Miranda was more than excited to bring her class notes to the small Greek restaurant. It was relatively unknown in town, and was near to her parent’s house, another place she couldn’t study. School at this time of year was packed with students at any time of the day, and her usual study nooks were taken up by people who felt the need to complain over studying instead of actually doing so. The brunette had ordered a lamb wrap and told her server to keep the coffee coming, up until the point he simply left a butler at her table.
Sipping at her coffee, Miranda decided it might be a good idea to just keep coming back here when she needed to study for finals. There was plenty of space for her books, and next to no people. It was also very clean, and the brunette wouldn’t have been able to eat here if it wasn’t. Nibbling at her wrap delicately, her grey eyes were on the geology textbooks before her, advanced calculus underneath that once she was done learning about the earth.
The set of eyes on her went unnoticed, as she was totally engrossed with her studies, even after said person had sat down. He was giving her a silly grin and Miranda only stared for a moment before speaking. “Do I know you?” She asked in a monotone voice, clearly uninterested. He seemed vaguely familiar, perhaps he was in one of her many classes, but she usually didn’t pay attention to people in general. There was absolutely nobody else in the restaurant, so why he chose to sit with her was beyond her imagination. They weren’t friends as far as she could remember, unless they had met at some party; that would explain a lot.
The server came by at that point, an empty cup of coffee in his hand. “Party of two then?” He asked, a pleasant smile on his face.
