Haley had mixed feelings about suddenly not having any powers. She felt her life at Hammel was sort of pointless and that meant she should go back to the orphanage. But at the same time, she no longer had to deal with training and being disappointed when she can't perform.

It did also mean she could walk outside of Hammel being...normal, if the word had ever applied to her. At least people won't find it weird that a 3 feet tall, quite unassuming little girl could leave a hole where she pressed a button a little too hard.

She could hug a pole without bending it out of shape, if she were inclined to hug a pole that is. And she could jump on a bench without it breaking, were she the type to run around and jump on benches.

Haley sort of wished this non-power thing would last. As long as possible. So she walked about in town, feeling pretty smug about her situation. Her hands were tucked in the belt loop of her baggy pants as she looked in the shops.

Without realising it, Haley had turned a dark corner and found herself in front of three quite menacing boys. One tall and fat, and one short and wiry and the third one pretty buff. The three stooges, Haley was inclined to call them due to their comically sized persons.

She then realised she was in a dark alley, the sun already setting, with three potentially dangerous guys. Without her power.

Busking! Who said you have to have a license? Apparently the cops so she was told to leave. It was really embarrassing and she really wanted the guy to go screw himself, but she went. Got seventy bucks out of it though which was cool. But still, rude! So on her venture back to school before she got in more trouble. But that didn't happen.

It didn't take long for her to walk passed an alley. One girl and three guys and if she saw right, one had fister cuffs. Really? Like seriously, were these muggers prepared to hurt this girl. This had never really happened, she had never been in a situation like this one but if that girl was in trouble, then she had to help. Even though getting into a fight wasn't really on her agender. But she could move shit with her mind, so really the scales were tipped a bit on her side.

Putting her phone in her pocket and having her guitar case on her back, she walked towards them. They definitely meant business, and so did she. "Hey boys, I have a question to ask you. Is this where I parked my car?".

"Piss off bitch!". Yeah, that didn't really slide well with Chloe. The skinny guy smirked as he said it, and turned back to the girl. But then Chloe rose an arm and concentrated, lifting the guy into the air. Hope they like this. Flicking her arm forwards, the tubby one was shot backwards and slid across the ground and to a hault. This was kind of fun, but she had to finish it quick and she was already getting a mind-splitting headache.

Another gesture as she looked at the garbage can on the ground and it launched and smashed the last guy in the face. They were down for the count but this much mental stress was getting to her. So with a flick of her wrist, the skinny kid nearly crying in the air spun rapidly in the air before landing with a thud. Now they will think twice before pissing her off. And no one - NO one, called her a bitch.

Haley jumped slightly when someone from behind spoke up. She turned and saw a taller girl with a guitar case on her back. A few words were exchanged and suddenly everything started flying around. The younger girl's eyes flew wide open and she inched backwards, away from the alley itself. The older girl clearly could handle herself.

Once all three of the guys were groaning on the ground, Haley breathed a sigh of relief and looked at the girl. "I...you...uh..." she stammered before hardening the expression on her face. "I could have dealt with that myself. So yeah, thanks for stealing my thunder." Haley muttered a swear directed to the girl as she pocketed her hands in her baggy jeans.

Was she shitting with her? Chloe looked at the girl with a surprised expression. Chloe just kicked ass because the girl looked like a lost puppy. So seriously, if she wants to do that plus Chloe having to risk having a headache to protect her, then this girl can go screw herself. Chloe rolled her eyes, and then heard another guy starting to get up. Spinning her wrist down low, the guy then spun in a a circle on the ground, lifting into the air and slamming onto the ground again.

'Exsqueeze me. When you had an expression like you found out jolly saint wasn't real, that kind of showed me that you were unmatched. So shut it!". Chloe then turned and saw the guys getting up and running away. Well that was fun, and she wasn't even worried about them telling. There had to be more then one meta out there with telekinesis.

Looking back to the girl, she noticed something. Someone in this situation seeing a girl throwing guys around like ragdolls without touching them would be freaked. But she wasn't. So she might be meta, even though Chloe hadn't seen her before. "So, your meta?". She then crossed her arm, looking at the girl. If she was meta, Chloe really wouldn't mind smashing her in the face with her 'thunder'. But there were rules, though Chloe had learnt that rules were made to be broken.

Haley gasped sharply when the older girl mentioned that Santa wasn't real. "My dreams...they're shattered. Completely." She clutched her chest for about two seconds before dropping her act and giving the older girl a deadpan look. "So shut it is your best response? Kudos older girl." Haley rolled her eyes, completely forgetting that the other meta had more or less basically saved her ass. "My opinion of you couldn't be any higher than it already is. See that? Sarcasm."

Her next question brought a sneer on Haley's young face. "What's it to you?" She couldn't tell the girl she had just lost her power from some freak accident. She didn't even know it was a freak accident or not. She just suddenly...lost it. It freaking hurt when she punched the table in the morning. It never used to hurt.

"So you do this often? Show off in dark alleys?"

This girl was frustrating her to no end. It was so hard, not to shoot her to the stars because this girl so obviously had her head in the clouds. Or up her ass, she couldn't tell. Chloe chuckled a bit because this girl was younger and attacking her. It was a bit humorous she had to admit, so laughing was only normal in this situation. "You know what - I will kick your ass if you keep this shit up, okay?". That was a bit scarey, going off at someone younger then her but something told her that this girl really wouldn't care.

Her anger had taken its toll as her subconscious kicked in. Two trashcan behind her lifted into the air as paper began to swirl again. This was why Chloe was convinced not to have kids, because they suck! She asked her a simple question and she came back with a smart ass comment. The trashcans smashed into the alley wall hard as the paper fell to the ground and she moved towards the girl. "That's it".

The girl asked if she showed off often. That made her want to strangle her now. "Okay, I saved you because you were about to get beat down and also, I don't need super powers to show off. Now shut, I'll take you to the police so they can get your parents to get you. Then you can go back to being there problem". Grabbing for the girl's arm, she was about to take her out of the alley. She now not only hated kids, but hated little girls.
