End of Childhood (Open to Isaac's ladyfriends)

If he wasn't so excited, Isaac might have started to cry.

So it was good thing he was excited, because it would have been pretty embarrassing to be standing outside the movie theater at ten at night--housing had given them an extended curfew--dressed up as Harry Potter, and crying. As it was, he was outside the movie theater at ten at night, dressed up as Harry Potter, and grinning like a maniac.

He was particularly proud of the costume he wore, as he had been very particular about the details. (He'd bought the Gryffindor patch on his chest, though. Despite his skill with the rest of costuming, he did not have the patience for embroidery.) Right down to the pair of glasses he'd bought online, only to break and repair with scotch tape, his costume was as accurate to the books as he could manage.

And, as a teenage boy, he was also pretty proud of the fact that he was there with a group of teenage girls. There were some perks to being the guy with the sewing machine. And the guy who was willing to make up a bunch of Hogwarts ties last minute, when everyone else decided to come in costume too. He spun his wand--a movie replica, a gift from his mother a few years ago for Hanukkah--between his fingers and grinned at the girls. "So, what do you guys want to do while we wait? I've got cards." They couldn't leave, or they'd lose their place in line.

....if anyone else decided to go to the dinky Pilot Ridge theater and not the nice big one over in Burlington.

[D]A[N]I[C]C!?

Dani had no clue what she was doing with these people, but hey, it was Harry Potter opening night. She grew up with the Harry Potter series, wanted to make out with Malfoy for two seconds then switched to Luna being her Wizard crush, then somehow ended on Snape, whom she was dressed as tonight. Thank god for parents with money to send--and, knowing the Costume Boy didn't really hurt either. She would have blackmailed him into it, but Isaac was surprisingly willing to help with costuming of a teenage girl he hardly knew. It was... Nice(?) to not have to go so far for once. Especially concerning such an incorruptibly holy day, one of sadness and happiness and all-around... Well, it was the final movie! Who would deny her a little break from being evilher usual self, especially when she was dressed as Snape of all people?

She held up her hand with her wand (It was Luna's, not Snape's, but it was the only one she had) and made a rather loud suggestion, pulling something out of her messenger bag(Yes, even with the Snape costume) that she was sure would make everyone at least interested if not happy. "I say we try to figure out how to play this. Just for fun and non-boredom's sake." She would never remember all of it, but it would be fun to play it for the first time since Prisoner of Azkaban came out.

Oh, and she was holding one more thing back: The your mom jokes in relation to Isaac being dressed as Harry Potter. Those were not something she felt she should even be thinking under the current circumstances.

The end of Harry Potter! What an emotional day.  The actress was especially stoked, because she was back home in Pilot Ridge for the premiere instead of in NYC. It may have been a lot bigger there in the Big Apple, but it would be more fun for her here with her friends to celebrate. It was especially fun since she'd made her own costume by hand, with only a few minor things she couldn't exactly make herself in the timespan presented to her added on. She was dressed as Hermione Granger, semi-tamed frizzy hair and Time Turner and all. With a little collaboration with Isaac, she'd managed a pretty exact replica of a Hogwarts robe and uniform, down to the shoes and knee high socks. Did she feel a little ridiculous? Hell yes, and that was the point!

Fiddling with her wand, Ariana pulled her Gryffindor scarf a bit tighter around her neck, leaning back against the wall as the minutes ticked by. She hated waiting long for anything, but it was soooo worth it, or at least she hoped. The last movie was promising, so she bet this one would be even better. The climax of any theatre piece or series had to be dramatic, something huge that left the audience shell-shocked. Anything less would leave the drama queen disappointed. Idly, she played with the hourglass on her Time Turner, watching the sand sink through as she waited. Funny. She could go back in time as well as this little device was supposed to let someone, only she couldn't change anything. She chuckled go herself, looking around as she came back to where she was. 

Of course she knew Isaac. He'd invited her after all, when she'd asked for his advice on her costume. She didn't know how many of the other girls she recognized, but it was fun being around other fanatics. Her eyes caught on the girl dressed as Snape, a small smile on her lips. It really was a nice costume, and a girl dressing up like the badass Potions professor was just epic in her books. Ariana had been considering going as Bellatrix Lestrange, but she had the Time Turner already from her fifteenth birthday, so she went with Hermione instead. It would have been fun playing the unhinged female Death Eater. Still, at least she got to speak in her English accent.  

Her eyes brightened as the Snape girl pulled a game out of her bag, leaning forward with interest, a frizzy lock of hair falling into her eyes. "Harry Potter trivia?" she asked, hazel eyes twinkling with excitement. She'd seen the game before somewhere, probably online. "I think it'd be a good way to pass the time." All they had right now was time. At least this looked entertaining. 

[Ginny Campbell]

Ginny had been plotting to meet and attach herself to this Isaac person ever since Estelle mentioned knowing someone with a sewing machine. After all, she really wanted to have epic costumes for the local con and so she figured some sucking up to the guy who could help her was in order.

Which was why she was waiting for the Harry Potter premier here in Pilot Ridge rather than with any of her friends from college.

At least she knew Estelle, if nobody else. Not that it mattered; the other girls were merely friends she hadn't yet met.

Unlike the younger girls Ginny wasn't dressed as anyone in particular. There weren't too many blond characters to begin with and as she was half-expecting Jem to show up as Luna and she was fairly certain there were some disturbing parallels between the Death Eaters and the terrorists Chase had told her about she wasn't too keen on portraying Narcissa, either. She was calling herself random classmate number 6. That gave her leeway to do whatever she wanted, within reason.

Within reason meant a uniform that reminded her of her Catholic school girl days and a giant pointy hat she was going to have to take off in the theater. She wasn't exactly the best at costumes, but that was why she wanted to kidnap Isaac. She just hoped that she could; considering the fact that he was already surrounded by cosplaying young women his services might be difficult to employ. He could be completely booked all the way up to the con!

The game Dani pulled out looked interesting, although she wasn't sure she would really do that well. Harry Potter was more cousin Natalia's fandom; but that didn't matter. What mattered was it would be fun.

"Hell, yes!" She agreed, nudging Estelle in the side, "Whaddaya think? Prove that we got Potter down, or ditch the game and talk shipping."

Just as long as nobody brought up Harry and Draco. She heard enough of that already.

This. Was. Epic.

Isaac grinned at his compatriots and shrugged. Trivia sounded fine. "I think my family had that game when I was little. I don't think we ever really played though. My sister was too little to read the books then." He'd been really little when the books had started coming out, and his mom had started reading them to him when he was seven or so, right around the release of the third book. Naturally, he'd felt that he was different enough to be a wizard and had spent most of his eleventh year surreptitiously checking the mailbox, hoping he'd find a Hogwarts letter.

It had come when he was thirteen, along with a recruiter. Of course Hammel wasn't Hogwarts, but it's as close as was possible.

He raised an eyebrow at Ginny--who he knew was related to someone on the Hammel staff, but didn't know her last name--when she mentioned shipping. Really, it should have occurred to him earlier that anyone who was willing to dress up for this would probably be into fandom of some sort. "All the ships have sunk or sailed now, why start an argument?" After looking around and establishing that yes, their group was the only ones waiting outside so far, he sat down on the sidewalk. "Break it out, Danni. How does it work?"

Hopefully, the conversation wouldn't involve shipping, because then he'd either have to lie or admit that he'd shipped Harry and Hermione for a long time. And that would be awkward, considering who Ari had decided to cosplay as.
