Like mentioned before, max two ‘prizes’ per bidder, but remain considerate. Also, be tactful about the bids made! Ask yourself: can my character afford this? Kiara won’t be interfering after every bid. Mainly at the end and at the start of a new auction. Guys being auctioned can ‘advertise’ themselves on stage, but make sure it doesn’t go over the top and that it won’t interfere with the bidding etc. The item taken on stage is a good way as well. Enjoy!
Today was the day Kiara had been looking forward to for quite some time. Not only had she and Jackson put a lot of effort into organizing it, she also hoped it would pay off. MANifesto was an auction in which male Hammel students could be bid on; a fundraiser and the money would go to the student council to give them a chance to invest it in clubs or other activities throughout the year. While Jackson was at the door, handing out flyers which gave those entering a general idea of who would be auctioned that evening, Ki did one last check to make sure the auditorium was set up just like she had imagined it to be. There was refreshments and chips available.
Once satisfied, the blonde did a quick check on Jackson to make sure he wasn’t getting cold feet yet, hoping to God he wouldn’t gain them while witnessing other auctions. After that, Kia went ‘backstage’ to check on the guys who had submitted themselves. Seeing a couple of them nervous easily rubbed off on her, especially since she still wasn’t completely found for the idea to be the one leading the auctions and to actually handle a microphone. At least she wasn’t being auctioned though. It must be horrible to be the one to go out first, and maybe that’s why extra attention went to Odion Martins, simply to check if he was ready for this.
After having taken a peek into the auditorium, assuming most people had arrived, even though it wouldn’t shock her if some would walk in late, the girl inhaled deeply and smoothed hands over the dress being worn one last time before taking a hold of the microphone. No way she could cancel any of this now, so with as much courage as she could gather, Ki emerged on stage and stepped to the other side of it to make sure to not form an obstruction once the guys would appear one by one. Once she was pleased with her location, the microphone got lifted and she spoke. ”Hello, I-“ With a frown she lowered it again, realizing it hadn’t been switched on yet. Turning it upside down, she solved that problem by pressing the button and then tapped a finger on the round part, causing a rather loud noise to echo through the auditorium.
With a sheepish smile, Kiara smoothed a curl from her face. ”Um, hi. Welcome. I would like to start off with thanking everyone for their presence and for the interest shown. It’s very much appreciated. We hope you guys will have fun, that a decent amount of money will be raised and that all boys will be lucky enough to receive a bid.” Lowering the mic again, eyes briefly drifted to Mia. ”Oh, and please give it up for Mia Bell who will be our musician and music tech for the evening.” A hand gestured at the pink-haired girl, offering her friend a little grin before she straightened up once more.
”First up is someone for both the ladies and the gents. And you might want to bid; you never know what kind of cat’s in the bag. Odion Martins!” A hand now gestured to the other side of the stage again. Oh, hopefully all of this would work out. She soon started to applaud, hoping to encourage the boy.
This auctions ENDS Nov. 12 at Eastern time (GMT-5) (Hammel clock... unless you changed it to your time zone)
