call day and night, a fact which had interrupted more than one date. Vincent didn't complain as what Rose did was a demanding job, plus, his own profession had demands of its own. Being head of security at Hammel was a life in and of itself. Vincent constantly had to be aware of what powers were within the walls of the school, not to mention keeping the local authorities at arms length and out of Hammel business. There was always something demanding Vincent's attention at Hammel, but Vincent was used to the stress considering his past profession.
Usually, Vincent would meet Rose at the hospital for a bite in the cafeteria on her supposed lunch break. It wasn't anything glamorous, but it was nice. Vincent was a simple man and so, just sitting with Rose, enjoying a burger and fries was his idea of a great date. Rose never tried to make more of their dates, she just always wanted to have fun.
As usual, Vincent was waiting on Rose. He was sitting at their usual table toward the back of the cafeteria, stirring a luke warm up of coffee. He was dressed casually as always, his eyes watching the entrance of the cafeteria. His PDA was laying on the table top, set on vibrate as the ringer just annoyed him. Technically, Vincent was off duty, but according to the fine print of his contract, Vincent was never really off duty. The one thing he had going for him though, was he was scheduled to be off today as he had some other business to tend to here at the hospital. Vincent was awaiting some test results on his last physical and planned to pick them up after his lunch date with Rose.
