As far as rules went, Deidra choose not to acknowledge them. What were they but words carried out by people. Why put faith in those words anyway? The girl, of course, had a little bit of authority issues. Not terribly so, but enough the it could become quite annoying when she really became saucy. The girl was just a wild thing who recognized no boundaries. It was really easy to tell, even by one look at her. She just looked like the rule breaking type.
This evening she was dressed in jeans, a tee, and a thick hoodie, ignoring the fact that it was a slightly drippy-sprinkly November evening. She rather enjoyed it actually. There were no people about to give the town life or emotion, and the quality of strangeness in that profound silence drew the girl like bee's to honey. It was the perfect time to be upto no good, a time without anyone to tell her she couldn't so whatever she wanted to.
Her ridiculously curly hair was bound out of the way in a ponytail, giving her very clear vision of the street. She giggled slightly, not used to such...aloneness. There were always people around. But not now, oh no. She tip toed out into the middle of the street, stepping carefully on the shiny yellow lines. Of course they were the first thing she noticed because of the fluorescent medium in them used to make the marking shines. But by gone it she was going to do something....amazing! The dark skinned girl really wasn't sure what though. She knew if she lived in one of the dorms she'd have never escaped, not with the wonderful dorm-mommy always on watch. Besides, the walls had ears anyway. But no, this girl lived in her family house, a good sized mansions at the edge of the residential district.
But what to do with this wonderful freetime? She wasn't really sure herself. She just twirled her fingers in the air, letting light illusions that looked like the aurora glide gently around her. The colors were surreal blue whites and deep purples, and glowed like nothing else. She spread them over the street kind of like a miasma, but non-lethal of course. The from her hands she 'blew' a few pale silken butterflies into existence, letting them roam through the colorful illusion fog. It was the most perfect thing ever! Only what to add next?
Deidra wasn't going to find out. She could hear the sound of a motor vehicle. Unlike most people though she didn't vacate the street. She just stood there with her head tilted to one side and a grin on her face like the cheshire cat.
