Finals were coming, and every spare minute that she had was spent studying. She had some major labs and classes this semester, and it took a lot of her time to make sure that all the work was accomplished and understood. Chemisty and biology especially were giving her problems, and she rather wished that she could ask Theo to help her out. However, she felt like that would be cheating, so when she wasn’t working or practicing, she was here at the university library, studying. Nose deep in the dry, dusty tomes that were supposed to help impart knowledge and wisdom. Aracelli was less than excited.
The lessons with Theo had continued, and although they weren’t doing much of anything beyond a box step, it was stasifying to know that she was really helping him. He was managing to step on her feet a bit less, and had almost totally mastered the simple dance. She’d have to think up what to teach him next soon. Maybe a full on waltz, maybe something even more complex. It would depend on what he was up for. The friendship with Theo had grown as well, and she looked on the man as something of a father figure. It was nice to have that with her father so far away.
Reece and she had settled into a nice routine as well. It was still pretty contentious between them, but it was getting better. Time would help that. Hopefully, Aracelli would be able to remain patient for as long as it would take. That was going to be the difficult part. Patience was not a virtue that the Spanish girl possessed. However, it was what she had to do, and she was going to do it.
Aracelli shook her head and focused back on the periodic table in front of her. She was going to have to place random elements, and there was no way she had enough of them memorized. This was going to take all night. The dark haired girl groaned and dropped her head into the book, wishing that her brain was sponge-like and could just absorb the knowledge through osmosis. Another quiet groan accompianed the lift of her head and dark eyes focused once again. An elbow rested on the table and her palm propped up her chin.
The soft rustle of paper caught her attention and she looked up, giving the person standing there a wan smile. “Hi, come to study for finals?”
