Edward jerked awake and last night came back in a torrent of happy memories. Flashing through his mind was laughing, dancing, drinking, joking around and now he knew why he had a headache. He needed coffee. He moved his hand up to touch his forehead and gave a groan. At that point he froze feeling the stir beside him and his head yerked to the side with a quick snap when he realized he was not completely alone. In the bed beside him lay a female. It was always bad when he couldn't see their faces. That fear of waking up beside the worse choice started creeping up in his head.
He tried to recall faces from the night before and no female face came to mind as he searched a room that was clearly not his own OR that of one of his roommates. He knew he was naked and she was naked. She wasn't fat, so that was a good thing. His eyes slipped back to the girl, who's face was obscured by her pillow and carefully he lifted said pillow enough to see her face. A grin slipped across his face. She wasn't ugly at all. Edward sighed in relieve before slipping from between the covers and the search began for his clothes. When he was decent, he slipped out the room without so much as a goodbye note.
Chances were he'd see the girl around town but if that unfortunate incident did occur he'd simply use his age old excuse: 'You were so beautiful as you slept, baby, I didn't wanna wake you.' Worked every time. Edward smirked, walking down the main street of the little town he often occupied his free hours with in hopes that he'd see something unusual. Okay, so maybe his obsession was getting out of hand but how can people not wanna know about Meta-humans? People that could actually do incredible and unbelievable things. It wasn't something that should be hidden.
In his mind, it was something to be honoured. Edward watched as people put out flower displays, packed out fruits and set out card racks before their shops ready for another day of customers. He wondered if these ordinary seeming people were special and simply hiding it from the rest of the world. Edward shook his head and dropped it forward so his hair fell straight into his eyes when he saw the set of keys on the floor. He frowned and scooped them up before looking around for someone who might have dropped them.
