Gia was excited to get to have a night out of the dining hall with her boyfriend, getting a nice meal and an intimate night. Plus, now she could show him some of the nice new outfits she and Adrianna had bought only a couple days before. She smiled at the thought of his face when he saw them. Maybe, maybe she'd look more like she was supposed to as his girlfriend. That same soft smile that lit her face whenever he complimented her stayed on her face as she pulled out a black top with an asymmetrical neckline and clipped off the tags on it. She still didn't want to think about how much she had paid for any of this stuff. She just wanted to give back the credit card and pretend the clothing had just magically appeared in her closet.
The roommates were being rowdy and arguing with one another, as usual, and Gia finally gave in and took a pain killer for the headache she was certain would be coming soon with all of the bickering going on. No, no, she needed to be concentrating on getting ready for tonight rather than on who stole who's snacks or seat or socks or whatever it was that they were fighting about right now. No, a pretty white skirt caught her attention, and a larger-than-average-though-still-not-extremely-large, beaded belt to go with it and pulled them on. Good, good. Now make up.
She was running out of time. As Gia glanced over at her alarm clock near her bed, she realized she had about forty-five seconds to get at least her eye make up done before Craven was scheduled to get there. As anyone would do, Gia decided it might be faster if she didn't worry about breathing as she did the eye liner and eye shadow. So she held her breath, finally letting it out in a giant gasp for air as knuckles hit her door. "Uh.. umm just a minute! I mean, I guess you can come in. I'm just- I'm almost done!" Now for the other eye.
